We have just come back from the Marmaris Beach Resort, we only paid £125.00 each for this hotel all inclusive, (excluding air fares). An basically we got more out of it than we paid for. It is not an English 5* rating because where can you get all inclusive for 7 nights... more

We stayed here from 11 May 2010 and we had a good holiday in all. We knew we weren't going to a 4 or 5 star based on the cheap price we paid - obviously you don't get something for nothing and the people who have whinged on here need to remember that next time they book... more

The hotel was disgusting. The only nice thing about it was the swimming pool. There was no snack bar through the day. All week for breakfast it was boiled eggs and salami sausage. It was miles from the town centre and the staff were quiet rude. The drinks were watered... more

ive just returned from this hotel, i was very unsure when ready the reviews but it wasnt as bad as was made out to be! you get what you pay for, we got a really cheap deal £269pp for 1 week which i feel is fantastic value for money and its what you make it. Yes the hotel has many steps to get to all areas within property but unless you have walking diffulties its not as bad as it seems! lost 5 pounds walking up and down so have to look on the positive side! the pool area is lovely with backdrop of the bay, always soemthing happening... more
Litera Marmaris Delux from handyside
Well we had 2 wks at the Litera and hat an experience! The so called villas were built on a cliff side with steep inclines and hundreds of stairs. Our room was not cleaned throughout our stay and we had to ask for toilet oll and clean towels constantly. The entertainment consisted of bingo and kareoke! The food was luke warm and got even worse the 2nd week when a good number of the chefs walked out! On the up side, they ran a free shuttle to iclemer which was a real bonus. We have just come back from 2 weeks and had a billiant time. We had a really nice room which was cleaned every day which had great views of the bay but 120 steps to it so had work if elderly or got children. Some friends of us however got disgusting rooms with damp up the walls and were changed rooms a few times. Alot of other people winged about their rooms too. Our hair dryer did stop working but complained to reception and was replaced within the day. Be wanred you have to pay 30 lira depoist on arrival and £15 if want a safety... more

Just come back from a weeks stay at the Litera Marmaris Delux Hotel. On arrival (7p.m) we were welcomed with a cosy looking reception, reception staff not brilliant at English but there English is better than our turkish! Clearly stated (in English) on wall that a 30lira deposit had to be paid which was refundable on check out (this came in handy at the extremely overpriced Dalaman airport). Also 15english pounds for safe and 25english pounds for air conditioning. I would advise paying for the safe as although it was not secured... more

We have just arrived back from the hotel after a one week stay in the May half term holidays. We booked through Goldtrail who advertise the property as 5 Suns, I would rate the hotel around a 3*. Good features. Stunning location away from the hustle and bustle but easy enough to go into Marmaris if you want to. The food was mostly good with plenty of choice. The 5 SUN !! ( that's ridiculous ) Marmaris DELUXE. Beware ....this hotel is not a place to experience a "deluxe" holiday....more like FAWLTY TOWERS but without the jokes. The rooms are very small and VERY basic. Our 1st room had dirty, stained bedding. The room smelt musty and had not been cleaned since the last occupant. The 2nd room was no better. this hotel is rated at 5 suns by gold trail travel, it clearly is not we stayed in the blue bays deluxe hotel in marmaris last year and that was excellent. this place however was not, its dirty and set away from marmaris with nothig else around it. the bedrooms are very small and the bathroom is a joke i had to bend the shower door ove the toilet bowl in order to get in it. when we pulled back the top sheet we found blood and other bodily fluids on the sheets. the reception staff and the rep were not to helpfull either they moved to another... more

Returned from Litera Marmaris Delux on Friday 9th May. It was our first time in Turkey and we loved the country. As for the Marmaris Delux… - The VIEWS are amazing. As each “bungalow” is built up a hill every balcony has a wonderful view of the bay through the pine trees. - The food, albeit luke warm, was plentiful with a wide variety of choice (except if you are vegetarian!) - The pool area is clean with a large amount of cushioned sun-beds. this is listed as a 5 suns it is really a 2/3 stars be warned there are hundreds of stairs and i mean hundreds the hotel is built on the side of a cliff if you have any problems walking this is not for you its also not good for baby buggies. but i had a great holiday the staff are really nice and the food was good. there is not a beach as in beautiful white sands there is a strip of 'something' with sun loungers but the scenery is breath taking. its about a £8 cab ride from marmaris. i paid £199 for a weeks A.I. there are no shops at all... more
