Booked in fine without any problems - rooms were of a good standard and the breakfast next day was lovely. The only issue I had was that Southports Lord Street can get a bit noisy in the small hours when the nightclubs are kicking out and this disturbed my sleep. Either avoid the front rooms or don't go on a friday or Staurday if you're a light sleeper. Overall though I'd recommend this place if visiting Southport!

Total TOTAL RANCID hotel with RANCID staff and RANCID food.
We were charged approx £80.00 for a meal we ALL complained about. They said, 'Sorry you have to write in!!!!' Do you belive it, there was no 'how is your meal Sir?' We complained nicely then it turned into a big argument.
They would not offer us any thing else or a refund and as we had to pay before they gave us the food we could not get our money back.
The food was cold, uncooked and actually had a hair in one of the meals!
I suggest you go to the Royal Clifton, its beautiful, great service and lovely staff!
AVOID THIS HOTEL LIKE THE PLAGUE. On the main road and you can hear all the drunks singing from approx 10.30pm - 5am non stop.. we were there to play golf not listen to X factor rejects! Noise - bad food - awful rude staff.. how they are in business I dont know!
