What a fab 2 weeks we had an incredible time at this wonderful hotel we spent most of it laughing and enjoying ourselves .The staff were helpful and accomodating nothing was too much trouble for them and everything was done with a smile . The food was fab , rooms spacious and clean and the pool was to die for .The swim up bar was great and the service was speedy we never had to wait for a drink. One of the best ;aughs we had was haggling in the shops the Egyptians enjoy it and we had great fun doing it . Naama Bay is a taxi ride away expect to pay about 5pounds english money for a good 20 minute drive but dont have the airconditioning on or the music as they charge extra for this . My friends and i would return tomorrow if we didnt have to work it was a fab holiday all round 10 out of 10
great hotel
from moomins80
The hotel has recently been finished and was lovely - clean spacious, great services. As we were on the other side of the road from the sister hotel Tropicana Grand Azure we didnt get all the other tourists passing through on the way to the beach so was lovely and quiet. I wasnt expecting much on the food front as we were all inclusive but was very pleasently suprised as there was a great choice for all meals and the pool bar snack were good too. The chinese and italian resteraunt had just opened when we arrived and was also very tasty (I recommend the chinese curried beef!!). All the staff we polite and curteous and would had a laugh with you, and if any problems arose were very helpful. The pool area was spacious with plenty of beds and a towel service, the pool itself was great with shallow areas and deeper areas for proper swimming although if you're planning to sit at the pool bar on an evening be sure to take some mosquito repelent. Overall a fantastic relaxing holiday would definatly go again.
Would Defo use again!!

We stayed at the hotel from 25th sept to 10th oct and had a fantastic time! previously we have stayed at the riu hotels in the caribbean, which are great so after reading some of the earlier reviews of this hotel, we really did not know what to expect . . . . . on arrival at hotel 1st impression was the hotel was clean and bright and obviously well looked after. the lobby looked fantastic instantly the staff made us feel welcome laughing and joking with us as we had our wristbands put on. we were then shown to our room which was on the ground floor with a pool view. the room itself was very clean, modern, spacious but no tea/coffee facilities so take a kettle if you like a brew! the 'maids' which are all male come and clean your room everyday, change towels and bedding. our maid 'ayman' was great such a lovely guy who was always leaving us towel sculptures and even folded our clothes up and tidyied up our toiletries.on a couple of occasions we left jewellery and mobile phones out whilst we popped out and they were untoutched when we got back. its worth leaving a tip as these guys work so hard for you. the pool very big and clean with a 2mtr deep part in the middle so you can have a good swim! plenty of sun loungers but you have to be up at 6.30am if you want one! the towel guys dont start giving towels out until 7.30am so people were getting up and laying on the loungers(the main culprits were english!!) until he gave out the towels, these towels then secured your lounger so then you could go back to bed or go for breakfast! the food in the main resturaunt was ok but very repetative. we found breakfast and dinner good but the evening meal was a let down just the same things night after night(beware of the chicken from the bbq outside as mine was still raw inside!). the staff were great! they could not do enough for you! really nice people and they seem to really respect the english. one waiter was showing us different magic tricks he could do. these guys work from 6 in the morn till 10/11 at night 7 days a week for one month then get a week 'vacation' off. they earn around 20p an hour so giving a tip here an there does not go a miss . one we spoke to had not got finished until 4in the morn then was back at work at half6!! crazy! a tip for fellas is that long trousers are expected to be worn in all the resturaunts on an evening. i got politely turned away one night as i was wearing 3/4 trousers. there are two a la carte resturaunts (chinese&italian) that can be booked through reception. you can use each resturaunt once each during your stay if you want to use them again you have to pay? but there is a lovely chinese resturaunt just down the road the food is excellent and pretty cheap( a meal for 3 plus drinks came to £24!) the food in the a la carte hotel resturaunts is also good and makes a nice change to the meal in the main resturaunt. the beach can be accessed through the sister hotel across the road the grand azure either by shuttle bus or land train the hotel provides free of charge just remember your beach pass from reception. the beach has a jetty which is massive about a 10min walk to get to the sea. the snorkelling is a must!! up close and personal with the fish. one tip is to buy some surf shoes from the 24/7 supermarket next to the grand azure (roughly £3 a pair!). one thing that badly lets the hotel down is the animation team! they are in a word 'crap'!! they do not cater for the english at all. they are not egyptian people which i found strange as some of the waiters could do a better job! they are much more entertaining. 'Ayman' on the pool bar is a right laugh. on a night there is alot of mosquitoes outside and some get in your room. go to one of the shops and buy a tin of 'OFF' (egyptian insect repellant) fantastic stuff, works a treat. alot of the repellant sprays from the uk dont touch them. also worth buying is a tin of 'raid' for your room unless you have a plug in. alot of people suffered with upset stomach (pharoahs revenge) including me! again nothing from the uk will touch it! imodium etc. go to the pharmacy and buy 'ANTINAL' roughly about £3 this stuff is amazing day after taking it i was ok and i had been bad. others who had also took it said the same! there are some good excursions on offer we did a few they were fantastic but the 'dinner and stars' was amazing! do this if you can! try to pay in english money and not egyptian or you will get ripped off with the exchange rate! overall we had a fantastic time at the club azure and would defo go back. the weather is hot. guarenteed sun every day we did not see one cloud in the sky!! oh one more thing! as for the disruption with the building work. there is no disruption you do not see or hear a thing! any questions feel free to ask :)

