" Fantastic Thlassa "

We had a great time here. We travelled with 2 teenagers and there was enough to keep them occupied for 2 weeks. On arrival at the hotel we were given cards to fill in in the reception and then had to wait for a porter to take us to our bungalow. It was fairly hot and there was a lot of people waiting, so we decided to take ourselves off and find it. DO NOT WALK ACROSS THE GRASS. By the time we took a few shortcuts to were we wanted to go, we were covered in spiky balls which are a nightmare to try and get off your clothes. Bungalow was great, a nice big bathroom and plenty of storage for the four of us. Was cleaned every day, with fresh towels as and when you needed them. Indoor pool was great for the cooler days, outdoor pool was lovely but freezing. Great selection of food, infact I have been to many hotels on an all inc basis, but never had as much choice as this one. Food always fresh and hot. Entertainment a bit boring in the evening, although our kids seem to enjoy it. Reps were wonderful, especially anes and sammy. Bar staff always polite. All in all it wasn't a bad holiday at all.

Advice: Head for sousse or monastir, nothing in skanes

" Wonderful place "

I went last summer to Thalassa village along with my wife and two daughters and that was the most memorable holiday we ever had. It is a wonderful place. My daughters enjoyed the pool. My wife enjoyed the food. As for me I had a great time between the pool and the volley ball court in the morning and in the afternoon. It was great to meet many people from different countries who became regulars on the volleyball field. It was wonderful. Being Tunisian this really makes me proud that my countrymen could offer such a service and such facilities. All members of staff were very kind, always smiling and forever willing to serve you in the best ways ever. To all of them I say THANK YOU and I hope I will go back this summer. Habib Souissi

" FANTASTIC A***** "

I cannot express enough what an amazing holiday we had. It was my 1st holiday abroad as a single parent. I was so worried before we went. However when we arrived I realised i need not worry, everyone was so friendly and helpful, the pools were safe and clean, and the beach was very safe and private. The rooms were very clean and air conditioned.
Do not hesitate to visit, you wont regret it. We just booked to go back in June, cant wait.

Advice: didnt leave the complex, didnt feel we needed to.

Activities: complex main restaurant had something for everyone, im a fussy vegetarian and I was always full.

" Thlassa Village "

We had a brilliant two weeks at Thlassa Village. The food was excellent, although we were let down badly by the restaurant waiters. The entertainment staff looked after us wonderfully. The bar staff did their best but there just wasn't enough of them to cope. The hotel was exceptionally clean and our maid was lovelly. The beach could have been raked over and cleaned a bit better, but the sea was shallow and warm with safe swimming areas marked out. The hotel is a 20 min taxi ride from anywhere, so be prepapred to pay to leave or stay and use the hotel's facilities - tennis, mini-golf, archery, pool games, etc.
The only real disappointment with the holiday was the trips organised by First Choice - they were definintly not as described in the leaflet and therefore became an expensive waste of time. I was also disappointed with the pedicure I received in the hotel Spa. Despite these few niggles, I would recommend this resort to anyone who just wants to lie by the pool and do nothing much for a couple of weeks.

" I totally agree with what has been... "

I totally agree with what has been said about Thalassa Village Skanes. My Husband, our 16 year old daughter,my Sister and myself spent two weeks there from 22nd June this year. We enjoyed it that much we have just booked to go there again next June for two weeks. This time our son daughter-in-law and grandson are coming with us.
We too went in taxis to Sousse and we were only charged 10 Dinar we then got a taxi to Port el kantoui from Sousse and was only charged 4 Dinar.
We thought the staff were brill, so helpful and friendly.
The animation team were fab, just a few of them were off handish with the English they prefered the Germans and the French.
We had some good laughs with, Makram, Fauzi and Elle.
Amir was just one of a kind, he was a real star

I for one wouldreccommend Thalassa Village to Everyone
Happy Holidays

" What a wonderful place. Wife booked... "

What a wonderful place. Wife booked the holiday for our honeymoon. we plus our 5yr old daughter loved the place. For adults there was the beach, pools, bars plus sports mini golf, archery and tennis. There was a kids club that ran every morning and afternoon which you could either leave your children there or stay and enjoy watching them in what ever activities were layed on that day.

In the early evenings there was always a kids disco which they where actively encouraged to join in but not forced to if they didn't want to which run until 8-30ish. Adult entertainment was excellent, most nights there was music or a show in the main open air bar plus in the main indoor bar most nights there was shows which where excellently performed and the singing was great to.

The only complaint i could find was the restaurant. The food was excellent but limited on variety, mainly chicken or fish. The sweets/puddings you may find yourself going back for seconds. If you want burger and chips, there is a small restaurant down near the beach but get there early, as it does get quite busy and you could end up waiting upto 30+ minutes for your food. There are 2 other restaurants on site but these must be booked a couple of days in advance.

The staff are continually ensuring that the place is clean and tidy from sun up, to sun down and your rooms are well looked after and cleaned.

There is a small shop on site. A gift/mini convenience, prices a little higher than local shops in monastir but you get that holidaying in England. The owner is a funny chap, who you can have a laugh and chat with if you so wish. if you wish to buy any of his items in the gift shop. especially jewellery, haggle.

What ever you do, take a trip by taxi to Sousse. Look around the bazaar, you will get pestered by the locals to buy from them but thats there way of life and can be fun. There is also a government department store, where you can buy leather bags, rugs and more, which are made in tunisia and are quality items. Watch out for street sellers that say that they know you from the hotel, they dont. as you are on an all enclusive holiday, they recognise the rist band you have on.

Would i go back, yes. its one of the most enjoyable and relaxing holidays i have ever had.

" My family and I went to Thlassa... "

My family and I went to Thlassa Village and we found it to be the best holiday we have had for a long time.
We had a late flight in but once through the airport and on the coach the transfer to the hotel was only 10 minutes, on arrival there was a form to fill in but we found that the restaurant was still open so we could eat and have time to fill in the arrival form.
All the staff were very pleasant and helpfull, once in our chalet( Thlassa village is not a hotel but chalet`s set around gardens) we found the accomodation clean and well laid out.
The food is well prepared and presented ( if you want an english breakfast you will have to settle for omlette or fried eggs) but hey try something different, the watiers are very good and will keep you suppiled with drinks at lunch and in the evening.
The whole complex is kept very clean with 3 pools (one heated indoor) the main bar in the entertainment room, 3 outdoor bars (one by the beach) a small games arcade, shop, tv room, internet acess in the reception area and 2 alternatine restaurants (that need to be pre booked) a night club (that is part of your all inclusive and open till 2am)
The entertainment team are wonderfull and work hard all day and night with games and sports during the day and entertaining shows at night (look for Amir he leads the team and is absolutly brilliant)

There is a seperate entertainment area for the very young children with its own small pool, slides and swings etc and a baby sitting service if you need it
The beach is clean and patrolled by the police on horseback to keep the traiders away there is also wind surfing and dingys part of your all inclusive

Try the first choice excursions we went on the bedouin feast, the camel trek and the trip to Monastir, port el cantouie and sousse they give you a feel of the tunisian culture and a look at some of the places you may want to visit for longer
If you want to go anyware you have to take a taxi 10 dinar for 4 to Monastir, 17 dinar for 4 to el cantouie remember to make sure you are paying for everyone not individuly
We found a mix of french, english, german and scottish! staying here dont be a snob mix in and have some fun.
We would recommend this hotel anyone go see enjoy.
