Costa Dei Fiori Hotel

This hotel is set in the most beautiful grounds I have ever seen! Huge palm trees everywhere. I have something to compare it with as well as I have been to Antigua and St Lucia, so I have seen beautiful grounds before. The swimming pool area is lovely plenty of comfy sunbeds. There is a brick built gazebo near the pool in the lovely grounds where delicious lunches are served. Not what we expected for a 4 star hotel, room was very basic minimal contents in room, eg: Bed (2 singles put together) very uncomfortable, Hotel in middle of nowhere no proper shuttle service, There was a long walk down a pot holed lane to main road to (try) and catch a bus which seldom turned up,Must have own transport to get around otherwise your stuck, There was not much to do on premises apart for three tennis courts and two swimming pools, Beach was not what I expected , not what was in broucher, Went hungry most nights as food was a... more

Im really sad to say that we were very dissapointed with the Costa Dei Fiori. We had been seduced with the brochure and thought we were in for luxury and we were shocked to find our very expensve 'upgrade' was very basic. The 'Beach' was very rocky, unkempt, poky spot. Good job for a pool on the beach I suppose? To be fair the cleaning, staff and the food were great however we seemed slightly out of place being the only english there even though I could speak Italian (which you will need) I think if you are looking for absolutely nothing but... more

The Costa Dei Fiori was an ideal setting for our honeymoon. After the bustle of 3 days in Florence, this tranquil setting on the South West coast of Sardinia was the perfect location to spend a relaxing 11 days. The hotel has lovely gardens and two great swimming pools, one of them an infinity pool. Our stay in Costa dei Fiori brought us rest. Ambiance in the hotel is very calm, lovely pool at 10 meters from the sea, tennis with teacher, average age of clients: 40 (young couples with children and retired couples), no "bar" nor "dancing" but sardinian traditional show once a week. Before booking this hotel really know what you want from your holiday! This is a lovely hotel and very much caters for the Italian market which as far as my wife and I were concerned, enhanced the atmosphere rather than frustrated us. We have just returned from a week in the Hotel Costa dei Fiori 10 - 17 June, and I agree with previous reviews it is a lovely hotel, the infinity pool is great as are the grounds. However it is remote and the promised shuttle bus was not running, therefore unless you hired a car the cost was a taxi from the hotels 'partner service' costing 32 euros return to go a round trip total of 8km, or a 1km walk down the track to an intermittent local bus service! spend a week there. situated in park with palm trees. rooms clean and well kept. staff very friendly and helpfull. food excellent. you need a car to get around. tennis and dive school on the premises but no other activity is arranged. perfect for a quiet holiday. we enjoyed our stay and would certainly return.

we have just returned from Hotel Costa dei Fiori had a lovely relaxing week. The grounds are wonderful with lovely pool. Also infinity pool on private beach cove but little sand and very small bay. Food is good and plentiful. Eating area is outside overlooking pool very pretty but during the day bees seems to share ones food! Service is good. Need a car if you want to explore more. Only criticism are rooms very basic rather small and noisy if on a ground floor so be warned. Upper floor rooms not much better. On the whole above average.

Having just returned from our second trip to the Costa Dei Fiori in Sardinia I feel like a teacher writing a school report and the summary is "could do better". Many things are excellent, the location, grounds, food, rooms all of a standard you would expect from a good 4 star hotel. Where I felt let down was the poor beach and sea which was impossible to swim in due to excessive sea weed, this is a local issue but did tarnish the experience.
