We have just returned from a last minute week at the Hotel Beau Soleil and enjoyed ourselves so much that we felt we had to share this. Our experience was really positive- the Hotel is positioned right by the slopes with ski hire within the hotel-very convenient. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The bar area is lovely with regular happy hours and was reasonably priced. Food was excellent and plenty of it- staff were very accomodating with requests. Our rooms were clean and comfortable- they were cleaned every day. Our bathroom was fine but fellow travellers described leaky shower trays so there may be a variation in rooms. Our towels were not changed during the week so this is an area which could be improved. There was a medium sized school party but we were not aware of their presence as they were fed separately and had separate entertainment. The duty managers were always around and made a point of chatting to us to make sure we were having a good time. Could not fault the holiday and will definitely go back.

Me, my mum and dad have just returned from 1 week away at the Beausoleil. We were met at Grenoble by the reps and although we were directed to the wrong bus we eventually arrived at the hotel at 11pm on Saturday. We were very tired and not expecting any food to be laid on due to the late hour but were very supprised to see that there was a cold buffet with plenty to go round.
The breakfast was the same all week,ie: french bread, butter, jam, ham and cheese and boiled eggs but this is what you get everywhere. The staff were very helpful and cheery at all times and if you wanted porridge they made it for you.
The hotel we found was the cheapest in the area to eat and drink at lunch times with the food ranging from baguettes to pannini's, burgers, soups and salad's. These were about 5-7 euros. Believe me the other restaurants around are very expensive.
The evening meel was usually soup to start with and a substantial main and desert for after, which were nice all through the week.
The chef has a Wednesday off so you have to go out for the evening. We opted for a cute little pizza place about 10 mins walk down the street where 3 lrg pizzas and beers was 40 euros.
Our room was ok. I have stayed in much much better rooms but I go for the skiing and not for the bedroom. We had a family room which had four beds in it. We were fortunate enough to have a balcony which looked out on to the front of the hotel. The view was fantastic. a 1 minute walk to the lift. The shower was fine although a word of warning. If you want a HOT shower make sure you get in in either at 7am or as soon as you get in from the slopes of it does get cold very quick.
All in all we had a fantastic time great weather and we has the only week at the hotel without any school kids. We met some lovely people too
When we were leaving they were expecting a total of 50 kids and 80 adults to accompany them. ( good luck )
I would recommend this hotel and

As has been said before, the best thing about the Beausoleil is that it has probably the best access for ski-in/ski-out in the entire resort. The hotel in general is good, my main criticism being the very small size of the bathrooms. Although the rooms we stayed in were small, they were perfectly adequate for our needs, and were cleaned regularly. After all, we came to ski, not to sit in the room all week! I would compliment the staff overall for their friendliness and helpfulness - any problems or additional requirements were dealt with promptly and efficiently. As is usual with hotels run by a single operator over the season, the quality of the catering will vary from year to year. However, we were quite impressed overall by the food - the range of dishes offered was of a high quality, and though a fairly basic selection was provided at breakfast (cereals, bread, croissants, ham, cheese, jam, fruit and yogurts, plus boiled eggs and porridge on alternate days), it was always plentiful. As there were no school parties staying in the hotel, the only comment I can say regarding noise levels is that the walls are quite thin, so be warned that if there were loud individuals or groups, this might be a potential problem. Overall, however, we found the hotel fully met our expectations.

We booked the Club Hotel Beausoleil for our school ski trip. Upon arrival we were fitted for our ski's and the staff were fantastic. We were then shown to our room which was terrible. The hotel staff were obviously not ready for us as the corridors were littered with dirty laundry from the previous occupants. I was shocked at the state of my bathroom as the shower curtin had mold all around the bottom of it. The tiles were all cracked and the room was in desperate need of repair. Ten of my female students were all sharing a room with two bathrooms, on the first evening one of my students took a shower and the bathroom completly flooded. This left 10 girls one bathroom for most of the week. During the week the electricity went in the other bathroom and the room smelt terribly and nothing was done about it until the 4th day. I was very dissapointed with the hotel especially as they portray it as their flagship hotel. The resort of Alpe D'Huez is fantastic and the reps from the hotel were amazing.

The ony good thing to say about this Hotel is that it is very well positioned, thats where it stops. We traveled out only to find that it is a schools hotel. Caters for in excess of 160 kids. We were not informed of this at the time of booking nor were any of the other 12 adults that had booked a week away skiing.
It was like living through a riot at night, kids running through the hotel at all hours, we were asked to leave the bar area to make way for things like quiz's and kids disco's and kareokee.
Rocket ski made no attempt to inform us that the were sending us into a bear pitt full of over excited children. They also suggest that this hotel is thier flag ship hotel. It must be said that it was more like a schools hostel.
I traveled as a youngster on the school ski trips, we were always accomodated as schools parties only. Rocket ski should addopt this rule, if only for the safty of the children the are accomodating

The food is not good at all,we took a party of school children, they all complained about the food. The lights don't work in some of the bathrooms, some of the children couldn't use their bathroom in the evening because there was no light. We asked to have it sorted out, but the lights went again and again, so we gave up in the end.
