Had an amazing stay at this hotel; very clean, great location, good entertainment and activities very organised. The bar, catering and cleaning staff were all excellent, particulary the pool bar crew! Hilarious!!! Would definately recommend this hotel, I'll be going back later this year :)

CANT WAIT TO GO BACK THIS YEAR

After much research we decided that we would book a 7 night stay at the Asena Beach Hotel. We had spoken to many friends who had already been to the area and had highly recommended Olu Deniz.
We arrived at the resort in the evening and were met at the reception. We were shown to our room and were very pleasantly suprised. Although a little on the small side it was clean and had everything that we needed given that we were on holiday and only use our room to sleep in!
The next morning we met with our Rep 'Tourcan' who is fantastic, he gave us lots of information in relation to things to do and excursions that we could go on. We booked a couple through him (paragliding and a turkish bath) but he was far from the hard sell.
The pool at this hotel is fantastic and kept very very clean (just like the whole of Olu Deniz). The weather was very hot and we enjoyed the fantastic Iced Latte's made by Ozzy each morning!
We ate in many restaurants but have to say our firm favourite was Captain Hooks. We are both great lovers of fish and the food was always oustanding as well as the service. We also enjoyed the salads at the pool bar and can definately recommend the 1/2 price cocktails in the evenings.
During our stay we also went on a boat trip around the islands, its worth paying a little bit more (£8 each) to go on a boat that only has about 50 people on it rather than being crammed in like sardines. We went scuba diving which was fantastic through the European Diving Centre and I cant wait to do my open water diver course this year when we return.
All in all I have to say that this is the best holiday that we have ever had. We have been to many many countries and have stayed 5* many times also. If you are thinking about going to Asena Beach then definately get booked I am sure that you wont regret it.
We are returning this year for our honeymoon and september cant come quick enough!!!

A word of caution

This is an excellent hotel with excellent staff both poolside and in the Captain Hook restaurant. The rooms are comfortable and kept clean. Good tidy grounds and excellent pool and poolside facilities. It is perfectly placed within a 5 minutes walk of the beach. Staff singled out for praise are both the Ramazan's. However a word of caution regarding the safety of personal items. My last visit (and I have stayed at this hotel on 3 occasions...) £60 disappeared from the safe and my mobile telephone disappeared only to be found under a pile of folded blankets after being left on the dressing table for an hour. Mysteriously turned on as far as the PIN login screen having been left switched off. Think about it there MUST be a default number/method of accesing the safes. Sadly this marred my holiday.

fabulos, having never been to turkey before my husband and i were very unsure about staying in turkey. changed our minds completly.we stayed at the asena beach hotel in olu deniz which all can say is that it is a fabulous hotel the staff are all very friendly. the rooms are very clean and tidy. bed linen is changed twice a week but the rooms are cleaned every day.the pool area is extremley clean and the boys who work behind the bar are great. extremely friendly will do any thing for you, zafer is the nicest person we have ever met.we were half board and the food was very good. captain hooks fish restaurant was also very good it did exellent food.
the resort of olu deniz is very clean and tidy. at night we would walk around the area before going into the local bars for the music and karoke njoy is the best bar in the resort. the bar staff are brill especially when they all start dancing in the middle of the road.this was a great holiday and we have already booked for next year.

Myself, my partner and 12yr old daughter stayed at Asena beach for 2wks in Aug. Nothing prepared us for the heat, so the air- con is a Godsend.Staff are very friendly, helpful and polite. Rooms are kept clean, downside is that they are very small.Food is good, would recommend upgrading to half board for a few nights. Plenty of places to eat in the resort. What was a bit of a pain is the fact that towels were on sunbeds before 7am! Would recommend paragliding, we all did it with Gravity. the journey up to Mt Babadag is truly hair-raising in the jeep, but most definetly worth it.We definetly hope to go back again.

