Villas Vallarta By Canto Del Sol Hotel

Our Family stayed at the Villas the week of March 9. We have acquaintances who recommended the place and we were not disappointed. The hotel staff-including the great serving staff and hotel cleaning staff were above average. We received several a la carte dining coupons and I would suggest that you use them all. We are here right now at the Villas Vallarta, for those of you coming soon, the weather is great and will stay great for the next few weeks I am sure.....Villas is a better than average hotel, service is excellent, and if you do not like your room then you can change it with not much problem.....food is good, and like any buffet it can get redundant so try the restaurants in town...it is not expensive... re the rooms if you want a room by the pool there are 510 through 520 or the 610 to 620 is one floor up but with a balcony looking... more

When we decided to go on vacation this year, we decided to throw caution to the wind and book a "last minute" deal. We both thought Villas Vallarta looked very nice, and so we watched the price drop, drop, drop until we couldn't risk it being snapped up by someone else first. And what a deal it was! I almost feel guilty about how great it was, for what we spent! The hotel is very clean, well maintained, and the staff are excellent. There was never any communication barrier as all the staff we spoke with were fluent in English.... more

Location dictates resort ratings...since you don't use ½* I'm inclined to rate this resort (Villas Vallarta) as a true 3½*...On the whole, we 4 from Oshawa had an excellent time in Puerto Vallarta. This being my 4th time to this area and the other couple (J&L) their 1st time to Mexico. The fact is, my wife and I stayed at the Villas Vallarta and our travel mates stayed at Canto del Sol Plaza Vallarta...this was not a problem, they are quite close in proximity plus the fact (pay at 1 play at 2) held true here. Just got back from a 1 week all inclusive stay at Villas Vallarta. We flew from Calgary with Air Canada, which was an excellent flight both ways. Airbus 319s are really spacious. Check in was pretty quick, so we toured the facilities... Rooms were spacious,clean, and the AC works good. At Villas Vallarta you get use of facilities at Canto Del Sol,.. which is adjacent and where you have to go for beach and evening shows. We spent most of our time at Villas, because it was quieter and less busy. The food is very good...... more

First time to P V been to Cuba & D R & Mexico several times This hotel small good service food close to shopping & airport 40 pesos to downtown via cab or 4 by bus The a la carte resuarants very nice . Spring break for a few Mar 7 to 14 plan your trip with this in mind , they are just having fun. At the sister hotel Canto Del Sol Plaza Vallarta is where they will be at the beach too busy for me . Stayed at Villa Vallarta Hotel and across the road was the sister Hotel, Del Sol Villa Vallarta. You were more than welcome to use both hotels day or night. Both hotels, staff was very friendly and most helpful. The hotel we stayed was not on the ocean, but nice pool area and family orientated. We had request a room near the pool at booking, do to one of us needing wheel chair assistance. Was given a room at the far end of the complex(way out from the pool area). Asked for another room and was given one on the first, still not near the pool... more

This place is much better then what others have said. For a very good deal me and my gf (both 24) both spent a week feb 20-27 at the Villas Vallarta by the canto del sol. I read all the reviews on this page and was hesitant on whether I made a good decision or not. Well now that i'm back I can definately say that anyone who rates this like a 1 or 2 just ignore them immediately! This was my first time in Mexico and I have to say it was fantastic. We have been going to PV for over 10 years now and this was the first time we decided to go to an all inclusive compared to renting a condo every time, and I have just finished reading some of the reviews for Villa Vallarta and am saddened by some peoples views. yes the food is not to some peoples taste, but People this is Mexico and the buffet foods weren't bad at all. My girlfriend and I went to PV Jan31-Feb 6. My fourth time and her first...we came to room that was not clean and had King bed and hideabed (shabby I might add) ..advertised double beds and not one in the building. Could not change room till am however after bad experience first night with creepy crawlies in the bed we were moved (quickly I might add) in the am...the signature vacation rep SAndra D was very helpful in making our move to a room much more acceptable and mortified to find out the state of the room....I dont know anyone who... more
