Hawii Aparthotel Complex

We were a party of 6 adults staying all inclusive in this complex. The complex is very much aimed at families with young children, with a kids club and mini disco every day. Even the nightly entertainment is mainly for children, although we did see a very good flamenco group. The complex is a little tired looking but clean and the rooms are cleaned every day and the towels changed, if required. The sea views are fabulous and more than compensate for the rooms being a little basic, I would not have liked to cook for a family. The food was quite varied, with a meat and fish option every day and the choice was good. The staff were very efficient but not very friendly. The location of the hotel is excellent but is not suitable for anyone with mobility problems as there is quite a steep hill to it. Overall, I would return to this hotel and would recommend it to others

Will Stay Here Again

Can't believe some of the reviews I'm reading here. We've stayed at this hotel 2 years running and will be returning again next year. The food is good, good choice, something for everyone, we find the staff very friendly, but then we are friendly to them also. You do only get one all inclusive card per room, but there is only ever one bar open at a time so I can't see anyone's problem with this - you are not going to be at different bars at the same time. Kids are very well catered for, they love the kids club and the evening entertainment. Would recommend this hotel..the views of the bay are fantastic x

Went to Hotel Hawaii for 10 days in JUne 2010. I have 2 young kids (2 & 4) and we all had a good time. We had a superb balcony overlooking the bay about 5 floors up. (best balcony ever!) The hotel was fine, the evening kids disco was good and the meals were decent. We went all inclusive which was great as the kids had lots to eat and drink and we didn't spend as much as we thought because of it.
Great access to pool/beach and a classic position to sunbathe in. Each reach to a couple of beach bars which show all the football.
Rooms were fine, no probs. I would go back but i did hear bad stories from those who went to the apartments next door.
nb - i paid 10euros on the last night for my daughter to have her photo taken with a bird of prey in the showroom. They promised to post it but it never arrived!

A great hotel, guests are not...

Great hotel. Unhappy staff, they do long hours. Beds not comfy need replacing.Food great and plentiful. AI one drink per person, so if you want a beer with your whisky etc you have to re-queue! I am not a child, however you could just take your wife with you and get 2 drinks if she doesn`t want one anyway. Room safe is 24.50 Euros per week. Its not even electronic but a huge annoying key. Room keys are not electronic either. Staff are tired looking and Brit weary. Hotel needs modernising big time. Its requested that Gents wear long trousers and a shirt in restaurant for evening. Does anyone do it? How about a footie top and beach shorts with trainers...
Location is superb and if you show respect you get it back. Dont be chavish. They hate all that stuff. If you play ball with them etc.
Room views are great and you won`t go hungry for sure.
Cleaners really friendly. One found my lost MP3 player!!!!! That was very honest.
The AI thing doesn`t mean free everything like crisps chocolate and ice cream. Or as much beer as you wish. Yet you can eat as much as you want at dinner? What is a waste of what?

A party of 9 stayed at this hotel I am only speaking for myself .The location is perfect ,rooms were nothing special but clean .The idea of only 1 all inclusive pass per room is stupid as the roooms are for more than one person .My main complaint was the food it was poor 'badly presented' always cold never had a meal that did not have to be microwaved .The selection was very limited unless you liked salads and plastic ham. At the bar you could only get a small coke but you get get 2 (why)not sure but stupid. We had a tv that did not work either
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and for the price it was poor value for money.

The worst “hotel” in the world, EVER!

