Impressive
from moth123
Spent last weekend there and was completely impressed with the property. It is built on a very generous scale and this extends right from the lobby, bar and restauarants upto the rooms. Service is very enthusiastic but it could be said that it is somewhat affected by the fact that these are new staff in a new hotel. Having stayed at several of the other properties in Hua Hin several times, we will have no hesitation in coming back here
great place

New Hotel. The rooms are well sized and very modern. Beautiful setting. Had Lagoon view room. Must be the biggest pool in Hua Hin. Breakfast was great. Service need to improve.
Wonderful Sheraton Hua Hin
from passiontravel9
Excellent Hotel ,in every which way, this was a new hotel so was expecting some glitches but to our surprise none at all in fact surpassed all our expectations. The rooms were very well appointed and the food on the premises was superb. One of the best spa experiences i have had anywhere in the world. The massage at the spa was just superb, very professional and really nice. The brekfasts in the morning were very good and the general service all over the hotel was excellent and very very professional.hope to return here soon and would urge anyone going to hua hin to think of the sheraton.
Good new choice for families & esp. short trips
from StyleTraveller
We just stayed at the new Sheraton for the weekend and overall had a good time. They still have some interesting opening packages available although Sheraton's website does not make these too obvious. We booked through Travelocity.com and got a rate of 6,100 Baht per night (about $200) with breakfast and a 2,000 Baht Food & Beverage credit. Keep in mind just under 20% extra charges, fees, etc. on top of non-inclusive rates. The drive from Bangkok took about three hours due to some construction and resulting traffic jams on some of the roads. There was some confusion and delay at check-in despite being a Gold member and three pre-trip requests via Travelocity, the hotel directly and the Starwood Gold desk for certain rooms configurations. There are various rooms available but they basically fall into five categories in terms of location/view: Outward facing ("blocks" 1-4 face a small local road, 5-8 face a new villa project - choose 5-8 since it is quieter and there is currently no construction in the adjacent project) 1. With no view on the ground floor (with or without terrace). 2. Second floor (there are only two floors which is nice since it keeps the buildings low) rooms which have some view but nothing spectacular (you can't see the water since the views are sideways) Inward facing (which gives nicer views over the pretty center of the property) 1. Ground floor rooms have direct access from the room terrace to the enormous pool which flows through the whole property. Some of these rooms have clear plastic barriers which are important if you have kids and need to avoid the risk of them falling in the pool!) 2. Second floor rooms have nice views of the pool & garden of the hotel Ocean facing (there are only 16: 4108-4111, 4208-4211 & 8108-8111, 8208-82114) 1. Ground floor rooms have little if any view of the water since they are too low. They do have the closest access to the beach possible though. 2. Second floor rooms The only eight rooms with an ocean view Buildings are numbered 1-8 with 4 and 8 closest to the beach. Building 4 backs up to the Beach Bar so I would choose building 8 if possible. It seemed about half the rooms were Starwood Preferred Guest rooms although I am not sure which benefits these hold. The great thing about the hotel being new is that all rooms are very nice, good size with modern bathrooms including showers and bathtubs (although they are not full length unfortunately). Beds are very comfortable, good choice of TV channel, internet (incl. wireless), flat screen TVs, etc.). Public areas are spotless and have "clean design" which while perfectly functional and quite pretty does make it feel a bit cold and impersonal at times. Good restaurants with reasonable cost and pretty good food. Some nice lounge cabanas for 4-6 people near the central pool bar. Breakfast is very good with inside/outside seating options and good choice of food. The (free) Kids Club is a major plus for parents and open from 9h to 17h. They take kids from 1-14 with everything from outside playground and wading pool to inside activities including three free internet computers, Playstation, etc.. Staff is extremely friendly and our three kids really enjoyed it. Great opportunity to avoid the mid day heat by having them spend some time inside. The beach is typical Hua Hin, not much of one there when the tide is in and therefore no beach chairs on the beach itself but rather on a nice large grass area just above it. The pool is fantastic and takes more than ten minutes to make it around the whole thing, great kids pool too. Overall a great place for esp. a family weekend/vacation. The night market and harbor areas with shops, entertainment, etc. is about 10-15 minutes away. Free shuttles exist at certain times and outside those personal Mercedes transfer is 400 Baht (about $13), probably half with local transportation. There is nothing to do directly outside the hotel which is on a busy street (although it is about 400 meters/yards away and therefore does not disturb). Great gym with decent machines and table tennis. We will go back when we are looking for a quick weekend away from Bangkok. For me it is on par with the Hyatt and Anantara (which is probably a bit nicer, esp. when not booking the most basic room category). Service will probably get a bit better as the hotel settles down although staff is already very friendly and great with kids.
Wonderful stay, most beautiful hotel, I ever stayed !!!
from JulienF
I stayed 4 nights in October at the Sheraton Hua Hin and wowowow, I really enjoyed it !!! The hotel is new, so beautiful !!!! The rooms are nice & large, the swimming pool is so big & so pleasant for relaxing. I was feeling on vacations there, really. The beach is in front, the hotel has a shuttle to go to Hua Hin, the food at the restaurant was delicious. It was the best Sheraton, I ever stayed in !!! If I return to Hua Hin, I will for sure return to the Sheraton Hua Hin.
Pure Magical
from PhoebeTasmania
My partner and I recently stayed at the new Sheraton Hua Hin and we were not disappointed. We spent 3 weeks in Thailand visiting Bangkok and also Koh Samui. As I booked our holiday in early Jan 07 I still hadnt decided on Hua Hin. I looked at the Hilton, Sofital and the Evasons but nothing took my fancy. I have stayed in several Sheraton resorts in the past but as it hadnt opened there were no reviews to look at. I was extremely glad of my choice from the time we arrived. We had a Lagoon Access Room and it was stunning.Everything about this resort was complete luxury and indulgence. The staff were friendly, helpful in all areas. Even tho we were about a 20 minute shuttle bus(50 Baht each 1 way) from Hua Hin town it was away from the main resorts and on a lovely beach overlooking the Gulf Of Siam. The restaurants were all of a high standard and the breakfast you couldnt fault. Even tho there were a few little things forgotton it was only teeting problems for only being open 8 weeks. Well done Sheraton, you wont be disappointed by staying here.

