If you want cockroaches, ants, leaking air conditioning unit, filthy rooms and an electric shock whilst having a shower COME TO HOTEL TOFINIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Me and my friend who are both aged 18, wanted a partying holiday in Ayia Napa for 10 days. As soon as we arrived at the hotel we didnt know how we could survive the 10 days of our stay.
We didnt except a 5* hotel and to be waited on hand and foot, however we did except a decent basic hotel to use there facilities in the day time and sleep in at night. This hotel is below average and if it was a British hotel it would have been shut down years ago, due to health and safety.
There are numerous problems with this hotel;
*There was ants on our work surfaces so we didnt cook once, we ate out.
*Cockroaches in our bed.
*Electrical switch actually inside the shower!
*Toilet flush was broken.
*Lightening in all rooms was very low
*Step leading from the bedroom to the balcony was broken and had lots of stones next to it.
*The air conditioning unit was leaking and had a side of the unit which was hanging off. We also had to sleep with a temperature of 17 degrees for a few days as they hadnt got a remote so we ended up ill. After complaining numerous times we got a remote but then the air conditioning unit broke.
*The furniture in the bedroom was flaking
*The restaurant decor is very old, cheap and unwelcomeing. The food at the restaurant tasted awlful and very artifical.
*staff very unhelpful, rude and basically didnt care if we complained or hated the hotel.
We complained numerous times and they said we could change rooms, the room was excatly the same just a little bigger so we decided not to, as the size of the room wasnt the problem it was the appliances that were broken.
If you are looking for a clubbing holiday like we were and are among the same age i wouldnt recommend this hotel, however good the price is. It is also a 15/20 minute walk away from the main clubs and bars which annoyed a lot of people our age who were also staying at the hotel.
There is only one nice thing to say about this hotel and that is our cleaner ERIN was the sweetest, nicest person in the hotel. Apart from the ants and cockroaches she did keep our room looking very clean.

me and my boyfriend stayed here in June, we wanted somewhere that was close to the centre but far enough to be able to sleep at night without getting woken up! we are only in our 20's but like to party and have a good night's sleep. After reading some reviews we were unsure! 50% said they would stay here the other 50% said they wouldn't.. well I would certianly stay again!! clean rooms that were cleaned every day, big massive pool and a place to eat. Pool area was very clean and there was a beach 5 minutes away from the hotel and 2 supermarkets - one latched onto Tofinis appartments and one over the road. The hotel doesn't really have much for you to do, there's a place to eat and a bar to drink but besides that oh and the big massive pool it's really just a place to sleep and get dressed and to have a dip in the pool on returning home in the afternoon. Bathroom was very clean also. Overall place to stay very clean and a 20 minute walk to the centre of Aya Nappa x

For those of you who are not sure about going Ayia Napa please read on........Me and my partner went here as a last min deal at the end of May 2008. We had been searching for wks for a cheap last min deal for somewhere that was going to be hot and cheap enough. As a last resort, I found the Tofinis Apts in Cyprus Ayia Napa. My partners first thought was- No way im not going there as it will be full of RnB and all that! How wrong was he. I totally converted him. He loved it, we both loved it. It was red hot!! The apartments were clean and the staff were really friendly. There is a maid who cleans your room every day you are there and you have new sheets 2-3 times a week. Our room was massive and had a good sized kitchen/living area. We had a perfect sea view and a good sized balcony too. The pool is good sized and it was pretty empty as we didnt go in high season so I can imagine it getting a little crowded in the summer months. We were only a five min walk from the beach which bought us on to the top end of the beach which went in a cove shape. It was beautiful and the sea was lovley and warm! The only downfall I would say was the long walk into town. It was very peaceful where we were which was good as we were out of the hustle and bustle but to walk into town it was a good 20mins or so. Not so bad walking down the hill, but walking back up the hill every day certainly took its toll. However there is a good supermarket halfway down where you can get your food really cheap if your self catering so try not buy from the supermarket thats attached to the hotel as you'll pay a fortune. The town is excellent, but keep your wallet and purses close as my fellas wallet got pinched from a zipped up pocket on his combats!!!! It only put a dampner on the holiday for a day or so but apart from that we didnt want to come home. We are already looking to book ready for next year. You wont be dissapointed!

i stayed at tofinis apts in ayia napa for the first time. the apts are basic but very clean and spacious the cleaners are in most days and bed linen and towels changed every two days. the staff are very friendly you couldnt get nicer. they go out of the way to help you. the food is fantastic but seems dear cos of the euro, bring back the cypriot pound. the only thing was a crowd from newcastle spoilt it. it was noisy and we couldnt get sleeping for naked prats in the pool. other than that a good stay all round.

Apartments need updating desperately. However the general facilities (pool etc) were fantastic. Food was the best in Ayia Napa! Situated on the edge of the resort it is quiet and quite a wee walk down into the square. No TV/entertainment in the apartment itself but large screens in the reception area. Wouldn't recommend for a romantic get-away due to the standard of the accommodation/single beds etc. However the views were fantastic. Staff more than helpful and professional.
Be aware that air conditioning is payable locally at a cost of £3.50 CPY PER DAY!!

