Just come back from here yesterday had a problem when arrived as said was fully booked, but next day moved to main hotel and the view was lovely, and the food was good for 3 star. Pool was good and staff was friendly and we took our 5yr old girl and she loved it. Was right on beach and near shops, would mostly likely be back next year as this is our second time at Palma Nova we love the place.

The hotel is excellently situated for the night life in Magaluf without the bustle of being in the centre and although on quite a steep hill it did not present us with any problems. The view from the balcony was lovely and the beach is so close. Loved the glass panelling around the pool.
The staff were friendly and helpful at all times and the entertainment crew were lovely and we had a great time with them every night. The evening entertainment was varied and enjoyable.
The food was fantastic, and as a group of 13 - including small children and teenagers, there was always plenty to choose from and something for all of us.
The hotel was very clean, and the maids came in every day to make the beds and tidy up.
Booking with Sunshine.co.uk was easy and they were very helpful when we added an additional person to our party two days before departure. However, no transfers were included and we were not aware of this until we arrived in Majorca.
All in all an excellent hotel and would certainly go again.

The Hawaii is in a fantastic location with panoramic views across the bay of Palma Nova. It is hard to see how any rooms would not have a sea view.
Room cleaned daily. The staff all came across friendly although we did not have a great deal of contact with them throughout our 10 night stay (apart from ordering the odd drink from the bar). It is nice to sit and have a drink on the veranda overlooking the bay as the sun goes down/ after dinner.
Food was fine, fully cooked English breakfast daily and you could probably make 3 or 4 separate main courses up from the dinners, not to mention deserts.
Pool area is good as you can look out over the bay. Hotel entertainment staff come around to ask if you want to do some (free of charge) canoeing/ archery/ water polo etc every day.
The entertainment team seemed to be doing a great job in keeping anyone who wanted to join in busy. Night time shows appeared to be very good for kids/ families although mostly the all inclusive guests (as free drinks).
Location is spot on for a break where you just want to do very little yet have all home comforts on tap (televised sport, drinks, and other English holidaymakers) and a beautiful beach. Very lively nightlife is just a short walk away if you want, although far enough for you to ignore if this is not your thing!
All locals nice and relaxed, as the Spanish tend to be. Palma city well worth a visit by bus, taxi or even boat (Tuesdays).
Would definitely consider a return trip to get batteries recharged! A no-hassle hotel & resort.

When we arrived at the hotel we were told they were overbooked and we had to stay at another hotel, the 'Hotel Tobago' across the road from the Hotel Hawaii with no offer of compensation! Because we had gone all inclusive we were told that we could not use the facilities at the Tobago and we had to keep coming across the road every time we wanted something. Because me and my wife are disabled and the hotels are built on a hill this was not good at all.
There was no snacks in between the main meals and after 9 o'clock you could not get anything at all, when we complained about this the staff did not want to know. We spoke to a member of staff who said that the snacks in between the main meals and after nine o'clock was stopped three weeks ago. We found all the staff apart from the entertainment staff very arrogant and rude.
The hotel itself is very nice, very big rooms, very clean and for people with no disabilities it is in a very nice part of the resort. The food was okay but there was not a great variety and four days on the trot they actually ran out of puddings at 19-30 and 19-45, people complained but to no avail. The catering manager did not want to know and he called the security staff to deal with people who were complaining.
We found out later that some holiday makers were compensated for just having to stay away one night never mind two nights. I would safely say I will never stay in this hotel ever again and I have posted this to worn other holiday makers to beware of this hotel, the staff at the reception desk were sick and tired of people complaining and in the end they just ignored you or told you to go away.

