" the best snowboarding holiday ever! "

just wanted to write and give a massive recomendation for Chalet Elena and Bansko, Matt and Jenny at the Chalet were wonderful and our group can't wait to come back again next year!
The food that Jenny cooked everyday was amazing, the slopes were brilliant especially as it had snowed a metre of fresh snow on our first day! Would do and have recommended Bansko and Chalet Elena to anyone that will listen and really looking forward to going again next year.
Our group was a mixture of snowboarding levels from very good to beginners and the resort offered a really good mix of black, red and blue runs for all standards. The snowboarding school was also wonderful.
All of the services offered were unbeatable from the food to being picked up and dropped off at the slopes each day i can't say enough great things about the Chalet and all the people that helped make our trip so perfect.

Advice: perfect for any standard of snoboarder or ski

Activities: the scenery was beautiful

Good for: Ski

" Fantastic Chalet!!! "

Couldn't have asked for more from this Chalet! Food was superb, the unlimited beer & wine was a nice touch and the hosts couldn't do enough for us! Collection from the airport, and drove us to the ski lifts every morning. Also collected us from the pub from apres ski!
Didn't have to lift a finger all week, and all meal / pick up times were completely up to us, so if we fancied staying out later or coming back earlier - not a problem!
Great Chalet, great food, great hosts, great slopes!

Advice: Old town food/drink much cheaper (1/5 the price for beer!) and more traditional!

Activities: Old town

" Chalet Isabella "

Challet Isabella was pretty much perfect. Fantastic rooms (no dodgy bunk's or sofa beds)Everyone was really happy with how much space we had and for so little £ ! The chalet hosts were also brilliant, they really made us feel welcome and the food was spot on (thank you Andy & Sarah !) thanks also to Matt, nothing was too much trouble for this man.
I guess the best way to sum the place up is to ask myself would I go back? and the answer would be yes.

Advice: Great place for groups, big enough for a week but small enough to find everyone when its lunch

" We had an amazing time with Marty and... "

We had an amazing time with Marty and Victoria - they could not do enough for us! They drove us around, fed us the best food ever and took us out partying!
Even though I now need to go on a diet after all those courses I can't reccommend their chalet enough! Fantastic. Oh, and the skiing was pretty good too!

" We stayed at Chalet Isabella, a brand... "

We stayed at Chalet Isabella, a brand new ski chalet about 5 minutes walk from the town centre. The standard of accommodation, service, food and facilities honestly surpassed any chalet I have stayed in the French alps and only cost half of the price. It was run by a very helpful British couple who taxied us up direct to the pistes every day to avoid the gondola queue (we were there during a half term week and everyone I spoke to said that they didn't wait more than 30 minutes in the queue - so it didn't seem as bad as some people have suggested). Th skiing in the resort really surprised me - the lifts were all new and the pistes were long and wide. Would definetely recommend the chalet to kids - there is a games room and large garden that gave us lots of peace and quiet! The instructors they use were fantstic with the kids and very patient. Will be back for the hot tub next year!

However - BEWARE, the food and service in some of the restaurants on the piste can be terrible. We took packed lunches up in the end. The tavernas in the old cobbled town centre were much friendlier and cheaper. Also, there is a need for more deckchairs and more helpful ski lift attendants!
