We went to Hotel Postwirt in February 2008 and for a ski holiday and were very impressed with its location, rooms, half board food and the hotel in general. The rooms were large with everything one would possibly need for a one week stay. The hotel is located about a 5-7 minute walk from the garage where we rented our ski gear. There is then a bus up to the main gondola which takes approx 2 minutes.
We weren't sure whether the food for half board basis would be nice - sometimes they just slop out any old thing but we were very pleasently surprised. The buffet breakfast was absolutely gorgeous and was plentiful. There was a large array of different breads, cheeses, hams, hot food, fruit, yoghurt, sald - you name it they had it! The evening meals were really tasty and again, there was so much food - we were always stuffed. We ate there every night bar one when we went out.
The bar in the hotel is also quite pleasant, quiet and relaxing as opposed to wild however one night they did have live music and that was great fun. The Hotel pool and massage area is also a delightful treat - the pool was just so relaxing after a hard days ski.
All in all i could not fault the Postwirt. I would highly recommend it to anyone staying in Soll and will definitely go back there when we return to Soll.

This hotel is excellent apart from the room, 401, this is a miniture room which doesn't even have storage room for your cases as well as no room to walk aroun the bed, so dissappointing after paying the same price as everyone else and after askin gto get moved weren't accomodated. food lovely as well as staff just make sure you don't get room 401!!!

Loved this hotel. The food was excellent. A salad course from a buffet was on offer each night, then soup, main course and sweet. The amount of vegetables is higher than normal for Austria.
Super base to travel to other cities - e.g. Innsbruck, Satltzburg, Kufstein, Kirchberg.
Hand local Spar shop.
Rooms comfortable. They vary, some have baths with showers and others only shower cubicles. There are also some super de- luxe suites - massive and with lights all over the bathroom ceiling. Standard of cleanliness was excellent, and we had a treat each day to see what shape the quilts were folded in - cornets , hearts, envelopes - really imaginative.
Would definitely go again

My wife and me went to the Postwirt for New year, and I have to say that it was an absolutely fabulous place with fantastic food and very friendly staff. It was our first time at that particular hotel, though it was our third time in Soll and I am sure that we will go back there some time in the future (I think it would be great in Summer).
The skiing is absolutely great in the Skiwelt, but my only thoughts against going back to Soll are that there are considerably more central locations, such as Ellmau, that I think would probably be better from an exploring point of view, though the ski away days from the Hohe Salve are great anyway.
The only downside against the resort itself and I suppose the Postwirt too, is that if you get a room at the front of the building, it can get quite noisy at night with drunken revellers stumbling out of the Whisky Muhle. We are now unfortunately at that age when we are no longer the drunken revellers stumbling out of the Whiskey Muhle, so that comment is probably just envy.....
Overall, what a great place, can't wait to go back there!!

The Postwirt Hotel is the perfect place to enjoy a skiing holiday.
The rooms are well appointed, with excellent facilities. The food is top class and plentiful. The staff are helpful and enjoy their work.
The Hotel has both quiet lounges and lively bars so it is suitable for all. It has a pool and a sauna. It has a central location near to the shops and nightlife but is near the slopes too.
The ski bus stops outside but for the lazy, the hotel will book a taxi, which for a couple of euros each will take you to the lift in style.
Finally, it has great atmosphere being in part a very old coaching inn but with new rooms and facilities.
We have been going to the Postwirt for several years now and we all vote it the best hotel we have stayed in during 30 years of skiing.

We chose this hotel for the first ski holiday we ever went on, I search all broaches reading about every place and thought Soll was the most suitable for my family.
I was not disappointed one bit and have been back every year since 2004...this is our third year going, showing just how much we all like it.
The Postwirt itself is has a warm and friendly atmosphere, with everything you want for a ski holiday with a great outside pool, friendly bar and lovely staff who all work hard to help and make you feel at home.
The hotel is ideally situated right in the centre of town, with shops, bars and restaurants and lots of atmosphere. Its only minutes walk away from the slopes.

The Postwirt is in the centre of Soll and has great views of the church and mountains.
The staff are friendly, intelligent and very child orientated.
There is a free crčche for evenings and evenings until 8pm.
The food is diverse and plentiful. The bar is warm and welcoming, with free entertainment a few evenings a week.
All bedrooms are ensuite, light and airy. there are quite a few very large family rooms, which offer excellent value for money, as the hotel offers good discounts for children sharing with 2 adults.

I have been to this hotel for the last 8 years and cannot fault the hotel in any way. The staff who all speak very good English are always there to help in any way they can. The food in the restaurant is fabulous.
The hotel is ideally situated in the centre of the village and only 2 minutes from the bus stop, which takes you up to the slopes. There is entertainment in the hotel 2 or 3 times a week. The hotel offers all its guests a snack at 4pm everyday, so when you come off the slopes after a really good day on the slopes there is a hot snack waiting for you to set you up for your evening meal.
I have not got one bad thing that I can say about this hotel.
