We spent a flexible 4 days just before the Christmas rush at this recently refurbished hotel chalet and enjoyed some of the best quality chalet food I've ever had (for the price), with an excellent customer service ethos amongst all staff clearly well managed by super-chef... more

The chalet Bonjour Bonjour is located in the traditional Alpine vilage of Tignes les Brevieres in the Tignes / Val d'Isere ski resort. The chalet is a typical alpine chalet offering a great breakfast, great evening meal (with free wine) and afternoon tea. We had an easy... more

A reasonable chalet let down by poor service and management.
Our large group booked this chalet after reviewing the website. It was one of a few chalets in the area that could accommodate a group of our size. Although clean and modern the chalet did not meet our expectations. The communal areas were small and restricted. Rooms were varied - four adults in our group were allocated to a room that was cleary not suitable for more than two. Our main issue however was with the poor level of service and the quality of wine with our meals. Our two ski hosts were a saving grace.
Management response from skitlbHarrogate 28 Dec 2009

The party of 26 had been booked into the chalet by a party organiser who had collected all the money for the accommodation and had paid us for everyone. In addition to our normal very generous group discounts t he group had been given an additional large discount on the price of a quad room. However the group averaged out the cost of each bed and charged the same for each guest. The four guests, who the party organiser had allocated to the one room, subsequently complained during the week to us about the lack of space and asked our chalet manager for a discount. They were told by our manager that any pricing issues should be taken up by their party organiser as he thought that it should be the group leader to disclose to his friends that the room had already been discounted. The four guests were unhappy all week and were very unpleasant to our staff. We now recommend to all group leaders that it may not be equable to just average discounts across the whole group. The other issues raised by Wanderski are answered below and by all the other reviews. 1) Communal areas small We have a huge hallway, wide staircases and landings – much larger than most chalets. Dining room seats 47 - their party was 26 and there were only two other guests Sitting room seats 30 Terrace for hot tub is 650 square feet Huge hallway, wide staircases and landings – much larger than most chalets. 2) Variety of room sizes 4 bedded rooms all have a discount on the bed price and although there are space restrictions when compared to the twin rooms; guests have always found them adequate. Specific mention is made of any space restrictions in bedrooms on our web site in "room descriptions". A Room plan is also available. 3) Quality of wine Our red wine is an "appellation controlle" Minervois and our house wine is a carefully chosen "Vin du Pays" des Côtes du Tarn. The wine is included in the holiday price and is much superior to most chalet wines. This is our first complaint about the wine. 4) Poor level of service. We are very proud of our staff. They all work very hard. As can be seen from our many positive reviews, our staff are way above average and do a first class job serving our guests. The leader of this group has complimented us on the good service and management of the chalet and has expressed how pleased he was with the holiday.

Great Place
Great Quality Chalet, with fantastic staff. Though their web site didn't do them credit. Dinner was at 8pm which I felt was a little late as the village has nothing to do in it. But I believe it has changed to 7.30pm now. Would recommend as clean, friendly and very personal.
Great Catered Chalet in tTgnes
Stayed in the Chalet for a weeks skiing. Had a great time. Its 3 minutes easy walk from the slopes. The chalet is called Les Tilleuls at the moment but changing its name to the Chalet Bonjour Bonjour in April. I recomend it for any skiing holiday in Tignes. Located in the old village of Tignes Les Brevieres. Word of warning - great if you like a typical alpine village but not if you want to go clubing!
