Oh where do I start.... The rooms are shabby, bathroom covered in mould, Shower curtain also covered in mould.Electrical appliances in a dangerous condition, with bare wires hanging out of them. Photos shown for hotel are at least 12 years old. Manager "Archie" is only... more

Oh where to begin. This place was terrible but worse was the Manager-Archie and his staff. I can only really echo what the other reviewer has said. So go there at your peril. We left after 4 days along with 4 other people who couldnt stay any longer with only a few hours... more

DO NOT GO HERE!! Arrived to be told that we did not have a room booked. After phoning my tour operator and complaing we were offered a room on the top floor. This was disgusting. There was mould all over the Shower, Toilet and Fridge. We complained to Archie the owner who... more

Amazing Staff - Fantastic time

We have just returned from our first visit to Turkey and what an experience it was. This was due to the staff at the Gizem Apartments in Marmaris. The boys all worked so hard to make the holiday fun, were very friendly and gave us lots of information about the places we could visit etc. The rooms were very basic but cleaned every day. The pool had plenty of free sunbeds and entertainment every night kept us busy. The beach was about a 10 minute walk away or the dolmus which cost under a pound took 5 minutes. Went to the apartments in June for 2 weeks. First week was lovely, however all changed in the second week when we choose not to eat at the apartments and were told that we were there customers and should be eating there. When we told them we booked a self catering holiday to save money they started getting funny with us. They tried charging us for things that we didn't have and the staff were sleezy and wouldnt leave us alone. The manager was really rude to us. Would not recomend these apartments to anyone. Stayed at the Gizem july 08 supposed to be for 7 nights but checked out after 5 days. Very basic accommodation and not very clean, towels not changed. Manager and staff up drinking with rowdy guests until 7am. lots of complaints from other guests and manager sent staff to listen in on conversations.

rooms dirty ,pool area hardly cleaned ,,management a joke some sleazy staff ,want to rip you off any way they can and noisy every night need i say more DONT GO!!

My partner and I (both in our 20's) had a fantastic holiday at the gizem apartments during the september of 2006. When you arrive to be honest the front is not much to look at but first appearances are often misleading! At the front of the hotel is a small reception area and a fairly good sized bar. There are plenty of tables and even a pool table which - i think but this may be wrong - was free. The bar was a good size with a good range of drinks. Had a fab time, staff are so friendly and a great laugh. They really cant do enough for you and i cant w8 2 go back Sahap (Steve) makes you feel so welcome and will go out of his way to help you in any way. Cant w8 2 c you guys!!

Just returned from another great holiday at the Gizem Apartments, this is the second time we have stayed there and it just gets better. Apartments are clean and comfortable, the staff are very friendly and helpfull, nothing is too much trouble for them. I can thouroughly reccomend the Gizem for anyone wishing to have a great holiday in Turkey.
