My family and I have just returned from a week in cabin no 25.
We all thoroughly enjoyed our time there and will be booking again for next year.
The site is electronicly gated and well maintained with about 30 cabins in all. The cabin we had was spacious, comfortable, clean and very well equiped, the views were stunning. The cabin is right on Loch Lomond and has unobstructed views over the loch, there is a small safe beach directly in front of and only a few yds from the cabin where the children can play while still in your full view, there is a jetty should you have a boat or as my son and grandchildren did fish from. if you like walking Ben Lomond is in easy walking distance from the cabin, there are also boat trips around the loch from a local boat yard or another jetty just a short walk further up from the cabins.
I would suggest that you get your shopping before you get there as the nearest largish supermarket is 18 miles away but as there is a fridge and freezer at the cabin ( the freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer are in a small utility room attached to the cabin ) you can get the full weeks shop before arriving and if you prefer to eat out The Rowardennan Hotel is only about 100 yards away and you get a 20% discount on meals if you are staying in one of the cabins. There are a number of smaller village shops close by.
There are plenty of things to do in the area or if you want to nothing at all, again this is the perfect place to just put your feet up and relax on the veranda, read a book or just watch the world go by. I can highly recommend this holiday destination and can't wait to get back there, it was everything we were expecting and more.
