Reviews of Landhaus Tyrol Hotel, Soll, Austria
Landhaus Tyrol Hotel, Soll
Set in a peaceful location overlooking the surrounding mountains and run by the Schernthanner Family, this is one of Söll’s most popular and well established hotels. Accommodation is either in the main building or in the annexe opposite. Both are traditionally decorated with excellent facilities.
The hotel is 5 minutes from the resort centre, ski lift, ski school meeting place and nursery slopes.

Have just got back from skiing in Soll and stayed at the Hotel Tyrol. We stayed in the annexe as we were a family with two children.
The staff here are very friendly and the service excellent at all times. Could not fault the quality of the food and children were looked after well. You are given the same table for the week and all the families were in the same area, which I suppose suits other guests better.
Our room in the annexe was nice, we had a huge balcony, and although some of the fittings were a little dated, it was still very pleasant. It was great to have such a huge bath with endless hot water after a days skiing.
The location of the hotel is a little out of the way, but only 5 mins walk to the centre, probably around 15 to the slopes although a ski bus comes by regularly.
The resort of Soll is really nice, quite small, but very good value for money, probably the best I have found out of all the ski resorts I have been to. We didn't have to queue once for lifts either, I don't know if it is always like this or if we went during a quiet week.
Thomson’s were not the best of tour operators, our rep was useless! and we had a ski instructor pick us up from the airport who couldn't speak English. We had to fathom out where to get passes and what was going on, the trips are a rip off so we didn't bother, someone we spoke to paid £60 for a 60 second bobsleigh. They also do a toboggan trip for about £20-25 each- don't bother, there is a fab toboggan run in the resort, 3km long and around £4 to hire a toboggan for the day.
