" This was our first all inclusive and... "

This was our first all inclusive and I had reservations. The hotel was clean the food excellent and the service great. The staff appreciated attempts at their language but overall a large portion spoke good enough english for all to get by. There was a good variety in the buffet and the al a carte was very good. They have a number of pools one being a relax pool where you can chill out (no aerobics and such). There were a few areas to sit and eat at lunch, these were dotted around the complex. The jetty and bar was good. On the down side there are alot of russians and germans who have retained the ability to rise before dawn and place towels on the prime spotted sunbeds. But you can always laugh at them walking on the beach and decking in high heels.
On various trips we heard reports from other hotel guests in the local, (titanic & concorde etc) it would appear that the service at the Delphin Palace was better than its rivals. All in all my reservations were ill founded and I would return.

" We had read the reviews before the... "

We had read the reviews before the holiday so we went with high expectations. We were not disappointed! We arrived at the hotel at 11pm and were directed to the dining room where we expected the usual tea, coffee and cakes, but to our surprise there was a full hot buffet awaiting. The whole hotel is spotless, from the pool toilets to the rooms. In fact arriving back at Gatwick airport and using the loos there was a big let down after the Delphin!!! The food was good and varied, but don't go expecting a full english breakfast with bacon and pork sausages because they don't do it! Having said that, there was always plenty to choose from for even the most particular of people, and I'm one of them. The evening entertainment was not brilliant and there is very little to do outside the hotel in the evenings as most of the hotels are all inclusive. We were in a large family group so this did not affect us as much as it might a couple. Despite being a large group and the hotel being predominantly German and fully booked, we had no problem securing 12 sunbeds each day. If you want a day bed you need to get up early and reserve one.
This is a wonderful hotel which was apparently ranked in the top 100 best hotels in the world for 2007! If you want a relaxing holiday with every comfort and tip top service, then the Delphin Palace is a great choice.

" The Delphin Palace is a beautiful... "

The Delphin Palace is a beautiful hotel, I couldn't fault it. The rooms were immaculate, everywhere was cleaned to a high standard. The food was excellent, catering for everyones taste - they even had a diet corner!! The staff were very polite and incredibly helpful, although most do not speak very good English as the hotels main clientele is German and Russian however there is always an english speaking receptionist on hand if any problems arise and the broken English most speak is adequate to get by. The entertainment good, lots to do for the children. The pool areas and gardens are well kept. All in all we had a fantastic stay at The Delphin Palace and would definately return. However, Lara Beach resort is occupied mainly by all inc hotels so there is little to do outside the hotels. BUt the transport links to antalya are good either by bus or taxi or, if you dare, hire a car. We did for two days and saw most of the Antalyan sights for a fraction of the price of the trips on offer. We travelled with Thomas Cook and our rep, Atif, was really helpful. Definately recommend this hotel to anyone.

" As soon as you arrive at this hotel... "

As soon as you arrive at this hotel you get the WOW factor. The reception area alone is magnificent with 5 glass lifts that are amazing to watch dont know why!!! Our booking in was quick and we were in our rooms within 15 mins of arrival at the hotel.
We immediately went down to have a walk round and have a couple of drinks and knew straight away that we had made a great choice of hotel.
On our first day we headed to the pool expecting not to get a sunbed as the hotel was full but to our surprise we got some altogether for our party of 6.
The service is excellent the staff always willing to help you and they were very friendly.
If you felt lazy you didnt even have to leave your sunbed for a drink as the drinks trolley came round most of the day with a variety of drinks both alcoholic and soft.
In the afternoon they came round with freshly peeled apples, carrots, cucumber and watermelon to keep you refreshed.
Food is always available. Firstly you have breakfast served till 10.30am. Around the pool they serve kebabs, hot dogs,chips,waffles,ice-cream this is in addition to all the food that is served in the beach cafe and main restaurant from 12.00 so no fear of going hungry even for the hardest to please.
The Animation Team work really hard to keep you entertained,a special Hello to Gabrielle and Ebo they were the best and really looked after us, we only went to a couple of shows as we went for a walk after our evening meal so we didnt feel guilty for all the food we had consumed all day, be prepared to add on the timber!!!
We spent most of our evenings(after our walk)sat in the outside reception area.
The rooms are spacious and really tastefully decorated to high standards. You get dressing gowns(not to keep) and slippers which you can keep.
If you are still hungry you can get room service between 12 and 6am serving tea/coffee,burgers,chips,club sandwich and more. We only used the service once just to say that we had had room service!!!!and cos we could!!!
Overall this is the best hotel we have stayed in at Turkey and we have been to Turkey 6 times previous 2 of those to Topkapi Palace also on Lara Beach which we thought would take some beating but Delphin Palace just tips the scales as being the best hotel by far hence we will be returning.