I have been a regular Tripadvisor reader for many years, yet it is only now that I have felt the need to add a review on here, and that is due to the unecessary negative feedback I have read about this fabulous hotel. As a person who takes 3-4 holidays a year, it is quite a recommendation to say that I have just enjoyed my best ever holiday at this hotel/resort. I can not express in words how great the staff were - myself and two friends returned yesterday and we all have stomach pains - not from food poisoning, but from laughing so much everyday - the staff at this hotel really warm to you if you are there to enjoy yourself and have a laugh - and that is because they think the English are great. The trips on offer are great - not to be missed are :- the stars at night and the red sea boat trip (which includes snorkelling) both are fantastic - but that is only if you can bear to tear yourself away from this fabulous pool and hotel. I don't know if it's just me and my friends who have the right attitude, or the wonderful staff who work at this hotel who made our holiday so fantastic - but when I read some of the reviews on here "get a life" springs to mind! - go to Sharm El Sheikh/ Tropicana Azure Club with a fun loving spirit and you will be rewarded with the same in return (at least from the staff at this hotel). Ok down to the nitty gritty :- Food - bloody lovely lots of choice (and I'm a vegetarian) Drinks - free all day (can't say fairer than that) Rooms - clean, spanking new, large ( 1st holiday were I haven't missed my own bed) Pool - fab Sunshine - all day Staff - can not be faulted and deserve medals (I would not not be able smile after a 12 hour shift at a rude tourist shouting BEER NOW!) Two weeks here cost £615 yet was worth double that - I would go back tomorrow if I could but instead I have to get up each day and go to work in the rain and drizzle! Maybe some of the complainers on here prefer that - takes all sorts I suppose!

Hotel is nice, You can see that they are really takin' care of the quality of stuff, food etc. Was only one week there, but it was good time. Animation team is poor, honestly only children's and very drunk people had fun with they program like aqua gym, or dancing lessons. Pool is very nice. Only one problem is that, to get to the beach You have to go about 15 minutes threw the Grand Tropicana Hotel.
Fantastic Holiday

