We have just returned from our third trip in a row to the Asena and we are looking to book again for our fourth year in a row.Everything about the Hotel and the resort is perfect. You feel your children are safe and there is only one pedestrianised street for them to wander down to the beachfront.Make sure you visit the bean bags on the beach to chill out day or night .There are a couple of chaps who work so hard there who always have a smile and make the time to stop for a chat. Hello to Carlos - the Slush puppy boy who gets a bit taller each year and the mad Ali G. The staff at the Hotel are marvellous and work soooo hard ( as do all the other Turks in Olu Deniz ) Special mention to Smiley,Smiley,Smiley and the crazy Dennis in the Cocktail Bar, who will be in the Army when we next visit.Farti/Faith - who wrestled with my husband on a daily basis to get him into the pool and 'John' who is dead pan with a wicked sense of humour and likes to play jokes in the breakfast room and Crouchie ,who maybe working in London very soon. Every year we come across people we have met in previous years and all the children get together. This year my son met old friends and made new ones aswell, who we have kept in touch with since we got back. Special mention to Colby, Courtney, Chez and Tractor and all the little ones they entertained around the Hotel each day. Hi to Richard, who everyone knew and who has now bought property out there.I could go on and on but really all i need to say is that you don't only go to the Asena or Olu Deniz once, you will return for another visit at least. P.S. Must just mention the Asena's Hairdressers , where you can have a french manicure or nail art for just over £7.50 and Janus? on the craft stall ( 2nd/third on the right )who makes the most gorgeous hand made jewellry ( I bought loads )
best holz eve!!

Wonderful Holiday at Asena Beach
We arrived at Asena Beach hotel at 5:00am and was greeted with smiling faces and some one to take our cases, although we declined as there was an elderly couple that needed more help. After 2½hr sleep we were up and ready for breakfast and was greeted with by some of the cheeriest waiters I have ever come across. Esat, Cihan, Cenjis, Suyaip, and the comis too! Jimmy was all for joining in the fun too. The room was OK, Turkish! But this was made up for the beautiful flower decorations left on our bed by the maid and the cleaniless of the room. We were located right near to the steps by the restaurant and was not disturbed by guests once - only by the waiters moving all the chairs when is was raining! The pool side was lovely too and the pool. the grounds were kept in fabulous condition and it felt very peaceful when walking through. We only stayed a week and I had tears in my eyes when I left - I was just not ready to go. I cannot praise this hotel and it's staff enough and will be going back next year for TWO weeks, so watch out boys! and one thing about the resort? Wonderful!
What a FAB abd FUN place to stay - miss it loads!!!
My husband and I (in our 30’s) have just returned home from 2 weeks at the Hotel Asena Beach in Olu Deniz. The first thing that struck us when we arrived was how friendly the staff were. We got to the hotel at 3am and the reception staff were very helpful and even made us a cup of coffee. There are many great members of staff at the hotel, Ozzi, Suleyman, Ali, Esat, Cengiz, Hatash just to name a few. The bar staff and waiters double up as the entertainment staff on hotel theme nights such as the pool party and karaoke night and they form the group ‘Asena Boyz’ who do plenty of dancing! The breakfast is quiet basic and included the usual contionental spread. You can pay extra for English fry up but we weren’t interested in eating too much first thing in the morning. The food in the Half Board rooftop restaurant is excellent. The homemade soups are delicious, as are the sweets. There is plenty of choice so everyone is catered for. The lunches at the pool bar are also delicious, but beware the portions are HUGE. We ended up sharing a dish between us for lunch as one each was too much. The drinks prices in the hotel are a little bit more expensive than some of the bars outside but not by much. The location of the hotel is excellent. It is very near to the beach and close to the bars, but far enough away that you can still have a quiet night if you want to. There was always plenty of sunbeds available and as it’s predominantly English people who stay there, there were no Germans to put their towels out early! At first, we thought the room was a bit small and it was hard to get two people in the bathroom without getting in each other’s way. This turned out not to be a problem though and there was enough space for clothing and a good safe in the wardrobe. The only thing the room lacked was a kettle and cups for tea or coffee. We learnt later in the holiday that you just call reception if you want a hot drink and they will bring it to you. The standard of maid service depends on which maid you get. Our maid, Hatice was lovely, she put flowers on our bed a few times and made love hearts with the towels. She had a couple of days off and we could certainly tell the difference. The general rule here is be nice to the maid and she will go the extra mile for you. This is the first holiday we have been on where we have said we definitely want to go back. This is undoubtedly because of the friendly nature of the staff and the facilities at the hotel. Would we recommend this hotel? Without a doubt!! Please feel free to e-mail me with questions about anything I have left out.
