Booked our holiday with Keycamp for June 2008. Travelled with my partner and 8yr old boy. Arrived on site at 3.10pm and our mobile was not ready. We had been travelling since 4 am from Ireland. Tired and hot we went to restaurant to wait and returned an hour later and mobile still not ready. We complained and asked for another mobile but was told none available. We eventually got our mobile at 5.30pm and the filth that met us was disgusting and it was ant infested. We complained but to no satisfaction and so we purchased a bottle of bleach and into scrubbing. After a week of keeping the place clean and buying ant repellent we managed to get the ant problem under control. La Baume itself was a good site especially the pools and slides which were a great hit with our boy and well life guarded. Shop was expensive and very unfriendly so thank God for the car. Restaurant and Take away very slow and not able to cope with the busy season and I would question health and safety ....flies landing on food and a dog roaming about the kitchen area. Where are their health inspectors? Overall we had a good holiday and enjoyed the Cote D"Azur and the weather but would not recommend Keycamp and if that standard remains it will eventually give the site a bad name.

We booked a family holiday to this...

We booked a family holiday to this resort on what the broucher and internet showed.
We paid for a villa grand deluxe with decking and bbq, but on our arrival was told that bbq's were not permitted due to fires being started, but people who owned their own caravan could have one. Our villa was a caravan which we had to clean before we moved into it, we are not house proud but it was not cleaned to a reasonable standard.
The decking was like two pallets, and the patio furniture was extremley dirty The electrics were like something out of the ark, for a Villa that they said was built in 2006 was so stupid, if you had the only heater on in the lounge (which the broucher states it has a fire) and you turnt on the microwave or tried to dry your hair, some one had to stand outside in the rain to keep switching the trip switch, Which i dont think is safe for any one. There was no entertainment and when we asked about it was told that they dont work weekends and that entertainment did not start until July & August.
There were no kids clubs and only one bar which was very expensive and small for the size of the site.
The nearest beach was 20 min car drive away which they broucher states 3km.
As there is only one shop on the site the prices were extortionate.
We chose this holiday has my husdand has cancer and we thought this would do him good, but after 3 full days and spending a shed load of money ie on basic things like food and juices we decided to cut our loses and return home. We took our daughter, son inlaw and granddaughter on this holiday for which they saved for a year, they can not afford another so it was very disappointing all round.
We will never do another keycamps holiday again and will not recommend it to any one.