we stayed 5 weeks after it opened. great pool agree! beach well kept as well, not so busy there as in down town hua hin, more space, which we like! The standard room was excellent, large and comfortable. restaurants delivered good service and food was tasty this resort just open and need ofcourse time to grow, thats normal, so all outelts are not ready yet, but we understood from mngm soon to be we stayed and enjoyed even though it was a new resort, with the challenges that always have who raise any new born baby without challenges? thanks sheraton for coming to cha am!
What a Spa and good golf
from 9out10
We wanted to get away for a relaxing time and someone suggested Hua Hin. Hadn't been there before but thought we would try out the new Sheraton. Must say that it has one of the best Spas I have been to, my husband played golf and the Kids used the Hotels special kids club while I just chilled out and enjoyed the treatments. Sounds too good to be true, well i normally wouldn't bother to write about it but after spending 5 days in Hua Hin I'll be back. The Sheraton was great to, biggest pool I have ever seen, food was Ok and the service very good. We have put it in the Calander for another trip next year and will book the Sheraton again. OK, HOTEL poor service and diner
from josephberlin
Firstly i stay the first opening day. And hotel not really ready. Pool are nice but water need to be treatment. Dirty pool by front of beach due to poor water supply and taking care. Try dinning in hotel rest. And not so many choice as first day. (i went back there two weeks after still not many choice as before.) Food well present but tasteless. Greeting from reception is quite nice but poor to service vip guest. Not many staff that look well presenting. Lobby look great ! Room are fair but not worth the money. Overall are simple and not special as sheraton pattaya
Great pool
from ipaytostay
I stayed here Sep 1-3, two weeks after it opened. On the plus side, it has maybe the best hotel pool I've ever enjoyed. A "lagoon" snakes around the property for maybe 600+ metres. The lagoon is mostly only about 3m wide, but there are standard sized pools at two ends to enjoy. We spent most of our time in the pool (the beach had a jellyfish alert). The standard room we had was excellent and just seconds from the water. The room was large and comfortable with a huge bathroom. The room premium charged for immediate poolside access seemed bad value. As the hotel only just opened, the number and quality of the restaurants and shops was not great as they are still being built or lie vacant. There is a 5pm and 6pm shuttle, 20min, to Hua Hin (100B pp return) returning 9pm. There were some niggly problems that you could expect from a new place like the TV system being awkward to use and unresponsive but these should be solved in short time. Without the pool it would be just another nice hotel, but the long pool makes it an excellent choice for your stay in Hua Hin.

This is supposed to be a de-luxe hotel, but the only de-luxe things about it are the prices of restaurant meals. Buffet meal for 2 with wine £100, 2 small beers by the pool £10. There are no prices posted anywhere in this hotel about the cost of food - until the bill... more
