Anemos Beach Lounge

Below is an account of the problems we faced with this hotel and expedia: - hotel very hard to find (it took us half an hour driving up and down the beach and not many of the locals knew of this hotel which did not help) - We arrived to be greeted by the catering staff who showed us our room. - Our room had two twin beds. The hotel is quite nice, but do not expect a "classic" 4 star hotel. From the website everything looks bigger than really is: the hotel, in reality is quite small and, above all, the swimming pool is really tiny! But, apart from this, our room was very large, overlooking the sea and the pool. Only the bathroom was really poor, but we didn't expect much more from a Greek hotel! Visited Meduse with two other girlfriends and were unfortunately moved to La Meduse through overbooking at Thalassa, our original hotel. Upon arrival we were not pleased with the accomodations, the bathroom had rust throughout and the lighting was extremely poor. The hotel was quite a distance from the rest of the Perivolos area. We felt that after our recent stay we must write a few words to say how much my wife and I enjoyed our stay here. Originally we had booked a superior double room at the hotel, I guess that we didn't think that the room that we had was great but what we did find was a fabulous hotel manager than really wanted us to have a great time. We stayed at La Meduse for two nights. It was great to have the location right on the beach with many good restaurants nearby. We enjoyed a day of sunbathing, swimming and a great foot/leg massage. Panos, the general manager, deserves special praise. He went out of his way to handle any problems efficiently. He made several telephone calls to handle a question about our flight from Santorini to Cairo. He has a great sense of humour and a very kind heart. In beautiful Santorini we stayed at La Meduse Hotel, Perivolos. A nice black sand beach in a charming hotel, with beautiful views and an excellent staff, always ready to please us! We highly recommend it!

The hotel La Meduse is a small and private resort which has recently been refurbished and is of excellent quality, both stylish and immaculately clean. We were met by Panos the most charming hotel manager whose passion for our life and family and our comfort was second to none. He and other staff went out of their way to ensure we were able to relax from the moment we arrived. this was our second honeymoon, the first holiday without the kids! so we were looking for peace and quiet. contrary to a lot of reviews, this area of perivolos / perissa is actually quite noisy, with mopeds and quad bikes cruising up and down the strip all day and some very noisy clubs. however you soon get used to it. we were mucked around big time by thomson holidays (watchdog here we come!) so we ended up at la meduse by defualt. the hotel is very nice with decent breakfast and private pool area (screened from the road). we were a little... more

We stayed at La Meduse with our 16 month son in May 2008. We walked in off the street and had orignally intended to stay 3 nights, which became 8 nights and then 13 as we extended our holiday because we loved the hotel so much and were having a great time.
