My partner, I and out two children aged 8 and 5 stayed for two weeks at the Hotel Hawaii. Our first week we were full board and the second week we upgraded to All Inclusive as the drinks were expensive and this saved us a lot of money.

The hotel itself was in a prime location on the beach with two other beaches within walking distance. The pools were too small for a hotel this size and towels were placed on the sun beds before 8am every morning making it difficult to acquire one. The staff on reception were excellent as were the bar and waiter staff for our first week, but once we went all inclusive the bar staff were less pleasant.

The food was excellent with full English breakfast every day. The lunch and evening meal was also excellent with the choice of soup, salad, main course and sweet. Twice per week was a theme night including a carvery. The children especially enjoyed the soups and desserts.

The room we had was huge with a massive balcony overlooking the pools and sea. It was basic but very clean with air-conditioning which was a godsend.

There was plenty to do through the day with organised events with medals being won and presented in the evening.

The entertainment in the evening was poor but the kids loved the mini disco and bingo.

All in all we had a good holiday and would recommend the Hawaii to families who enjoy days by the pool or beach.

At 39 this was my first holiday in the sun. I was very impressed. The rooms were excellent, plenty of space for four, towels were changed every day and the aircon worked well.

Once you get used to the layout of the hotel it is easy to get about and the staff were all very helpful. The food was lovely with 3 adults and 4 children one of which was a vegetarian i thought we might want to eat out, but we never did, there was more than enough choice for all of us, and we never went hungry. the pool is a bit small for the hotel, but we knew this before we went and chose this hotel because it is right by the beach.

Palma Nova itself is a lovely resort , clean and tidy with plenty of shops and bars, also Magalluf is short walk away and also has a great beach. I would recommend this hotel but book hotel through bedbookers or med hotels, and book your flight yourself as we were paying the same for AI as others who booked packages were paying for HB.

Having just returned from this hotel, I am making the very first complaint in 20 years of going abroad for holidays.

The good points - Hotel very clean and reception staff excellent. The hotel is built on different levels, and can be a bit confusing as you have to go along the corridor, to another lift and go down 6 floors to the pool area. Plenty of sun beds. Once down there, you can walk all around Palma Nova bay as it is all on the flat. Something which I was appreciative of as I am registered disabled. By going out of the front of the hotel, it is very hilly, and the hotel has steps and a steep slope to walk down. NOT recommended

The bad points - The food is top of the list, if you like fish and chips you will love it here, as it was served up at the buffet EVERY day. Twice a day. Yes there was also meat but it was tasteless, so you plumped for the fish and chips as it had more flavour. We only had one meal of jacket potatoes, one meal of mash, and one meal of roast potatoes. The desserts are no better, if you like cake and jelly. Small one inch squares of cake, and jelly EVERY day. We had 4 meals straight off with vanilla Swiss roll, filled with chocolate cream, they then skipped 2 meals with this, but then dished it up again. The fruit was under-ripe and you could NOT cut in to a nectarine. The staff was very slow in clearing the tables in the dining room. There was one night which was advertised as a Majorcan evening of food, and guess what , ? still had fish and chips. The only Spanish food on that night was something that looked like ratatouille. In fact the Majorcan food was so scarce, that our neighbour did not notice a difference.

We were on an ALL INCLUSIVE basis, and the only snacks at the pool bar, were crisps and Ice cream, but you had to pay for the ice cream. The staff at this bar need training in customer care, as they were arrogant. You were NOT allowed to sit at the tables to read a paper, until the bar opened. I was told in no uncertain terms NOT to sit at the table, but to go over to the patio area, and sit on the wall until the bar opened. All I wanted to do was read my paper. Cups and ash trays are NOT allowed on the patio area, where fishing is allowed, as this is NOT under the jurisdiction of the hotel, and the public are allowed in this part of the hotel grounds.

The pool area, is not a place to be in the morning if you want a swim, as the pool is in the shade until the afternoon, so the water does not have chance to heat up. Children were complaining that it was too cold. Also the pool is not very big, considering the size of the hotel I can imagine it gets quite packed in the summer months.

NOT an hotel that I would go back to OR recommend.

We went to the Hawaii last year and really enjoyed it, it was a bargain, food was real good, drinks weren’t to bad entertainment was out of this world especially if you had children with you.

Rooms were very clean and basic just what you need for a nice brake away the resort is probably the best on the island if I should say so myself, we have a 4 year old son and he thoroughly enjoyed it in the Hawaii I would recommend it any day.

