hated to leave
We really enjoyed our stay at the Paradise Village. The hotel is beautiful and the service was excellent. We appreciated having four restaurants to choose from and a nearby shopping center with even more choices. The beach was wonderful. No dramatic drop off so you could walk far into the shoreline. The food was very very good. There were many activities for adults and children alike. We especially enjoyed ending our evenings in the very large main lobby were people gravated to at the end of the evening. Our only complaint was that we would... more
suited our needs very well
three of us spent 12 days in Paradise Village. The room was certainly adequate as long as you werent the one sleeping on the pull out sofa-I think a rather large person had slept in this pullout for many a day( more like a hammock) which you rolled to the middle. the restaurant was good, tennis was well set up. The only down fall was the very rude time share fellow who abruptly figured out that we werent going to buy( family already owns one) and made us eat brfst by ourselves in a room with noone( rather showdy treatment there) so say... more
Great family resort
We love Mexico and have stayed pretty much everywhere. We wanted to return to Puerto Vallarta and had previously stayed at the Krystal, though the undertow made it impossible to go in the ocean water. With three kids, we decided to go to the Paradise Village which is one of the only resorts that accommodate more than 4 people in a room. The resort was beautiful, the rooms are spacious, clean and have either a view of the ocean (which we did with a huge terrace) or the marina. There are two pools, one fresh water where all the... more
Would go back in a heartbeat
We had an absolutely delightful week ( between Christmas and New Years) with our children and the grandparents. After spending a mediocre week at the Westin Regina, in the Marina area, we were thrilled with the Paradise. We would never return to the Westin but would definitely go back to the Paradise. The beach was one of the best we've been to, and we had no problem securing 2 palapas and 8 chairs every day. While we were not all inclusive, the restaurants were both good and reasonably priced - ( less expensive than most high end resorts).... more
Great Beach, but Beware the Sales Pitch
After checking in, you're directed by the front desk to see a hostess who gives you the "welcome package." During the process, you'll receive information about the resort as well as a pretty hard sell to go the time sales presentation on Monday. We agreed to go to the presentation because it entitled as to a discounted boat trip/dinner at Las Caletas. The welcome packakge took about 20 minutes. At least four sales people talked to us during the time share presenation - most of them were quite pushy... more
Time Share Hell
The beach was one of the best, the grounds were beautiful, and the store and shopping mall was convenient. Transportation into town was inexpensive and reliable too. However I was treated like a criminal and harassed because I wasn't interested in taking the time share tour. They withheld general information from me because of this.... The information booth wouldn't give me directions to the store or a map until I listened to a 5 min speach about the tour. The hotel does not deal any cash so I had save all my reciepts til the time of check... more
Can't wait to go back!!!
Loved it. Would go any time again. The spa is the highlight. Pools are great!! Beach is good. Staff is the best. I notices many people complaining or worrying about the pool towels and being charged for not returning them. That is really nothing to worry about if you are just a bit smarter than an average rock. Simple really, get a towel, return it when you are done. No rocket science there. In any event, can't wait to go back again!!!