Myself and 2 friends stayed in the tofinis apartments for 2 weeks from the 4th july 2007. I would consider tofinis to be the best accommodation i have stayed in. I cannot complain about anything it was clean, peaceful and friendly.
The room consisted of a bedroom with twin beds air con (which gets very very cold... which is what you need), 2 dressing tables with mirrors, therefore there was no waiting on a mirror when trying to get ready (particulary ideal for the ladies). Along with this the bedroom was very spacious with enough wardrobe room to put all your clothes and other things in. The bathroom had both a shower and a bath which was rather big, again very clean and spacious. The main room included a kitchen area with fridge, toaster, kettle, etc. Also within the main room was a dining table and chairs, some sitting chairs and the third bed. Again a very spacious room. The bedroom and main room both had a door that led out onto the balcony, which was nice to chill out on before going out, particulary if you had an inland view of the pool, bar, beach, etc.
The apartment itself had an indoor steak restaurant and an outdoor restaurant, located next to the bar. The reception was 24 hours in which you could leave your key with them if you didnt fancy taking it out with you on a night. The reception area also provided safe boxes, internet and telephones.
The pool area was very clean, and the pool itself was very big. We loved the fact that no matter what time you went to chill out by the pool there was always sunbeds and umbrellas available. We usually spent most days round the pool as it was nice and breezy, due to being located on an hill. The beach was literally a 5 min walk outside the apartment- if that.
The staff were excellent, very welcoming and friendly throughout the holiday, always at your service. Also on a night its very peaceful as the staff don't tolerate any noise, and had a security guy (brijesh aka ghandi) on guard overnight.
Overall staying in tofinis apartments made our holiday one of the best holidays ever, i would definately return to ayia napa and stay in these apartments.

This hotel was very good. I enjoyed staying there and didn’t want to leave. The staff were excellent. Yuri always put smile on people's faces. The pool was nice to jump in after a hot day.
From our room you could look out on to the Beach, where you could watch the water sports. The hotel was not far away from the bars and clubs which was ideal for us party people. I would highly recommend going back to Tofinis.
Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Apartments could do with a little updating, but if you are just looking for somewhere to get your head down tofinis is the place. Very well maintained grounds and pool is five star, cleaners and staff very friendly good food and prices, no need to leave the complex every thing you need is at hand.
We had a fantastic time and are ready to spend our next holiday at tofinis. Thanks to all the staff for making us feel so welcome. Job well done. Steve, sue and ashley.

I recently went to the tofinis hotel with my boyfriend on a last minute deal and had a brilliant holiday we will be booking earlier next year so we can go back next year for sure.
The pool was excellent at 25m and the staff were fantastic from the maintenance man to the manager jimmy, especially the bar staff mark yuri andre at night and metre during the day, they all really made the holiday from the warm hellos everyday and never forgetting how you take your drink.
The views were fantastic and the breeze was great for the constant heat. The hotel bar is very cheap and the owners have a lovely restaurant across the road that serves excellent food at a very good price. Although the hotel is on a slight hill there is a supermarket attached to the hotel and it is an enjoyable walk to the centre and taxis are cheap.
We loved this hotel and would encourage anyone to give it a try.

Had a great holiday, good location but accommodation very poor. Urgently needs updating and refurbished, dirty in some areas of living accommodation especially bathroom and kitchen. No lift.......no offer to help with suitcases.....the third bed was a plastic sofa bed, had to pay additional cost for air conditioning, travel agents charged high cost with no details of the problems we encountered ie no lift and air conditioning.
We noted the tariffs the apartments cost which were very low yet Thomas cooks invoice was 4 times the room tariff price??? The rep for Libra was rude and unhelpful projected a poor image for the company.
However the hotel staff were lovely and the pool was nice, we did get moved to a ground floor apartment on request. The restaurant was lovely with fantastic food especially for vegetarians. Apartments situated in quiet area good location as short walk to night life if you wanted that and short distance to beach, if you booked direct with the apartments you would get a very cheap deal with out exorbitant add on costs of travel agents but specify a ground floor apartment, not all rooms have good views either.

I had been to Ayia Napa before a couple of years ago and stayed in Electra village although this was more expensive and a higher star rate than Tofinis I would much rathergo to Tofinis again.
I went on this holiday at the end of June 2011 it is the best holiday i have ever been on. The staff at Tofinis are very freindly especially Tony and the cleaner, we would begin our night sat down at the bar talking to Tony and the other bar staff they made us feel very welcome and the food was delicious and not expensive. The apartments were cleaned everyday but only if you wanted them to be, the pool was cleaned also everyday.
there are two shops close by one attached to Tofinis and one just across the road. Although Tofinis seems a bit of a walk away from the main square it really only takes 10 minutes and its a nice walk. There is also a beach right near Tofinis which is beautiful with lovely sand.
Although people see Ayia Napa as a place for teenagers, Tofinis is also a place where you can go with family.
This was the best holiday EVER and was made even better by all the Staff at Tofinis and the friends we made there. HOPE YOU DECIDE TO GO TO TOFINIS, i cant wait to go back next year!
