I stayed at the luxurious Hilton hotel Deandgate Manchester all i can say is WOW if you are ever visiting manchester you have to stay here!
We were lucky enought to be able to stay in an executive suite at £350 per night bed and breakfast with that we got full access to the leasure suite and also exculusive access to a bar upstairs with which you can get free drinks up till 7.pm and snacks its was lovley floor to ceiling windows over looking the city were amazing.
you can stay cheaper some websites do special deals the cheapest i have since seen was around £100 for a room.
after our 'free' drinks in the bar upstairs we then got priority entrance to the amazing evening bar on the top floor called cloud 23 this was the best night iv ever had the views and atmosphere were mind blowing although you have to watch how much you are being charged for dinks we had three rounds that came in at different prices!
the room we stayed in was pure luxury the bed was amazing iv never slept in a bed as comfy before watch the mini bar as its top rate prices and you will be charged if you decide you want to take home the dressing gown and slippers!!
overall this was the most amazing stay 5* stay in a 5* place

This is the first time I've ever took my precious time to write a review, but feel I need to share with the world the continuously poor service we got from the restaurant. Due to my wife's 30th birthday and a post wedding meal we took some friends to the Hilton Manchester hoping to have a few nice drinks some great food and superlative service. Not the outcome I'd hoped for.
We booked the table about a month in advance thinking we'd get a great table and no delays, however we did ask for a small favour of the hotel. Our table was booked for six people but we now needed an extra two at short notice, which the restaurant couldn't accommodate. So our friends had to eat elsewhere, not the end of the world, but a little irritating.
We arrived at the restaurant at 8 and was seated about 20 minutes later on what can on be a described as a 4 seater table, which we where told is deliberate to make meals more intimate. then we waited, and waited, bread arrived (cold bread that is),then we waited without drinks. So hungry we had to order more bread to keep us going (this time warm). We decided to order wine however the first 3 bottles we ordered had sold out, leaving the not great and the pretty expensive.
Over an hour had gone by and our starters hadn't arrived. Once our food finally arrived it was actually pretty good, but at the price this is surely what should be expected. We did complain between our starter and mains as the delay was really eating into our night and our friends had eaten and then returned! the delays continued.
Finally after a series of complaints about the speed of service we spoke to the restaurant manager who was argumentative, insincere and overly defensive. Her response to my comment " well every other restaurant can do it why cant you?" Was "We are not every other restaurant we are the Hilton."
In the end we were discounted 20% off the bill. And given a business card from a senior manager. By the time we'd got out, our friends had to leave and we missed our last train. The Hilton did offer to arrange a mini bus for £110 but a black cab cost us £50.
Don't waste you money, and more importantly, time! There are far better places to eat.
