We have been too Tunisia 6 times but booked with confidence when we wanted a late deal 1 week holiday. The Hotel is listed as a 4star Hotel and I saw on the sign outside the Hotel 3 Star. Usually when arriving at a Hotel in Tunisia you are greeting by Porters waiting to... more

on arrival at this hotel, after filling out information cards, we purchased water in euro which cost double the hotel prices(which itself is extortionate to local camparison) and went to our foom which was very basic. we were a party of 3 women but our room had 1 double bed... more

well where do i start! the food was awful, the food in the morning was the night's left overs. was very repetative. if you went too early it was cold, and too late it was congealed. the "buffet restraunt" was more like a working mens club. food and debris lined all the... more

If you have never travelled to, or heard much of, Tunisia, do bear in mind that it is a deprived country. This point can affect your holiday, but if you accept it for what it is, you can certainly have a great time. The Miramar Golf is definitely one of the nicer hotels in... more

This is the first time I have been to Tunisia and I was assured when booking there were lots of activities for the kids. This was not the case. A disco in the evening lasting twenty minutes and water polo and aerobics in the day for two short periods. We were assured there... more

We stayed at the Miramar in August 07. We have been going to Tunisia for many years and this is by far the worst possible place one could stay in. The food is simply atrocious, the Management is rude to its customers, the staff are lazy, and the place is just appalling:... more

After booking this last minute holiday for one week, I was very apprehensive as we had never been to Tunisia before and the comments were bad about this hotel. Upon arriving to the Miramar we were warmly greeted at 5.30am by the hotel receptionist, once we had checked in we... more

.good friendly staff
We have just returned from tunisia. The hotel is basically good but old.The staff are very helpfull and friendly. We arrived at 1.30am was shown to our room went to go to bed but the bedding was covered in blood.Because of the early hour and not wanting to cause a fuss we didn't use the bed and waited till the next day to report it they changed the bedding right away.Food was good and varied. We were dissapointed the hotel was stuck in the middle of a golf coarse as we have no interest in golf,it's a 10-15 min walk to the little section of... more
Loved the 'desert safari'
Spent a week at the miramar golf half board. nice hotel, good atmosphere. food not bad, plenty of choice to suit most people. Nice pool, not too big but plenty of sunbeds which cost 2dinars per day. Entertainment most nights. Rooms not bad, maid service good. Very poor flush in the toilet! Ate at the snack bar for lunch one day but got no chicken in the chicken sandwich and cold chips, so not a good idea. You can get your money changed at the hotel but just get small quantities as you need it. Beach about 10mins walk, nice beach.... more
Really enjoyed my stay
My mum and I stayed at the mirimar golf after reading the positive reviews on this site and I must say they are generally quite realistic and fair. The food is basic and not houte cuisine, but it is edible and doesnt make you ill! The drinks seem to be no more expensive than anywhere else in the resort, certainly not compared to other hotels. As the the entertainment, well we got lucky on that one as they had just hired a new Entertainments person who was therefore trying and succeding to make a good impression. There was somthing on... more
not getting better
i have stayed at this hotel 3 times now. although the staff are great, the hotel just doesn't improve. in fact-it is getting worse. another management taken over and with the attitude of new manager the hotel will not improve. drinks too expensive, food always the same and terrible. so a cheap holiday works out more expensive because you have to eat out to get a decent meal. no chance of me staying there again.!! sandra.(Lancaster)
Good Holiday
Excellent service from arrival at 3am to departure. Good size well furnished room in the annexe. Food OK. Well run private area on the beach. Hotel is located in its own grounds surrounded by the golf course and is peaceful excepting the misguided entertainment team who hadn't got a clue. Would go straight back to this hotel if I was holidaying in Tunisia again. PS Various MyTravel companies use this hoteland their service was excellent as well.
enjoyed the hotel
we arrived at the miramar golf following a harrowing ordeal at the hotel bel air hammamet and an extortinate thieving taxi driver. At first sight the miramar golf was a pleasent experience, bright, open and clean. Clearly a 4 star that was downgraded to 3 at some stage, but the new management are their to get the fourth star back so it will be interesting i am sure they will do it. The reception staff are cheerful and helpfull and the baggage lad is hard worked but a helpful soul, please if any body you need to tip him. The accomodation we... more
My experience of Miramar Golf
We have just arrived back from this hotel and had a relaxing week. We arrived in the middle of the night and after filling out a form were shown to our rooms. We were allocated to this hotel on arrival so did not know what to expect. The room 416 we were allocated to was large and clean. The bathroom was a bit basic, but clean. The breakfast consisted of a lot of bread and croisants and as I have a wheat intolerance, I ate the eggs, they were lovely. They also served tea and coffee, the coffee was awful, but the tea was fine. As we... more
our review
we booked our holiday on allocation on arrival which we were a bit unsure of doing but reasured by the travel agent that it would be ok at this resort, we arrived about 1130pm just in time to get a beer at the bar. the bar was not really that cheap, a beer and a wine about £6. the hotel was clean and our room was really nice, quite large but basic. nice big bathroom with shower and bath. the tv only got sky news channel but we were not there to watch tv! the staff were good and helpful. the marina is lovely with some nice... more
lovely
my partner and i have just come back from a weeks stay at the mirimar golf. where do i start? we arrived pretty late at night and upon our arrival we were given (yet another) form to fill in but after we had done that we were shown quite quickly to our rooms which i thought were quite nice, the matreress on our bed was very hard but i have not come home with any aches and pains so who knows it might have been good for me! the food was a bit samish and i found that i could only eat the foods that were covered as there were alot of flies... more
Value for money !
Have just come back from this hotel on 15 May 2006 so this should be pretty up to date for anyone going soon. Myself and my girlfriend were there for 15 nights which we both enjoyed. The other guests we talked to were all 'allocation on arrival' and had all booked up for late deals. This is a 3 (Tunisian) star hotel which is not the same as English 3 stars. However, for the price we paid (£240 each half board) you can't really complain. Breaking this down, if say the flight was £150, then we paid £90 for 15 nights... more
