I cannot believe T Pickard's comment. My wife and I stayed for four consecutive nights in November 2007 and we had no complaints whatsover. Our room at the front of the house was delightful, and both the room and the ensuite were spotlessly clean. We didn't see anything... more

The accommodation was appalling, the food and service dreadful. The rooms dirty and invested with cockroaches. I would not recommend anyone staying here unless they were desperate!!!!!

My recent trip to North Yorkshire was greatly enhanced by choosing to stay at Cawthorne House.
A warm welcome, splendid, spacious, spotless ensuite accommodation,together with a superb breakfast in the morning, all contributed to a most enjoyable stay.
I thoroughly recommend it.
