Kupeli Hotel

The Kupeli hotel is within walking distance of all the major sites in Sultanahmet. The staff is among the friendliest I have seen anywhere. Everyone from the front desk staff to the housekeeping staff made sure we were made to feel welcome. The terrace (where breakfast is served daily) has a great view of the Sea of Marmara and the Blue Mosque. It is also open till midnight so guest can just relax there after a long day of sightseeing. My first few days at the Kupeli I was in one of the lower single rooms. While the room I was in was small, it was clean and quiet. After two days I moved to one of the upper suites. These suites are big and beautifully decorated. Our room had a view of the Sea of Marmara. All rooms whether suites or smaller single rooms are inpeccably clean and well maintained. Throughout my stay at the Kupeli the staff made sure that I was happy. I was also asked how my day went or if I needed anything. For a taste of Turkish hospitality and conveniance to Istanbul's major sites, the Kupeli can't be beat.
