Recently stayed at the Old Manse for a few days and used it as a base for hill walking in the area. Situated at the end of the village just after the turn towards Strome, the Old Manse occupies an idyllic setting. Trevor and Fiona Jarvis are the hosts and within minutes of your arrival you will feel relaxed and very welcome. Good breakfast, lovely old house with a great collection of bric a brac, great surrounds and views, comfortable rooms and convivial people. Hope you like bird song as the daily chorus of Owls, Wood pigeons, Cuckoos, Ducks, never mind the common or garden stuff is deafening - I’m delighted to say!

In the evening, food can be obtained at a number of local hotels and restaurants in the village – but be aware they usually stop serving from around 21.00 hrs.