Woderful Wedding at Olu Deniz-Asena Beach
What a wonderful time we had at the asena beach. We arrived on the 26 sep2006,and stayed for 14 nights-bed and breakfast. We stayed for 7 nights, then all our family and friends came over on the second week-and we got married on the blue lagoon on the 5 oct2005. The hotel was very clean.and our room was wonderful-overlooking the pool-but it was a bit loud at night time-as the pool bar is quite lively!! The maids were in every day-and on our wedding day we had rose petals on our bed-and our towels were made into swans!!A lovely touch. The hotel is smack in the middle of Olu Deniz,so everything is really easy to get to. The pool area was very clean, and there was music on around the pool everyday. Breakfast was nice-but very much the same everyday. Next time we go,we will be upgrading to half board,as we found the prices for food were a little expensive at some places. We have some very special memories of olu Deniz and the Asena Beach-and it was all thanks to Airtours and the staff at the Asena Beach!!
like paradise
24th June 2006 I would just like to say that it's the best holiday resort I have ever been to. Absolutely gorgeous. The people are so friendly, I felt like a Queen for two weeks. I didn't want to leave. My Grandson shed a few tears. Our Hotel was Asena Beach, could not fault the place. A must is the jeep safari, I have never laughed as much in my life. It's an adventure not to be missed. A little tip. Don't spend too much time getting yourself done up in the morning, What with windswept hair and mud baths it's a waste of time , but fun. The Blue Lagoon is fantastic, like paradise. Watching the sunset from the beach, on an evening is another must, quite beautiful. I cant wait to go again and again. Enjoy every minute, time passes too quickly.
Great Base For Amenities
Just got back from another great holiday in Olu Deniz. The Asena is one of the nicest hotels, with lots to offer. Although, we didn't take advantage of them. They have a Turkish and B-B-Q night once a week and are currently showing all World Cup matches. Depending on what side of the complex you are staying, it can be quite noisy. When we arrived, early hours of the morning (as usual), we had requested a double bed on booking and I even dropped them an e-mail confirming this, to which we had no reply. As usual, we were given twin beds in a room at the back of the complex (garden), very quiet. The double bed room we were given was the pool side, very noisy! I sleep with ear plugs and could still hear people coming in at 4am slamming doors! Also, the sun rises on the pool side that bounces in off the floor at 5am. There are no curtains to block out the sun either, we resorted to hanging beach towels up on the net curtain pole, this helped a bit. We had a problem with the bedding, a single sheet was left for a double bed, which we didn't find out until we got in at 1am. When my fiancé went to Reception to sort it out, we got a double sheet straight away and another one was left the next day. We had to request more pillows and for the towels to be cleaned more then they were. We also had some laundry done at Asena, it takes 48hrs. We asked for them to be washed and ironed, we got them back, still damp and not ironed. When we showed them at Reception, they were taken and returned within a couple of hours, dry and ironed. It seemed to us that, if you go Half Board you get preferential treatment, such as rooms being hovered, not swept. And, flowers being left in rooms. What we did notice was, the housekeepers not only "clean" the rooms, they clean the grounds and run the kids club!! The surroundings are lovely, although we only saw the garden fountains on once in the two weeks we were there. The pool isn't the usual 6' that you get a most hotels, it's a nice 5' and a separate children’s pool. There is also a photographer around the pool area. The hotel itself is clean and has enough going on, there is Internet, a supermarket, hairdressers and Captain Hook's restaurant. When checking in, you are given a card - be careful! We paid ours off every couple of days, if not you could get a nasty shock at the end. They also tell you that the card given entitles you to discount, we didn't notice any discount! All in all, the staff at The Asena are friendly and accommodating. The best part of the holiday was Ottoman's situated at the side of Asena. They have a fantastic restaurant one side with 2 menu's, one for breakfast/day meals (breakfast you can have, Cornflakes, fruit bowl, poached egg on toast, etc. and the Full English is the best), and another for evening meals, which is just a good. The Sunday lunch is lovely, with an apple pie included. The cups of tea are either Tetley or PG Tips, not the usual Lipton’s. The other side is the spacious airy bar, with air con. They have 3 screens with proper SKY television. They show ALL World Cup matches AND Big Brother. We made many friends through Ottoman's including the staff - Semi (the owner), Richard (meeter & greeter), Humid and Mehmet. The atmosphere is sophisticated yet fun and there is always