Hotel Yllas Saaga

We stayed at the Hotel Yllas Saaga in Jan 2008, the hotel was lovely .... rooms good size, very clean, lovely pool saunas (the only put off if you are on the shy side and wanted a sauna you had to go in nude -swimming costume not allowed) steam room( the same rule applies as the sauna) jaccuzi and gym,the staff friendly our room was on the back of the hotel and had great views.If your room is on the front side cranes visible because of the new lifts but this will open in the next couple of weeks and to be honest was no big put off. Visited the SAAGA Hotel and found the room bright and comfortable with plenty of space and good balcony - views to the back of the hotel over the slopes. Pity there was no facilities to make hot drinks! The hotel was clean and bright, but not as described - the bar areas were small and more reception areas, the food very poor (particularly the evening meals) leaving the option to go without or visit the bistro by the ski school which provided much better food but only serving until 5pm. We stayed at the Saaga Resort over the Christmas period and our only real gripes about the hotel itself are concerning the extremely small bar areas, one being part of the reception area so it was more of a corridor, and the other inadequate for the amount of guests in the hotel / apartments. Visited saaga resort over Christmas.We had booked with Neilson withwhom we are in dispute over Huskie Trip-very very expensive.Booked two days before trip and were to be picked up at 9.30am as needed to get back for payed skiing lesson.It turned out they hadnt put us on th system so no transport arrived.After much twoing and froing a taxi was ordered and we set off.The huskie ride was very good,bit scary but we really didnt get our full time because of mix up-so beware!Rep at resort not very good have had a lot better-no real backup... more

We stayed at the Yllas Saaga hotel in the week before Christmas - one week - through Crystal holidays - and with family of 4 including two children of 5 and 7. Overall, the hotel is highly recommended. My husband has wanted to take our son to lapland since the day he was born!! We went last December when Ben was 5.We booked a 4 night package with Cosmos staying at the yllas saaga.It was fantastic from start to finish.
