Villa Andro

Having been to Cavtat four years ago and fallen in love with the place, we decided that a few nights there at the start of a touring holiday were a must. We were looking for accommodation close to restaurants, and Villa Andro couldn't be any closer! I don't think anywhere could give better value for money, as the location is perfect and the rooms clean and comfortable with great views over the nearby bay. We have just returned from one of the most enjoyable and relaxing holidays you could wish for providing all you desire is a peaceful time in a beautiful setting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Andro. The double room (we stayed on top floor) was very clean and spacious with good storage. Bathroom was separate (next door) but private. Room had a dressing table, with a mirror and a plug socket for hairdryer which makes a pleasant change to some hotels! Air conditioning was a godsend. The view from the window was out of this world. Cavtat should be at the top of your list for a nice town very close to Dubrovnik. You cannot beat the location, right next to the water in Cavtat, and close to nice peninsulas with beautiful walks and beaches. Cavtat has 1 main street, pedestrians only, about 50 meters long that connects to a small harbor and marina with crystal clear water and plenty of nice places for a swim. We booked a week at the Villa Andro after reading the reviews on this site and I have to say we were not disappointed. We had a lovely and very clean apartment with a balcony overlooking the sea, as well as air conditioned bedrooms, 2 bathrooms & kitchen. When staying at the Villa Andro you also have use of the beautiful (& shaded) garden as well as the sun terrace. Well done Andro, A wonderful welcome and a joy to be there. Great spot to stay. So close to the sea/beech, and right in the place where you would want to be.. Very easy to travel to Dubrovnik by Boat or Bus (12kn). The appartment was excellent,the view outstanding especially the Sun Sets. I shall be back and it is my first choice of accomation. This is a wonderful place to stay in Cavtat, being especially close to Dubrovnik. We booked the room by email to Villa Andro, using his personal website and by searching google. I had the pleasure to spend a week, both last October and now in April, at Villa Andro in Cavtat with some friends. Though the weather is a bit unstable in these two months, it was an unforgettable week. Villa Andro is situated right by the water, only a few steps from the restaurants, grocery, bakery, postoffice, bank etc. If you, for some reason, don't want to "climb the hill", this is the perfect place to stay. Cavtat is a jewel in Southern part of Croatian coast, just a short drive or boat ride from Dubrovnik. It has a unique geography with two finger like peninsulas and the old town right in the middle. The town center is a gorgeous old Dalmatian town with traditional stone houses and restaurants serving delicious local food.
