Welbeck Hotel
, BlackpoolWelbeck Hotel Reviews
Thank you very much for all the staff members who helped while our stay at Welbeck hotel.
Reasonable property, need bit of work doing, but very good value for money and fantastic service.
Room was reasonable, looked like newly painted and decorated with new tv, beds.
It is very easy to get to hotel, being on the promenade, staff were very helpful in getting our luggage to our room. Breakfast was cooked fresh and served on your table, which was nice touch. Made me feel special.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. It's dirty, smelly, I have flea bites all over my legs. The staff are rude. Shower and toilet dirty and smelled of wee. People were complaining all the time we were there. In the early hours of Sunday morning our room door was opened by a member of staff and a young lad entered our room. He was very drunk and could have done anything. The staff didn't care. It was a complete nightmare and not worth the money. Blackpool is the pits!!

I read various reviews about this hotel most of them were not complimentary.
Please consider this a frank and honest review in my opinion.
POSITIVES:
1) Clean - Hotel is clean and tidy
2) Price - Cheap rates
NEGATIVES
1) No shower - had to make do with a bath
2) No Towels or toilet roll - Had to go back to reception and ask for them
SUMMARY
You pay for what you get. Budget accommodation for a budget price. If i am completely honest i doubt i will ever stay here again however do not let that put you off. If you are after cheap clean no frills accommodation then that is exactly what this hotel has to offer

Dirty , grotty little dive ,extremly rude management .
we were shown 4 rooms they got dirtier as they went along, pubic hairs in the bath, used sanitary towels in the bin, dirt in the sinks, damp up the walls .
complained to staff, the manager then turned up and asked why we were complaining so we explained and said we would like our deposit back, at this he started to shout, swearing with threatening behaviour , at one point i thought he was going to take a swing at one off us ,disgusting behaviour from a so called manager would not advise my worst enemy to stay at this establishment.
£35per night they are charging i would not pay £5

arriving at the hotel to 1 man behind reception, which is a bit dull and old looking, he then told us that we had 2 double rooms booked when actually we had booked a double and a twin, ok not a problem.. arriving in our room it smelt of poo, carpets were filthy but bedding LOOKED clean, only cold water in the sink, toilet seat was broken so toilet wasnt easily usable. left our things in the wardrobe and went out for the night, came back to the room still smelling of poo. there are dead flies stuck in the picture frames, one 1 toilet roll, towels well i wouldnt use them. bed very uncomfortable, took us a very long time to get to sleep as the smell was horrible. there was a bedside lamp in the room with the wires taped to the wall, window didnt shut properly.. the full horror happened the next morning when i went to make the bed to find a dry poo stain on the quilt cover rite near the top, turns out we had been using it all night to our disgust looks like that is where the smell was coming from.
i would never ever recommend this hotel its disgusting, and for its money they are just robbing from customers.

well where do i start we booked through a booking agent , the money was taken right away , we arrived at the hotel having booked a triple room only to be told we was only booked in for a double . when we finally got a room we got to the room via lots of stairs the room was warm and clean thats about it . window seal was missing we had a gail force wind blowing through the window seal . Our bed was like sleeping on a board , the one wardrobe had a handle missing .ceiling tiles in the bathroom had a very bad water stain on them and one was coming down , i soon discovered why when i was sat on the loo and the upstairs ocupants were having a shower only for it to come through the tiles and soak me . NOT GOOD AT ALL . the hotel was cheap , yes we got what we paid for but surely hotels should come up to a certain standard and this fell short by a long way in my opinion . To be honest it was more laughable , we was always looking out for something stupid or comical to happen in the room . The lift was like something out of the black country museum , all we needed was Basil Fawlty to appear and the hotel would have been well equipped . The hotel owners are obviously more interested in money rather than customer satisfaction . No telly in the room as advertised on the hotel page . Staff could hardly speak english . wake up calls were available , this was someone banging on the door saying HELLO MATEY LOL. This made us laugh . If u want a comedy show then this hotel is for you .No draught beer available only cans at 2.80 a can , no glass offered, at least Dick Turpin wore a mask when he robbed people. GUARANTEED WE WILL NOT BE BACK . Overall pretty awful .

a decent attitude could go a long way here, sadly the staff/owners seem to have no interest in their clientele apart from the fact that they want your money, it is overpriced and lacks service, lots of things do not work, lights/electrics/tvs, much of the decor is poorly finished especially bathrooms, furniture has been jammed into rooms with no forethought, if all you want is a bed for the night, this hotel could be for you, if you book in advance and just want to walk through the door and check in on your arrival, get your keys and get into your room you are in for a shock, most reviews of this hotel are made up with a bunch of four letter words of a very derogatory nature, they are not wholey inaccurate.

It was horrid from as soon as we walked in.
Every time they flushed the toilet above us it leaked in to our bathroom.
The whole hotel sank !!!!
My friend tried to use one of the plugs and the socket fell off the wall as it was only stuck on with sticky tape.
Everyone woke and could not stop scraching and were coved in bites from the bedding !!!!

ok so its not 5 star but it does not claim to be. we found it to be light airy and clean. the receptionist certainly does speak english if you take the time to listen he just has a strong accent but understood myself and my daughter clearly. our room was clean and fresh as was the on suite bathroom. we had a flat screen tv and tea and coffee making facilitys. the rooms were basic but what can you expect for £30 for 2 people. the only part i would say seemed run down was the carpeting, it was clean but a little worn, not surprising when you consider that this hotel is one of very few who accepts dogs, why would they spend a fortune upgrading the carpeting when theres mucky sandy paws coming and going. I think this hotel is a bargain for the price, if you want 5 star then pay for it, if you want basic cheap and chearfull then book the welbeck. and visit blackpool zoo if you get the time, its only 10 minutes away from the hotel and well worth a day out
- Advice: never claimed to be a five star hotel, a bargain for the price

stayed there for 3 weeks in november. Had a fantastic time. The hotel was not busy at all. So it was much to myself at least my floor. There was no noise.
I went to have a peaceful time away from my family. That is what I got at Welbeck Hotel.
My room was adequate and there was no issues with anything. It got tidy every day by staff and doors were open at anytime I come back.
Thank you to all staff and management of the Welbeck Hotel.
