Kilaguni Serena Lodge Hotel

We stayed here our second night during our 8 day trip. We had picked the place for it's watering holes and from the reviews on tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. We are photographers and were able to capture several animals coming to the watering holes to drink. We also liked the free entertainment the monkeys provided right outside our room. The rooms were basic but clean and the staff was very polite.

We stayed at Kilaguni lodge on the last night of our safari. Rooms were great with mosquito nets around beds. We had a six course meal served to us at the table. The views were stunning with Mount Kilamanjaro in the distance. There was all sorts of wildlife visiting the waterholes about 20 feet from the dining area. If you get the opportunity go on the armed guided walk in the afternoon.

WOW!! What a place-absolutely fantastic. Stayed here on our second night whilst on Safari. Surreal!!. Lodge has a very relaxing upmarket ambience and the terrace looks out over the most beautiful scenery-top that with a waterhole that attracts animals by their hordes- we sat there past midnight watching the activity just didnt want to go to bed!!. The food at the Lodge is very good although we found the drinks to be more expensive than in the UK. Rooms all had wonderful views of the landscape. Wished we had stayed there longer.Only downfall... more
