Just got back from our honeymoon here, where we had one week all inclusive. The hotel is beautifully equiped, food is varied and cooked to a high standard and included on one evening roast suckling pig which was out of this world. Staff are in the main helpful and polite... more

My parents, my husband and myself stayed at the hotel for 2 weeks at the end of April beginning of May. I have not experienced a place so isolated. There is absolutely nothing there, no beach nearby so no where to enjoy a walk and maybe buy a coffee or a beer. We found... more

We stayed at the Hotel La Palma Princess with our 9 year old granddaughter on All Inclusive March 29th to April 5th. We travelled with Portland Holidays. We also stayed there 18 months ago on Half Board, hiring a car at the airport and just using the Hotel as a base for a... more

Last minute booking on-line with Thomsons and can't complain about a thing. We wanted a get away from the cold, snowy British weather for a week, somewhere warm, sunny just to relax and unwind. Exactly what we got! Ok so it was mid February and there were lots of sunbeds,... more

Wonderful views from the spa out to sea - spa was free to use in November for Thomson guests and a real treat. Hotel cleanly and staff very friendly. Restaurant food - tasy and a good variety available every night - there is an outdoor terrace that forms part of the... more

Nice if you pay the extra for a sea view but horrendous if you are in Block 6 or 7 where Thomson put all their guests. These rooms look like army barracks / Tenko and the towers of the reception building add to this bleak effect. As it wasn't sunny when I went, the doom and... more

This was our first trip to any of the Canary Islands - so had no pre-conceptions of what to expect. The hotel is beautiful and very large, but being November was not too busy so there was plenty of space for everyone. We cannot fault the service we received from any member... more

Lovely Hotel :D
On arrival to La Palma, we were greeted by our Thompson holiday rep, who on the coach was not very helpful. - She didn't make it clear what time it was. - She didn't tell us about anything to do or go on the island. - She hardly spoke! We then embarked on our 45 minute journey to La Palma Princess Hotel. - Our bus driver was going quite fast on cliff roads, with no rails. Once we got to the hotel we were given a complimentary drink of pure orange. And a more than helpful porter took our suitcases to our room. The rooms were fairly spacious with a two single beds pushed together and a sofa bed. The bathroom was very clean and tidy. Although there were was no kettle, microwave, fridge, oven etc. Although you can rent a mini fridge for a small fee. Also a beach towel can be rented for €30 and the money will be given back to you after you return the towel. The pools were very clean and VERY spacious. 12 pools one of which was heated. Breakfast was good with fruit, pancakes, eggs, toast, croissants, bacon, cereal, salad and more, all done to a very high standard. Dinner was very varied with great food from salad to bread, and pasta to pork etc. Evening entertainment was also quite good some were a bit too cheesy but the Chinese acrobats the air-flote and flamenco dancing were definitely ones not to be missed. The piano bar music is very good but the same music is played every day. The location is very poor unless you have a hire car, a hire car is definitely recommended, they have a hire car service at the hotel and just round the corner. The hotel it self is lovely and all the staff are friendly, kind, and more than helpful! But know very little English as they have only been learning it since November. Make sure you try the water aerobics Also this hotel has internet service but is very slow! On the weekend people from La Palma come down to the hotel and use the pool, they are VERY noisy so be warned! Also Spanish, German and some Italian people stay at the hotel. Overall great holiday, great hotel, great time :D
