arrived back today. keen to add my comment. brilliant. food a bit repetitive but pretty good and there was always something to eat, soup lovely. we would definately go back, even though we dont like to go back usually as its nice to try somewhere different. so if you have booked, you will have a great time. just ask for a top floor because the poor cleaners start early and they wear stillettos and clippety clop round. nothings perfect but this is as near as you can get in our opinion. it is so clean. we werent near the pool area which was a blessing judging by the other complaints. staff lovely.

on arrival we were told we had to go to hotel next door as they were double booked, i complained as we have 3 small children and wanted to be near the indoor pool etc. after a while they found us a room. room on the reception floor above games room and bar so no sleep for us, my 2 year old was grumpy the whole holiday due to lack of sleep. the noise was un bearable till 3am every single day. the rooms were very small and with the pull out bed and our pushchair there wasnt much floor space so the maids just left a note saying they wouldnt be cleaning for us. our 9 and 10 year old liked the games room but the machines swallow the euros and dont work so they spent most of time at reception asking for money back, but got ignored most of time.

I spent a week in this hotel in mid January with my husband and two little girls, ages 2.5 and 12 months old. We opted for an apartment, which came with a small living room/kitchen/diner (and pull out bed under the sofa), and a double bedroom with a cot for the baby. The rooms were spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated, with free fresh fruit in the kitchen on arrival. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need to make a full meal as well as all the basics for breakfast, with clean and newish looking equipment that functioned well. The bathroom was sparkling clean with both a bath and a shower. The maids checked in daily, emptying the rubbish and supplying fresh towels, as well as making the beds.
This hotel has something for all ranges and is perfect for everyone from babies to the very elderly. for babies and children there is a mini club which my girls loved to bits. older kids can do artwork, crafts, sports, swimming and more whilst babies and toddlers can play in the beautifully decorated indoor play area where there is a vast array of toys and activities.
The staff were helpful and friendly. I didn't try the food so cannot comment there.
There is a downside- if you are driving in Spain, this hotel can be hellish to find. If you are new to driving in spain you will discover what I mean- the roads are badly signposted and most of them are one way etc.Mmiss a turning and you will be driving around dark hills for hours like we did! It is not a very central hotel, so it#s a good choice if you want to spend alot of time in the hotel, maybe less so if you are going in and out like we did.
The hill is not that bad at all. It's steep, yes, but it's so short, and there is a lift.
Great lean, modern hotel which is family friendly with a wide range of services, highly recommended, and excellent value too.

I came home from the Benalmadena Palace on the 3rd of January 2007. This hotel is one of the best hotels I have ever been too. It has everything you need from entertainment to leisure. It has a gym, indoor and outdoor pools, massage, hairdressers, spa and lots more.
The only thing that put us off about the holiday was the VERY VERY VERY VERY steep hill. That's why I knocked a mark off. But there is a lift so that you don't have to walk down the hill.
The staff are excellent and the food is fantastic. The rooms have great facilities such as television, ironing board, iron, kettle you name it. The disco pub opens at 6PM and shuts at 2AM in the morning. The staff are excellent with the children so you don't have to worry about them.
There is mini golf a kids room called ' The Mini Club '. Games all day from Monday To Sunday and had a park and several football cages. The disco pub has Live Football, Bingo, Quiz's, Pool, Mini Disco for kids ( that is every single night ), Parrot Shows, Magic Shows, Bird Shows, Reptile Shows and a lot more.
I am going back to The Benalmadena Palace this year as it is a beautiful and fantastic hotel to be in.

This is a fantastic hotel for kids, it’s totally self contained. We went with our 6 month old baby and it was brilliant.
The hill is steep and we ended up spending almost all our time in the hotel but it had everything so it suited us.
Entertainment every night it really was great, we're considering going back in June.

We have just returned from a week at the Benalmadena Palace and have to say that we were very impressed with the value for money.
Room very clean, lovely fully equipped bathroom, lovely sea view. We ate in the restaurant a couple of times, very good selection and plenty of choice for a three course meal.
The only snag is the steep hill leading to the hotel but when we found the short cut it was not a problem.
Entertainment every night if you do not want to go out, very friendly staff.
Would definitely return.