I booked this hotel for an 11-night all-inclusive stay over the Easter holidays with my wife, daughter aged 11 and son aged 15 months. We had booked the holiday independently and had read all the reviews of the hotel and they came out generally very good hence we booked to stay here.
As we arrived at the hotel we checked in at reception with out any problems and were then given out room key and were asked to pose for our photos so were could be given our all-inclusive pass, one card per family! As a previous reviewer states, what’s the use of one card when you have two or three people in your party that may want to use the card at different times and places!
As we entered the room we all thought what on earth had we booked and then we proceeded to the balcony and were greeted with a truly stunning view of the bay, we stayed in room number 133. Then we mustered up the courage to re-enter the room……………I would guess that the room has not be refurbished for at least 20 years, the fixtures and fitting are dated, worn out and broken and I would deem the cot that the hotel provided for my son as dangerous as the sliding side would not lock into the upper most position hence it keep sliding down as soon as my son lent on it. The TV in the room has two UK news channels but we didn’t come on holiday to watch TV. The decoration was in a terrible state the artex was pealing of the walls, there was mould on the ceiling and it was a room that you just did not want to spend any time in.
The all-inclusive option is useless; the food was garbage and the bar no better as it generally had one bar staff on to cater for an entire hotel! The poolside bar was not open and there was no snacks provided through out the day.
And now for the part of everyone been seriously ill: on the first day I came down with gastric flu that was very severe for 3 days. On day two my 11 year old daughter was violently sick for a whole day this cleared up the following day and return every other day of the holiday and I can not over exaggerate how ill she was which has only really cleared up now which is 16 days later. This I put down to her swimming in the hotel pool as no one else was ill. Day three my wife and son has suspected food poisoning and were sick for an entire night again I put this down to the hotel food as my daughter and I had not ate for a couple of days.
And then came the smell of raw sewage! Luckily we could not smell it in our room but the rest of the hotel absolutely reeked of it. This was the straw that broke the camels back; we went for a walk on the fourth morning and found another hotel, the Sol Cala Balnca that is excellent, and checked out of the hotel from hell!
I was told by two neighbouring bar owns that the hotel had a very strict policy with the all-inclusive guests because some of them would stand outside the hotel and invite strangers into the hotel and “buy” them discounted drinks with their all-inclusive card in exchange for cash! Do you really want to stay in a hotel with this type of cliental? I could go on forever but please believe me find another hotel to stay in.

Just got back from a week at this hotel + had a lovely time. Was just starting to pick up as we left which was a shame for the 2 kids but they enjoyed anyway. We went all inclusive which suited us brilliantly, although the food was a little too adventurous for the 11 year old + he mostly ate chips all week. Ask for a glass of wine at lunch/dinner + they give you the whole bottle! It was however sometimes a little difficult to get the waiters attention. Situated right in the heart of palmanova, nothing was too far away, lots of shops + bars close by with Magaluf literally a 5 min walk away. We went to the Golf Fantasia and the Pirates show which were both located within close walking distance + great fun for the kids, although Pirates was VERY expensive!
Would definitely stay here again, staff were friendly, rooms were clean + the view from the hotel awesome!! Just a shame the pool was so cold we nearly came away with pneumonia!! Two thumbs up though, fine holiday fun!!

Excellent Holiday, Excellent Hotel and Excellent Location!
went for a week at the end of June and throughly enjoyed outselves! the hotel is situated on a slight incline from the beach which is 2 mins down the road and there is shops and bars as far as the eye can see! only 5mins taxi or 10 mins walk to Magaluf if youre into clubbing.
Staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. You could wait a min or two for you drinks at night in the restaurant but this was just due to the sheer volume of people who like their tea at a certain time!
pool was a bit of a dissapointment - think postage stamp but when its only 2 mins walk down to the sandy beach who cares!
make sure you go to Pirates Adventure in Magaluf only cost 4 euros in taxi there. Take some dosh with you though because you can get your photo taken and it quite expensive to buy and souveniers from the venue.

Just returned from hotel hawaii palma nova, the GOOD points are ; fantastic location & the food is good & thats it, Now for the bad points
(1) Hotel Decor still in the 70s.
(2) The heating was not working.
(3) The entertainers were not very good.
(4) The hotel staff were miserable &grumpy.
At dinner & evening meal you have to wait for the slow waiter to fetch you drinks, 2 nights we waited 10 & 12 mins B4 we got our drinks, they know your waiting but they dont care. At the end of our stay we did'nt get a thankyou, or did you enjoy your stay ! NOTHING.A very POOR Hotel all round.ITS UP TO YOU!!

We arrived on the 15th October 2009 and wasnt sure what the hotel would be like after reading all the reviews. What we found was a lovely hotel with large well equiped rooms TV air con although we didnt need as the temp wasnt that great. Pool was freezing but out of season you expect that. Location was fantastic right on the beach. Food was amazing something for everyone. Local beer on the all inclusive was Mank!!!! So avoid the beer and go on local spirits. Entertainment was ok but started too late 22.00 the kids were ready for bed at that time. Theres a boat trip right outside the the Hotel a glass bottom boat (Avoid) cost us 40euros and say no fish at all.

We stayed at the Hawaii Mallorca Hotel for 4 nights on a short 5 day break at the end of June. Straight away we realised that the hotel was in a great convienent location for all activites, shops, bars, clubs and restaurants that PalmaNova has to offer. Although some nights perhaps the location was a bit too central and sometimes noisy. The staff at the reception were really helpful and friendly, and when our room safe broke, they sorted the problem right away. The rooms were a very good standard and fairly spacious for a 3 star hotel and were always kept clean. The hotel would suit all ages and did offer various entertainment activites. The pool area was lovely, and as it is right on the water gave fantastic views over the sea and across the resort of PalmaNova.
