" Our family of four spent four days in... "

Our family of four spent four days in Jan 2008 at the beautiful Jnane Leila Hotel in the southern Marrakech suburbs. We had been a little nervous about booking as we usually check out our holidays on hotel review websites and found only one review but we decided to have faith and go by the stunning pictures of the hotel complex. Our faith was rewarded as this place is a real gem. The lack of web reviews due to it being a fairly new facility and a mostly French clientele, though they speak great English.

The hotel consists of 12 Arabian Night themed rooms and suites around a central pool and tropical gardens. The whole was super clean, safe and a picturesque photo opportunity. Since the hotel is small we received excellent personal service and the management arranged our taxis and tour guides.

Being 10 minutes out of Marrakech at first seemed an inconvenience and left us reliant on taxis but by day two we appreciated being able to leave the full-on, colourful, noisy and bizarre experience which is Marrakech for our quiet complex where all you heard were the cocks crowing and the call to prayers from the minuet.

My husband thought it was all very romantic and that’s a first!! A real find.
