Hedef Resort

We booked a last minute deal just after Christmas online. We decided on Turkey having not been there before and decided on an all inclusive stay as we just wanted a relaxing week without all the sightseeing.
After the 2 hour coach ride from the airport to our resort (which we was unaware of) we had a frosty welcome at the hotel, regardless that it was 7am I think that guests should receive a warm welcome.
We received no information about the hotel itself there was no welcome pack and no info on dining times etc we had to find everything out ourselves which proved difficult as hardly anyone spoke English mostly German and Russian, and we gradually found out over the week that Goldtrail had only just joined the hotel and we were the first British people staying at the hotel.
The outdoor swimming pool was aluminous green and out of use as apparently this is normal in the winter period as its too quiet and expensive to maintain. The indoor pool was adequate and needed cleaning. The gym equipment was terrible. The spa was quite nice but this was all at additional costs.
Staff were not very friendly and need to brush up on customer service, although I give full marks for the food absolutely outstanding! The draught beer was most definitely watered down as after about 6 or 7 pints we were all still stone cold sober!
The hotel itself was lovely inside; the beach was dirty as it closes down in the winter. I don’t think I would book with Goldtrail again I know it was a last minute deal but they should have still provided more information in the hotel etc.
