Hotel Rahul Palace

Hi,
because the name of this hote contains 'palace' i was silly to believe it will have some class. We booked it through the internet, and when we arrived we were unpleasantly greeted at the hotel. It took them 45 minutes to check us in, as some peole were checking out. It took them forever. While we waited, we were harrassed by a travel agent, who went quite aggressive in order to sale trip to Taj Mahal. We promised that we will drop in his shop later.
After we entered the room, I wanted to turn back and was willing to pay hundreds of pounds for a 5 star. This was suppossed to be a 4 star. The room furniture was old, the view was somebody's else's wall. The noise of generator was too loud. India was a part of our 5 month travel trip around the world, so we carried onw bed sheets - thank god in this case.
I even put jackets on the headboard.
The bathroom was small, and once you showeved, the water stayed on the floor. So you were sitting in the toilet, and your feed were in a 5 inches of water. Toilet was also leaking so it was a mixture of everything on that floor, really!!!
Breakfast were on the roof of the hotel. There were only few tourists, but i was quite annoyed, when they were mostly staring at me and my husband. I'm european and he is black. Sometimes poeple actually came to us, pointed fingers and said 'black & white
'....
The travel agent must have heard that were were up, so he came to meet us for breakfast. We really weren't in the mood to netogiate. After we told him that his price is too hight, he then told my husband that 'by the way nigerians are not really allowed in our hotels'.
I was quite shocked, as i couldnt' udnerstand why he had this attitude. Yes my husband is blac, but he grew up on england!!!
So no guys, don't stay in this hotel, it' unpleasand, dirty and annoying!