A potentially fantastic hotel in a great location, I say this, giving the hotel a 6 out of 10 when it could easily earn a 10 out of 10-read on. The Hawaii Mallorca hotel is in Torrenova, 5 min walk to Palma Nova, and 2 min walk to Magaluf. The Hotel itself is in a great position, right on the edge of any noise from bars and clubs. It was very quiet, being mostly occupied by 99% families.
The positives.
The big plus' to this hotel are its location, views and evening and children’s entertainment.
The location could not be improved-quiet, on the edge of the beach and walking distance from all the main bars in Magaluf and a 5 min walk from Palma Nova, which has lots of restaurants and smaller bars than Magaluf. The evening entertainment was fantastic for both adults and children.
My 2 year old still loves "Panda" and the kiddie disco to this day!(Great Hotel for Kids!!!!!!) The staff are fantastic, friendly, and helpful both behind reception and the entertainment staff. The day time activities are excellent for both kids and adults.
This hotel screams potential. It has all the right elements for a family hotel apart from:
The negatives.
1. The hotel is in desperate need of full modernisation. It clearly has not been decorated since the early 1990s. All the walls are a beige artex and the banisters and toilets are a dark wood effect. The curtains in the downstairs bar area are a worn out orange and the furniture is dark brown and dated. Having said this all aspects of the hotel, including the rooms were very clean and had full free air conditioning.
2. The food was terrible. My wife and my 2 year old could only spare 4 nights in the restaurant out of 14. The eating area is best described as being a truckers cafe. I love truckers cafes (egg and bacon muffin with brown sauce!) but not when I’m on holiday. We ate out most evenings, there are lots to choose from in walking distance from the hotel. The food consisted of chips, pasta, rice, and veg with a few extras to glam it up.
3. My last concern was that the pool areas and children’s play area were fully exposed to the general public walking off the beach. You can walk from the pool area 50 yards past 4 food outlets which led straight onto the beach. Literally 50 yards from the hotel. People would walk from other hotels into our pool area and reserve the sun loungers and then walk off because the sun loungers on the beach are 9 Euros per day (per pair).
I saw this on several occasions after waking every morning at 7.30am to reserve the sun loungers (big rush after 8am). I had a big issue with having no security guard at the entrance from the beach. People from other hotels and the general public, would wonder straight through to the pool area thinking it was an extension of the beach walking path.
I saw them every day because the beach ends at the hotel pool area. This should be operated by a wrist band system, anyone not wearing one should be refused entry by the guard at the entrance to the pool area.
These are my three areas of improvement for the hotel.
The BIG question? Would I go to the Hawaii Hotel again?
Yes!
I would even pay more to stay there again if they would address my three points for improvement. This hotel could EASILY be the best in the resort. A 6/10 when it could easily get 10/10 for more effort.

A brilliant hotel in a great location, The Hawaii Mallorca hotel is in Torrenova, 3 min walk to Palma Nova and 5 min walk to Magaluf.
The hotel itself has standard and superior rooms, we started off in a standard room and upgraded to a premium room for E12 per adult per night and E6 per child per night. This room had mini bar and fridge, plasma t.v., tea & coffee making facilities, hairdryer and bathrobes and slippers. The view is awesome as you are overlooking the beach and sea.
The food in the hotel was both appetising and varied, i don't understand other reviewers complaints. The entertainment staff, Enrique, Xus, Angie & Marie were marvellous with kids and adults alike, with a varied programme of activities day and night. We went to Ruby Tuesday's on the third night and my kids begged to get back to the hotel as the mini disco and show were fantastic.
The barstaff were polite and friendly, especially, Javier and Sergio.
There is a games room with pool tables, darts, table tennis machines etc. In reception, there are pc's, which cost E1 for 10 mins on the internet. You can go down to the pool area and straight onto the beach also at the buffet area, there is a small wall overlooking the sea that people could fish in.
A lot of the complaints on reviews are about the hill, but if you come along the beach, straight into the pool area, you cut out the hill and can get a lift to your room or reception, also on arrival, don't come through the main gate, as there are steps to the door. If you go around the right hand side there is a slope, which is much easier with cases.
The glass bottom boat is a must do, you are taken around the island, some great sites and see the fish through the glass bottom.
If going to the waterparks, go to McDonalds first as you get money off vouchers in the kids meals.
I will be booking this hotel again next year and would rate it 10/10. I think some of the bad comments must be from those who pay 3 star prices and expect 5 star treatment. We were a party of 6, aged 60, 44, 41, 12, 11, and 7 and everyone had a brilliant time. Roll on next year.

Problems on arrival, rooms not allocated although holiday was booked 14 months ago (possibly agents fault). Not a good start, eventually got a room although not the FAMILY room we were expecting.
Food was very repetitive; hamburgers and chips day after day. There was other things but it seemed to be a mish mash; roast leg of lamb but no veg or gravy (saw gravy once in a fortnight). Plenty of desserts and fresh fruit but again same every day. Anyway that's the bad points.
The hotel itself was clean great location (not for elderly or infirm due to steep hill & steps). Pools are a bit small but we always managed, plus the sea is only 4 steps away. Sunbeds are taken by 8 o'clock so if you want a lazy day around the pool be prepared to get up early and get your towel on a bed.
The entertainment was really good and activities through the day were good to. All the hotel staff, bar staff and entertainment staff were really good and pleasant.

Stayed 1st week of school holidays. Hotel very clean, paid extra for a premium room sea view.
Food ok more or less the same everyday. Daughter enjoyed the kids club. Excellent position right on the beach.
Only negative thing about the hotel was the sunbed situation. I’ve never seen anything like it!
You had to be up for 7.30 to get a bed, certain people were piking 4 beds up at a time they had the same spot everyday, and if you, dare put your bed on their spot they would get aggressive. It was unbelievable but the beach is only 2 min's away.
Overall good quality 3 star hotel.

