Carina Hotel Apartments

Me and my wife have been back a week. The apartments were ok surprised how big they were, could have easy slept 4. The pool area and bar was good if not a bit poorly stocked. The cheap cocktails were just that cheap! The room service was very good clean towels and sheets. The apartments were 5 minutes walk from Nissi bay, 15minutes walk from Ayia Napa square and clubland, The harbour was 15 minutes as well and about 20-25 minutes on the bus to Fig Tree Bay. Me & my 2 friend went to the Carina as a cheap basic holiday while they found jobs i was there for the sun! The Carina are VERY basic not good for familys but perfect for young people who just want a bed. Wach Sonto the man behine the bar he works between 11.30pm - 7.00am he WILL try and touch you just tell him to leave you alone and he gets the message. Myself and my friend are just back from a week in Ayia Napa which we absolutely loved apart from our extremely basic & noisey apartments!! We are 2 girls from Dublin, Ire, in our early 30's, single & enjoy a good time but these were a bit over the top! Gangs of young drunken lads were aloud to make noise anytime day or night and our apt opened out onto the main road which was very busy!! ayia napa is evry young persons dream!!! i absolutely loved this place so much that im going again in may for 3months!! can't wait! myself and a friend stayed in the carina apartments, wouldn't recommend them but we were only there for a week so we put up with it. apartments were infested with cockroaches and ants. there was a charge for air conditioning which is fine but there was only one fan in the apartment. bathroom was tiny. could barely move in there!! it was about a 5-10 min walk to the bustling square, we were a bit disappointed... more

We stayed in the carina in October traveled by Budget travel it is very basic and a class C accomidation, situated on the main road into Ayia Napa, so there is heavy traffic 27/7 so you do not get much sleep the 24hr bar does not help either, the rooms are very basic with a camping stove to cook on no kettle to boil water only a saucepan, it is overrun with ants and the cleaners do not know what clean water is as you could see where they used the mop, it is only suitable for 18/30 clubbers not for the older set the grounds were kept very... more

Just back from ayia napa. Prior to my travel I read 2 rewievs about carina apartments....I was so upset and dissapointed and not looking forward to my holiday at all. Well there was no need. Apartmens very big and basic with air con at extra cost. Open bar 25 hours a day, with great staff with big personalities . Dayli room service with clean towels and floors washed. sheets changed after 3 days. clean pool. Had a great memorable holiday, and would go back tomorrow! Well done to the carina apartments... more

Got a late deal to cyprus in September, staying at Carina apartments. Accomodation was basic to say the least, on arrival we were greeted with an infestation of ants in the apartment. I would suggest a lot of ant spray is needed or some sort of permanent insect repellant. Bed linen was dirty and the towels supplied had seen better days. Cleaning was minimal. If your not fussy about where you want to stay and don't mind the pool bar being extremely quite it may be ok. On the plus side very close to town centre, plenty of good restaurants... more

The artments are very basic so u get what u pay for, they are c class which is bad...... The matress are appaling but the a/c is good. It is clean when u arive but is not well cleaned untill you leave so it get dirth. The beach it is beside is stonny but about a 15 min walk takes you to a good one. The pool is very bad it is shallow, small and a bit dirty and the pool bar is "dead" as no one goes to it. All in All if you havnt allready booked dont go unless your young and irish and have no worries about comfert at all.

just returned from a weeks' stay at this accommodation. on the plus side, the staff are very helpful and friendly. the apartments are very well located 10 mins stroll from the resort centre, 5 mins from the nearest sandy beach, shops and restaurants ('Pagoda' chinese is particularly good) are very close. on the negative side, the apartments are beside a busy road and this may not suit if like me u are a light sleeper - i was kept awake some nites with boy racers tearing up and down the road. also i found the beds to be very hard. i... more

Stayed in the Carina Apartments for two weeks in September ’05. Booked holiday with budget travel and got an excellent late booking. Booked on the Wednesday travelled on the Friday. 350 euro Overall the accommodation was good. Good Points Reasonably Priced Friendly Staff Good Location. (15mins walk from center) Great location to excellent beach.(5mins walk) Sun beds Free and clean. Pool & Grounds well maintained. Apartments quite clean. Bar friendly but. Basic.