Hoping to go back now in July fingers crossed it wont be to late. 10/10

Just back from holiday in Magaluf, Palma. We had a great time but probably more to do with company rather than resort. We were told we were staying in torrenovo ... aka, almost downtown Magaluf! The apartments that we were in were fine eventually! initially we were in the lowest floored rooms, 3 levels below the pool- which smelt a little of damp when we went in but not too bad, however by day 3 pink mould had started to appear o the walls and the clothes in the cupboard were wet!... it took us a day or so to get moved - to the top floor where the views were better facilities better and room far larger! - Definitely worth asking to get moved if you not happy.

The resort itself is typical British, package hell- endless greasy eats and eastenders pubs etc!! Little hope of getting healthy food as everything comes with chips! The resort is really lively though and we found a couple of nice places to eat and a few friendly pubs. Try Robinson Crusoe’s on mag beach for nice food and chilled atmosphere, or the fish taverna on the prom behind torrenovo beach. And it has to be said... sad as it is that Paddy’s Irish pub is good for a laugh- and dodgy music at night!

If you are looking for a quick holiday and not expecting too much, Magaluf is lively and the beaches really are lovely and clean. Although would say try to stay in the Hawaii hotel rather than apartments as it seemed a different class altogether.

Me and my better half went for a week in the sun at this hotel - it was fab! The room was nice, always kept tidy. No problems with any staff or guests. Nice and quiet but only a 5 minute walk from the strip (Magallufs busiest spot). The view from our balcony was great and the air conditionings a god send. Lots of families here, I would be happy to go with the wee one, but would also be happy to go back for another clubbing holiday. Best of both worlds really! There was a good choice of food for brekkie but main meals were not quite so great. Also no free drink - not even water with main meal if half board - Stingy! Would definitely go back.

After reading all of the comments online, I was NOT expecting very much from these apartments. However, I was pleased to find on arrival that they were better than expectations. The room was standard but we hadn’t paid much so didn’t expect the Hilton.

What I must say is these apartments are in an excellent location. Situated right on the beach of Palma Nova and not far from Magaluf Beach. They are also very close to the main strip, good for all those late nights out, closest to Poco Loco's (for those of you who have been before).

Could get sunbeds even though we weren’t up until after dinnertime, which was surprising, and all in all we had a good time.

However, security was a bit of an issue, as we found our door to be slightly gaping at the top and although this was pointed out to the rep we weren’t moved, but we made sure we had a safety deposit box, and we arrived home with everything we had taken (Except the money spent on booze!!)

Views from this apartment and poolside were totally amazing. I’d definitely g back to these apartments if I could get a good deal!!!

This was the second time in two years that both my family and myself have visited the wonderful Hotel Hawaii, Palma Nova on the fabulous island of Majorca.

The Hotel Hawaii is part of a chain of Intertur Hotels based in Palma Nova and boats excellent food, drink & entertainment. Throughout the day there are various activities taking place including Panda Club for the U9's, Teen’s Club for the 9-15's and activities such as darts, shooting and table tennis for the adults, in the evening there is a disco, bingo and shows on in the lounge area which overlooks the beautiful Bay Of Palma.

The hotel itself is no more than five minutes from Palma Nova and Magalluf and no more than 30 minutes by car from Palma. There are beautiful beaches surrounding the hotel and fishermen are a regular sight as are boats from the nearby Port.

We visited towards the May and the weather was glorious reaching temperatures of 84 Fahrenheit.

There are many family orientated places to visit around the hotel including Aqualand and Western Water Parks, Marineland and Pirates a themed dinner show, all excellent value. I urge people to visit not just the Hotel Hawaii but Majorca, as it is truly an experience you’ll never forget!!!

The hotel was immaculate and the sea view rooms were large and the view was second to none.

The staff ranging from the maids to the reception were always friendly, polite and helpful speaking fluent English.

The daytime activities were good with the reps always trying to include everybody in the fun.

The pool area was clean with plenty of sun beds and chairs for all. The sea view from the pool area was amazing with the sea being just behind a Perspex screen.

There was a good selection of food at breakfast, dinner and evening meal catering for all tastes.

The location was perfect being on the border of both Palma Nova and Magaluf. The hotel is situated on the headland and is well out of the busy town centre, however, the pubs and clubs were a mere few minutes walk.

I would not hesitate to go again, in fact we have returned to the hotel on several occasions. I would recommend the hotel to both families and couples. A fantastic hotel for all to visit in a popular resort.