Absolutely brilliant hotel and staff very friendly. Especially Zafer and Ozzy at the Pool Bar, made the holiday!!! Zafer especially bought a cake when he found out it was my son's 20th birthday and made the evening very special. The hotel entertainment is also very good, no need to go further if you want to stay in Olu Deniz, there is plenty going on for a week. Room maids were excellent, kept the place very clean and superb touch with fresh flowers on bed. Pool nice with 3 depths, which allows those wanting to swim in deep water away from little children in the shallow pool. Hotel food very good standard, no problems with food or drinking bottled water. Staff do everything possible to assist you and are willing to help advise you on the area. Reception staff also extremely helpful even if independent traveller. Hotel well placed as right in the heart of shops and restaurants, quiet if room on the side away from the street, not too much noise after 1am. Paragliding very safe and terrific views, take your camera up. Also Divemed PADI diving course, good and well organised, reviewed by by husband who is a fully professionally trained diver in the UK, he could not fault them on their safety, so if you want to try scuba diving for the 1st time, they are very good. The lagoon is beautiful and well worth going to, lots of water things to hire/do. The main beach is also very clean and lovely to swim, boat trips leave from here for tour of islands, very cheap at 10TL but they make up their money on selling drinks/extra food on route, so take plenty extra cash as it is a long day away. Pancakes on the boat though were delicious. Captain Hooks restaurant in the Asena beach has excellent seafood and Ramazan the Manager, is extremely pleasant, you would be hard pushed to find better food for a special evening. The bars and restaurants generally are of a good standard. The Buzz Bar on the seafront, does excellent Baclava, and Illy Coffee, try it and see!! The trip to the Tauras Mountains and Villages with the Truck Safari lets you see more of the real village life and is interesting although the roads are a bit scary in parts. Erol the guide, was full of fun and lots of information about the local area. You can book this through the Thomas Cook Rep even if you did not go with TC. Their Rep is a Scottish Girl and very knowledgeable and helpful about the area. The Turkish Bath in the hotel is safe and the staff there are full of fun and it is a great experience, you must try this!!
Will definitely be going back to the Asena Beach Hotel, made many good friends there and was sad to come home. First time in Turkey and definitely will not be the last!!!!

My family and I just got back from staying at the asena beach hotel really lovely, staff around the pool and restaurant are very friendly and brilliant with children.
The rooms are a little small but fine really really clean the maids came in everyday. The pool is fantastic and surrounded by the mountains. Breakfast was fine but did get a bit boring. My only bad thing to say about the hotel is that the staff on reception could of been more helpfull which im sad to say is the only bad memory I have of an otherwise perfect holiday

  • Advice: really lovely. people really friendly. beauitful food. lots to do

Arrived early in the morning after a tiring journey from Dalaman but were given a warm welcome (juice and biscuits!) and had our heavy cases carried up to our rooms for us. Admittedly the rooms weren't huge, but why should they be? They were comfy and homely, the air con was a massive relief, had to turn it OFF because we got too cold! The television didn't have many English channels but if you go on holiday to watch television then that's your own problem.
There was a mini fridge and plenty of storage space for my friend and myself- two girls with a LOT of clothes!
The beds were freshly made up every couple of days with lovely swan and heart shapes and roses left on the sheets- a memorable touch.
The hotel itself was immaculately kept and clean and we never saw a fly. Ever. The breakfasts were average but fresh so you can't ask for more than that.
The pool was always clean and reasonably big with games being played there regularly.
The staff were incredibly friendly but if you are a woman they may be overly friendly- this is the same for the entire area though. The bar staff in particular were lovely to talk to and made sure we were welcome.
Didn't personally attend any of the entertainment nights because so much else was going on elsewhere but from what I heard they always go down well with customers.
The location of Asena Beach is perfect; a five minute walk from the gorgeous beaches (make sure you wear the proper rubber shoes, or shoes at least. I avoided wearing mine but at a painful cost.) On the walk down to the beach you will be hounded by every single shopkeeper/member of staff but they aren't really a problem- they add to the holiday experience and they are all lovely to talk to! If this bothers you there are different roads to walk down where you wont find as many shops.
There are regular bus routes to Fethiye and Hisaronu which are both great to visit! Hisaronu is good for people looking for a good night out but this isn't to say Olu Deniz didn't cater for our dancing needs. Fethiye is a good visit but beware- it is extremely hot! The market is great if you are good at bartering- otherwise they might try and charge you too much.
There are also lots of boat trips running from the beach- this was personally the highlight of my holiday. You will get to visit various bays and swim in the warm and beautifully blue Mediteranean sea.
The restaurants cater for all tastes and we never had a problem with any food, even if it was cheap.
Definately one of the best weeks of my life. The only faults are over- friendly people and slightly painful beaches (my fault for not wearing shoes..)

