We had a great stay at the Vila Bela. The hotel was just a nice size. Both our rooms had marvelous views and were very clean and comfortable. The only thing missing was tea making facilities. The staff were friendly and helpful espcially Dimitri,Georgio and Ray. The whole Hotel was spotless. We will certainly visit again.

We stayed here for 10 days and I must say we were very impressed. It is situated in a great location so you have easy and quick access to all the bars, restaurants and beach. Its very quiet and peaceful so you don't have to worry about loads of noise at night. The whole... more

Having read previous reviews,(rather foolishly AFTER having already booked the holiday), we were somewhat concerned as to what to expect when we got there. I had visions of a horrendous, ramshackle hovel in the middle of nowhere which might boast lurch-like characters... more

If there was a zero rating this is what I would have given this hotel. We arrived the same time as the flies First thing I had to do was go out to buy fly spray, the room was full of them, we complained to management who could not give a damn, we had paid our money and... more

We arrived at the vila bela after confirming with thomas cook that we had a sea view, on arrival we were shown to a room which appeared to be in the basement overlooking a dirty noisy busy road. We approached the lady owner of the hotel and asked where was our sea view we... more

We booked this accommodation through a travel agent and were charged €1,212.00 for flights and accommodation for 2 people for 1 week from Ireland. We were ripped off!!! This was the most basic and inadequate accommodation we have ever stayed in anywhere in the world. The room had no safe, air conditioning, fridge or tea or coffee making facilities. The 2 single beds were hard and the sheets were so threadbare that there were tiny holes in two of them. The pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable. The "dining area" was 2 doors away on the street from the bedrooms. Breakfast each day consisted of diuted orange, approxametely 3 dessertspoons of cornflakes, 2 rolls, 2 slices of ham and cheese and coffee or tea and that was the same for the duration of our stay. I requested a change of towels on Monday but I was informed that they were changed on a Tuesday and Saturday only. The sheets were not changed during our stay I have requested the travel agent to remove this accommodation from their brochure. The restaurants in the old town of Albufera were excellent. Food was great and service was excellent but I would advise anybody travelling there not to stay in the above named accommodation.
