The hotel is in extremely beautiful and silent, almost wild place. Huge deserts with oases, golf courses and beaches (together with related hotel Sheraton). Very big rooms with the big bathrooms. The friendly and helpful personnel. (except German management of SPA - my wife have rudely interrogated about a pyjamas after Thai massage. As though she has stolen it. I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The hotel architecture itself is lovely . The golfcourse is great and the pool area is very nice and peaceful. The housereef near the hotel is beautiful and not overcrowded. Rooms are spacious and very clean; the food has been tasty, well prepared and various. Staff is very well trained and always friendly and helpful. I can highly recommend this place if you search a really relaxing calm and luxurious holiday far away from the mainstream tourism area in Hurghada. I will definetly return to this oasis... more

This hotel is superb! They pulled out all the stops for a great Christmas, even having a Santa giving every guest a stocking (even if he did have a black beard instead of a white one!) The food was great and the staff helpful but not instrusive. The only niggle was the weather - it was the coldest December for years apparently. Fortunately the hotel facilities, spa etc more than made up for that. We are planning to go back for Easter - I wonder if there will be an Easter egg hunt?

We stayed here for a week with our young child. We found the hotel a cut above the vast majority of holiday 5 star resorts. The rooms were spacious and quiet, breakfasts good, staff extremely friendly (and child friendly) and the pool area lovely. And we were there over Christmas/New Years when the hotel was bursting: if there were cracks, this would have been when they showed. Just returned after a week long stay at this so called member of the "Leading hotels". Do not get taken in by the other excellent reviews. The rooms are very basic. The TV is not flat screen, the balcony is tiny with the most uncomfortable chairs. The Hotel staff are sent at 11.30pm to deliver a message. We stayed this October at the Cascades. It's a wonderful hotel with good service and good food. The rooms are very clean and nice. All the hotel amenties and services are 5*, definitely. The pool area is very cozy and quiet. To go to the beach, you need to take a shuttle (every 30 min) to the nearby Sheraton hotel. The spa area in the hotel is out of this world. It's perfect.

Don't go to this hotel. Food terrible. Not sure where to start but if you choose this as your hotel regardless of how nice the building it is important you know there is a problem here with stomach upsets. Everyone I spoke suffered the same symptoms but the question is not whether you get it but when you do how long you will suffer with it. Rooms are to small. Balcony either. Go to the Four Seasons in Sharm el Sheikh. This is really a 5 star hotel.

We spent Easter at the Residences des Cascades in Soma Bay. The hotel is excellent - the service was first class particularly the lady in guest relations who organised our trip to Cairo and changed our flights back to the UK as we extended our stay. Absolutely outstanding in every way. We have travelled the world and stayed in some pretty amazing hotels, I can honestly say this is the best ever.The setting, staff, food, service and immaculate cleanliness of the hotel and spa were unbeatable.Attention to detail and guest comfort/satisfaction were seond to none. We, without doubt recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to relax, be pampered and get a suntan. We have already rebooked and cannot wait to return.
