Casa Iguana Hotel

We spent six wonderful days at the Casa Iguana Hotel in Mismaloya on our first trip ever to Mexico. The first three days of our trip were spent in Puerto Vallarta at a very low end all inclusive and we were absolutely thrilled when we stepped into the quiet courtyard of the Casa Iguana on our fourth day. The friendliness of the people at the Casa Iguana and in the entire town of Mismaloya was beyond our expectations. The hotel is beautifully groomed and the rooms comfortable and very clean. Nice little Hotel with friendly staff. However, the neighborhood has problems. Beware of the Saturday Fiestas next door; they can loudly run til 4am and you'll think you have bass speakers in your walls. Also, after spending 2 months in Mexico in three yearsI have never seen such a crooked group of Cabbies as at Mismaloye. They seem to all throw the Federal cab rates out the window and many simply won't drive for the federal rates. My rides was double the federal but who wants to argue on vacation.
