Whilst our room was a nice size and had cable tv, free wireless internet and big bathroom, it could have been cleaner! It felt like it hadn't been cleaned properly before the last guests had left, there were still old bottles of shampoo in the bathroom for example. The lifts were also a bit dodgy, and the lock on the backdoor leading to the rooms was broken. However, the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was just cereal or toast and juice. We only stayed overnight as we needed somewhere to sleep for the night and there wasn't really anywhere else to stay with vacancies within our budget. It was OK for the night, but I would recommend spending more if you were staying for any length of time and staying at a nicer hotel.

We stayed here on our way out of Yosemite, heading towards San Francisco. There was not much choice of places to stay, as it was quite late and we were tired so just had to stop somewhere for the night. Mariposa itself is a nice little town, and we had a lovely pizza takeaway. However, the hotel was not really up to the standard of the other chain motels we had stayed in on our trip. The room felt dirty and could have done with some redecoration! The staff were pleasant though, and the hotel was busy although there were no problems with noise, etc. Breakfast was pretty basic, just cereals, toast and juice. The breakfast area was quite cramped too.