laughter. The staff will go to great lengths to make sure every is ok for you, including staying up until the small hours until you are ready to go back to your Hotel. Leaving them with as little as 4-5 hours sleep, yet they never change their lovely attitude towards you. We have been to Olu Deniz 3 times now (about to book 4th), we have eaten at most of the restaurants and Ottoman's is definitely HIGHLY recommended. Compared to The Waterside, we promised them we would go for Sunday lunch - DON'T. It was more like chicken ding! I wish my Sunday lunches took 5mins to make!!! Watch out for the mosquito's this year, they are on fire! Be sure to have your jab! Each year we go there is something new. This year, there are free deckchairs on the beach. There are bar staff who come and take you order, for food, drink and even a waterpipes (flavours not hashish or tobacco), this is lovely to take advantage of the beautiful sunset. The Blue Lagoon is worth a visit, although it is quite a walk and it does get busy. We rented a speed boat for the day, 10am-6pm for £60 for 2, this can be booked on the beach. One of the deck chair bars will make up a salad box and fruit box for 5ytl each (£1.85), perfect to take for a picnic. I hope all this information will help you to make a good decision and give you an idea of where to go and what to do? Enjoy!
Never Again
Arrived at Asena Beach late afternoon, seemed a nice resort and hotel. We were shown to our room which was on the ground floor we had a family room on entering we noticed a damp smell, the bedroom was light and spacious, but the second room was very dark, and had no air con. It was very hot we were bitten by the mossies a lot. The staff were friendly at first but noticed that the more tips they got the friendly they became. We found the resort quite and not much going on exept for kareoke bars. Breakfast was continental style unless you wanted to pay extra for cooked which we thought was in with our package also the fresh orange is extra but you don't know till you have drunken it. On leaving we were given a extra bill for £400.00 for having a family room which we had booked before going. Just finished the holiday off we could not wait to get home and will not be visiting the resort again.
Asena Beach is fab!!
From the minute we arrived at the Asena Beach we were made to feel really welcome. The staff at this hotel are amazing and cannot do enough for you. They are all so friendly and always stop for a chat. The rooms are spacious enough and are similar to other hotels that we have stayed at in Turkey, but they are always clean and the maids even leave flowers on the beds on certain days. We all enjoyed the food at the hotel and the choice is extremely good. If you like fish/seafood, try the Captain's Hook restaurant, which is part of the hotel - it is fabulous. We reserved a table and sat in the garden which was lovely, as they had laid flowers on the table which was set under garden lights - so relaxing after a hard day by the pool!! The hotel gardens are beautiful and very well maintained. There is a kids club, which our children used a few times, but it appears to cater for younger children. Adda, the kids club rep, was great and our kids really took to her. If there were no kids in the club then she would come and entertain by the poolside. The pool is a great size and our kids lived in it! With regard to sunbeds, the first week we were there, we could go and grab a bed at any time, but with the 2nd week approaching half term, we were having to get up early to put towels on the beds, as they were taken by say 8am - I would imagine there is a scramble for them in summer! The resort is lovely and we felt really safe - barter with the shopkeepers, they love it! Although the Blue Lagoon looks lovely from an aerial view, we found the sand really gritty and it wasn't great for kids. The only thing to look out for is the cost of drinks, the prices have certainly crept up over the last couple of years, and you will pay more or less the same as the UK - although the measures are larger! Overall, we had an absolutely great time and felt completely relaxed the whole time we were there. This was our first visit to the Asena Beach and certainly won't be our last. Hello to all the staff - especially Ozzie in the Terrace Bar - see you next year!! Robbie, Lou, Niamh, Jo, Lorne, Chem, Jenny & Mia (Guernsey)
The best hol ever
Were do I start It was brilliant really thats all I need to say. B ut I will Go on. when we got there the first thing was how nice the people are they are so nice. I wish everyone was as nice as them. Hotel rooms were10 out of 10 the rooms were always clean and tidy the cleaners must slave all day beacause they are spotlise. there is a gym which is great and has everything you need from tredmills to weights. The pool is great and big there is always activities going on in the pool and outside it. There are lots of activites for kids and adults. But if you wish you could sit back and enjoy the view. also every so often the staff start to dance next to the pool and throw willing people in.