Overall I thought the hotel was nice, rooms were good and the location was perfect. Right by the beach and close to all the shops and bars. I also enjoyed the food although I eat a lot of fish and veg anyway.
If you are not used to this kind of diet all inclusive is perhaps to be avoided as this represented the majority of the food on offer. Also steer clear of the house wine which is pretty much disgusting!!
My biggest complaint would be the hotel staff whose moods seemed to change all the time and consequently some days they would be rude and other times okay.
The reception staff were always rude, you felt that you could never ask them anything, I don't think they smiled once!
But if you can ignore the rudeness then I would say it is definitely worth giving the hotel a chance.

Great location at the edge of Palma Nova and Magaluf. Best of both worlds depending on what you are looking for.
Fantastic sea views from my room. Food was Ok. Plenty of choice and chips every night if that’s your thing! Fresh fruit was always available which was a bit of a bonus.
Pool area was a bit of an issue. Beds are very close together and generally all had towels (no people) on them by 9am. Management didn’t seem too concerned and suggested removing them!
But with such a fantastic clean beach right on the doorstep I suggest giving it a miss. As for the resort... Palma Nova was lovely and relaxed and really clean, Magaluf was a different story, - filthy and seedy although the bar at Kathmandu provided an oasis (ask them for Sangria without sugar!)
Only downside was too many Brits but then it is Majorca!

We have just returned from a two week holiday. We were a party of 17 comprising 10 adults and 7 children ages from 3 to 13. The location and Hotel were ideal for us all. Plenty of sunbathing space around the two pools, although you had to be up early to get a sun bed. The pool bar was also handy serving both adults and children who were all inclusive with drinks and ice creams etc.
There was plenty of entertainment both day and night for children and adults, Enrique and his team deserve special mention for there enthusiasm, commitment and comedy throughout the day and the evening entertainment.
The beach was some two hundred yards from the private Hotel pool area thus making it very easy to commute from one to the other. The local bars (on the way to the beach) offered home type beers, the local beer becoming a bit stodgy after a while, and coverage of all the major sporting events.
The rooms were basic but very clean and totally adequate, being cleaned daily. The views across Palma Nova Bay were stunning.
Only slight moan was that the food was well cooked but a little repetitive and the restaurant on occasion was very full making it difficult to find a table at times.
As I have said the location and hotel were perfect, I would definitely go there again.

There are two Hawaii Hotels owned by the same company. One is a Hotel and the other is self catering apartments.
I stayed in the apartments with my partner and 6 year old son. We found the staff to be very pleasant, (some made more of an effort than others).
The view from our balcony was fantastic, but not all apartments are so lucky. The apartments are split, the main section is elevated and there are apartments below the elevation and above. Our room was kept clean, towels changed... etc.
There were two pools, which were both very good, with outside bar and light restaurant all on the same elevated level. For the money it was very good.
The only problem is the area close to it. Magaluf (Football bars) is closer than you think, and the people and the noise that come with that!! You might not get that at the hotel but a few nights sleep was disturbed due to people with no kids!
The beaches were good, you are on the right side, and Palma Nova was nice.
All and all for what we paid we had a good holiday.

I stayed at the Hawaii hotel in summer 2006 and it was great. The staff were nice and the hotel was lovely.
I thought that the hotel entertainment could have been a bit better but overall it was good.
The view from the room was brilliant, overlooking the sea and the rest of Palma Nova.
The food wasn’t very nice, I think this needs to be changed as it was the same every night and wasn’t very appetising.
The room was a bit basic but I was only there to sleep so that didn’t matter.
Overall I had a very nice stay and an excellent holiday.

I, my partner and my two year old son just got back from this hotel. Let’s just say I would not return again.
We stayed for seven nights all inclusive. I’m not really one to complain but this hotel just took the biscuit.
On the third day most of my little boys thing were ruined as work men replaced a window above our balcony without letting us know.
We had towels and swimsuits etc drying on the balcony as you do which was covered in dust and expanding foam from the window, when we asked for an explanation at the reception they were rude.
As for the food if you like boiled fish and boiled meat you will love it there as this is all they served every night, the all day snacks was made up of left over’s from lunch and dinner, cold boiled fish and cold chips.
There was no ice creams or anything like that for the little fella at all, maybe they do that through peak season I’m unsure but never the less we still paid for all inclusive.
The good bits are the location which was lovely a bit of a steep hill to access the hotel, but nice surroundings easy access to beach, Magaluf etc.
If you are going to Majorca on holiday I advise you go self-catering as there are loads of nice places to eat and really cheap.

The hotel hawaii was situated in a nice place, easy to get to locations from there however not good if you've been out for a meal and a drink, it is quite hilly!
There are several pools for you to cool down in after a hard day of sun bathing, each has a bar not far away and a place for you to get something to eat.
The only downside I found was that it wasn’t as clean as some other places I’ve visited, however the star rating of the hotel does reflect this, so I couldn’t be too disappointed, all in all, it was a pleasant stay.