Great for my teenage boys

We went to Asena beach hotel last August. I have 3 teenage boys from 18, 17 and 14 I wanted place to keep them amused but not to be too rowdy for us. The hotel was very attractive with a nice pool which had three sections ranging from deep to shallow. The rooms were comfortable and kept very clean. The air con broke down once and was fixed within 10 minutes. All the staff are very friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere in the hotel was good. There was a good crowd of youngsters of all ages and my boys made loads of friends - some younger and some older. They played waterpolo in the pool every day and the kids organised footie on the small pitch. All in all we hardly saw out kids. We started eating together as a family in the evening, but within a few days the boys had made friends and were going out without us. We were really just human ATM machines - which meant we were all happy. My husband and I hired a car and went out every day to explore the area whilst the boys were busy round the pool. I felt that the resort was very safe - small, but loads of bars, restaurants etc and the older ones went up to the local resort Hirsanu to the discos if they wanted to. taxi a pound or two or dolmus even cheaper) The breakfast was quite extensive with a hot option every day - although the kids never made it to breakfast! The best thing is the weather - which is fantastic. The beach is long and stony and the lagoon has nice smaller beaches which can get very busy. All in all a great holiday because the kids were happy and safe and we had a good time too. Beware - don't eat at the chinese attached to the hotel - worse than dreadful.Dont bother to change your money - they all take sterling. Not as cheap as I had hoped! Cons to hotel - the hotel charge card - they dont take cash at all so the bills can really add up - especially when kids have one!

  • Advice: Very pretty, but quite touristy.

Be very aware about this Hotel!

I would be very wary about booking this Hotel. I read all the great reports about the Hotel on this site. Everyone sounded fantastic, so we booked our holiday and were really looking forward to it. My daughter is 16 and likes to be able to meet new friends while on holiday. It sounded like the perfect place for us. We arrived at 6am after travelling all night, we were all very tired. We had a very warm welcome, they came and picked our cases up and took us to the reception. The staff were all very friendly. But then when they looked in book to try and find our names, we were told that we were not booked into the Hotel, They said that England had double booked us and they no room for us at all. We could not believe it; they said that we had been put in another Hotel up the road. I asked if we could use the Hotels felicities’, but they said no. We were taken up to another hotel which was very much a downgrade, it was much smaller, no entertainment, little pool, food was off a very limited menu. No gym or sauna. I needed the gym because I was training for the marathon
My daughter ending up having to eat chicken & chips every night because there was nothing else on the menu she liked.
While at this Hotel we met three other couples who had also booked into the Asena Beach Hotel and they were also told that there was no room for them. Very strange!
One couple were told that could stay one night but had to move the next day. They said the breakfast at the Asena was fantastic, this made us feel worse because ours was very basic. I would love to know how many people the Asena are booking in and then sending away, there must be some sort of back hand scam going on here.
So anyone booking the Asena Beach please be aware that you may not actually stop there and you could be moved to another Hotel.

asena beach has to be the best hotel i have ever stayed in, this is the 2nd year i have been and have already booked to go next year, i have heard many people complaning about how the aircon and electricity thingy is attached to the key, best thing to do is to get put your key on a key ring or a hair booble, and the keep your aircon thingy in its place then your room is cool for when you get in at night. bar staff very friendly, all lovely, captin hooks THE BEST restarunt in town, all the staff are from the hotel and if you book a table they will decorate it for you with flowers, it really adds that extra touch to your holiday, no other way to sum up my holiday than, THE BEST YET. will recomend it to anyone

We chose this hotel in view of the...

We chose this hotel in view of the good review comments and were really disappointed.
We booked a room with a garden view and were given a room overlooking the main noisy pedestrian route through the resort where all the shops and bars were. (Block 0) Requested a room change and given a room (124) which was apparently sometimes used by the reception staff. The room was shabby to say the least but at least it was quieter. Breakfasts were poor with limited choice. Tea from the tea urn was disgusting. Found out later that teabags were kept under the counter. Hard sell at breakfast for the various activites going on at the hotel eg BBQ and the restaurant which was overpriced.
Don't bother with the Chinese restaurant attached to the hotel - poor food and value. Insufficient sunbeds for the mnumber of people staying at the hotel, so by 10am no beds available. Had a skirt stolen from suitcase - could only have been a member of hotel staff. Emailed the hotel but they didn't comment. Ripped off several times in the resort. Won't be going back