What a disappointment this hotel was - never a four star!
On arriving 9.15pm there was no room ready for us, we were sent to the next door hotel no apology and no details of what time our room would be ready the next day.
Being self catering we had no food or drink so had to set off out to eat at 10 o clock at night, on returning up mount Everest (this is the hill up to the hotel) Being exhausted me my partner and two children age 11 and 12 took to our beds (but no sleep for us) our room was next to the hotel bar.
Hurray, morning arrives forget about last night soon be in our own hotel our own room. Up my partner goes to our hotel to see if our room is ready - no not till 12.30, the other hotel kick us out so we drag our luggage up the remainder of the hill to be stored at our hotel - no food or drink offered so set off out again for breakfast so much for self catering!
Finally room is ready, no wait a minute, not our room, the girl on the desk advised to look at it before taking our luggage up - no thanks looking out at a roof not much daylight back to reception (sorry forgot to say when booking requested pool view) offered another room this one facing building site back to reception ask for manager.
I have had enough, we have so far lost a night and day of our hols he calls us and informs us won’t be a pool view for 3 days ok we say we will stay in the room with the building site but insist on a meal provided by the hotel for the inconvenience and expense we have had.
After much debating with this unhelpful and don’t care attitude, we get a free breakfast for the next morning but still no apology, do not recommend any food in the hotel restaurant not very nice at all.
The room hadn’t been cleaned the balcony floor and room floor covered in dust from building site the sofa bed was dirty the self catering facilities were very poor and for 2 adults and 2 children the room was tiny.
We never got another room, it took three days to get our room cleaned. We ended up cleaning it ourselves which was a waste of time as every time you opened the balcony doors it was covered in dust again.
Up at 7.30 every morning that’s when work began on site, suppose this helped to get your towel on sunbeds by the pool, which are packed together like sardines.
You may not think this but I am cutting a long story short, we had many more upsets at this hotel however I must say that Trevor on the reception did his up most to help us and I am very grateful to him.
My children enjoyed the indoor pool until it was plagued by ants on our 3rd day, the children didn’t go back.
As for Benalmadena itself very disappointing too many English cafes too much high rise apartments the only beautiful thing about this place is the marina it is beautiful but a good 45 min walk from the hotel.
The food n drink in the hotel is pricey so is the hotel shop it is hard work carrying shopping up the hill especially water, I could go on and on but I will finish now by saying don’t recommend this hotel or Benalmadena.
But have no complaints with Jet2 our flights and travel to and from hotel were excellent.

Just back from a week in Benalmadina Palace with wife and 3 kids.
We all had a wonderful time. Great facilities that are well run. Staff very helpful.
Kids club was excellent with brilliant staff. Great local attractions. Try the Kamakazi.
Weather was great reaching 38c, the rooms were air-conditioned 24/7 at no extra charge.
We will be there next year. I would recommend it to anyone.

Just got back from a week in Benalmedena palace with my partner and 14month old wee girl, absolutely loved it!- very child friendly.
The pool area was fantastic with a lifeguard on at all times; kid’s entertainers play pool games most days and there’s always the play room and indoor park!
Entertainment at night was great with kids disco every night till half 10 then cinema 2 follow. The disco bar also had different entertainment every night; my favourite was Jason Oliver- what a laugh!! Open till 3am every night. Drinks bit expensive!
Rooms were clean, though a bit small. Towels were changed and beds made everyday. We didn’t have a pool view but spectacular view of the sea- beautiful.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, could all understand English.
The resort of Benalmedena was great and weather was magnificent for August/September!
Would defiantly recommend this hotel for families and I would return tomorrow!!
Almost forgot 2 mention the killer hill!!!!!!!!! You can cut out the most of it by using your room key 2 cut through the car park- but wouldn’t let it spoil my holiday- get over it!

The apartments are never a four star as the rooms are very small, with only one small wardrobe for three adults clothing.
The room was cleaned they said when we got there, but the floor was dirty as was the bathroom, mirrors ect. Throughout our stay the floor was never moped.
I ended up cleaning it myself. If you’re in bed the maid doesn’t return to make beds or change towels.
The other areas in the hotel were four stars, very clean.
Pools, sauna, gym, entertainment were very good. If they sorted out the room cleaning things would improve and people wouldn’t have much else to complain about.
The hill isn’t bad and is good exercise.

We have visited this hotel 3 times and each time the service has been tremendous.
When we arrived we were seen immeadiatly and were given a room on a quiet seaview balcony. The spa and the climatised pool were at an amazing standard of cleanlyness and the gym is well equipped too.
The outdoor pool can be a little cold, but it is great for cooling down after sunbathing.
But the best thing was the marina, It cost about 20 euros for a taxi to take you down there and it is well worth it. With the amazing spanish restaurants you can eat like a king!
The rooms are equipped with free airconditioning and you can purchase the use of a safe which does come in handy.
The bar is really good as they have childrens games with Antonio who kept the kids entertained for hours. There is also a games room with internet cafe and other games machines.
The shop in the reception is really good as it sells fresh food and drink aswell as souvenirs and sweets. (Except sometimes the woman can be a bit grumpy!)
I would recommend this to everybody! Especially as i am going back there this week!