Reading the bad reviews i wondered if they were talking about the same place that i went to, true the hotel was not finished but i never experienced any noise from building work and my room was right by the new Amphitheatre, when all the work is finished it will be great. We shall certainly be going back, the food was excellent something for everybody such a good selection and always well cooked and hot and the puddings well mmmmmmm.Definitly one of the best pools ive ever been in and the pool boys so helpful always ready to help you. The rooms were lovley and spotlessly clean, new linen and towels dailey a few times i had a heart ,swan and a dog on my bed made from the towels what a lovley touch. The staff i cannot praise them enough from the waiters, cleaners and reception, i know they work long hours for little money so how can they be so friendley and smiling all the time maybe its the thought of a tip at the end of your holiday belie.ve me you dont mind giving it when they have looked after you so well. On the downside the animation team tried there best but i think a little more experience is needed. If you are a beach person there is a free bus or train to take you or it is about a 10 mins walk We did go on a couple of outings to Sharks Bay, St Catherines Monastery the old markets in Sharm which were all great but if you want a chillin out holiday you cant beat Tropicana Azure we met some great people hello to you all you know who you are and a special hello and thank you to Rammy and Ehab twoof the best waiters(and they were a few) at the Tropicana. We experienced a little upset at the begining of the holiday as excel went bust the day after we got there but everything was sorted by the staff and reps and we were told to enjoy our holiday the only thing differant was that we had to fly to Gatwick and not Bristol just tooka bit longer to get home didnt spoil a fantastic holiday. Stayed at the club azure from 25 Sept until 2nd October. The food was plenty of and pipping hpt. The chefs even cooked your eggs in front of you fresh. You had pool cards to get your towels for the pool but did not use them. The entertainment was very poor and if you have kids the entertainment is a waste of time. The staff are fabulous and cannot do enough for you. They are genuine people. The all inclusive option is a must and the drinks were great. Just up the road is kfc, macdonalds and if you phone up they deliver to the hotel. Macdonald two combo meals for £7 Sterling. If you are doing trips I cam guarantee Catherines Monnastry, The submarine trip to Sharm Maya and the Bedouin Dinner with the stars. Well worth the money. There is talk of building work on the complex and an area is sheeted off but was not disturbed. The downfall for me and my partner was the tour operator, as we should of been picked up at 5.45 evening time to fly at 21.00 to cardiff but no bus or rep came. This could of been disasterous as we could of been left stranded in egypt and missed or flights home. This was with Thomsons, so check your homeward flight times. Ongoing dispute about this at the moment. A very clean hotel with fab food and staff like Hassan, Hani. The beach is about a 20 minute walk away through the Grand Azure accross the road. There you can take a road train to the beach. However the beach tide does not come in and you have to walk a mile along a jetty and buy some coral shoes before you go, as you would cut your feet on the coral otherwise as you enter the sea. The hotel shop is a rip off so buy your gifts elsewhere. Regards Greg/Wendy - South Wales
Excellent all rounder
from jaffamate
The room's were clean, walk in shower and room service were excellent. The staff generally were exceptional. I had a great time in the hotel with special mention to the food on offer in the all inclusive deal. There was alot of choice at all sittings' with chefs on hand to cook fresh food on demand. I cannot fault this hotel really. The only downside is that I could not use the gym in the sister hotel across the road after 5pm.
Needs to have more experience

Went to this hotel 15th - 22nd September with some disagreements withThomsons before we went ie the beach not been where they said it was when we booked it and very annoyed we had an elderly parent with health problems and a young child so as soon as we found out it was not on the beach we asked to be moved but would of had to pay an extra £500 to move to the hotel across the road and as we had already paid £3500 for the holiday as there was seven of us so we stayed put and have on going complaint with thomsons and the trading standards, We have already been to sharm el sheikh twice before staying at the Concorde el salam and the Baron palms resort so we knew what kind of standard to expect as they were to very good hotels the Concorde been the best, The main thing that lacks the Tropicana azure club is the facilites for children, not on beach as stated, no mini club as stated and that will not even be built by next May as we have friends who are going and they have had a letter, the childrens club was not open, there was no games room, as our children were four, fifteen, and seventeen, through the day it was the swimming pool that had to keep them entertained and at night well all they had was to watch the entertainment there was only a mini disco on the once the ampitherte is not finished yet so the entertainment is on near the reception but was not suitable for children, only could go to the beach once as had an eldery parent with us who had limited walking yes there was a beach bus but you could only go and come back at certain times, The food was fine plenty of choice also Italian and Chinese restaurant you could use them once each Chinese was the best, Bedrooms were big and spacious, The hotel and the grounds were spotless, we got up to get sunbeds at seven thirty as probably not enough sunbeds,The hotel is fine for couples but not families with children which was promised in the first brochure and also on the website, we did have a good time but would not use the hotel again due to the lack of facilites for children
HOTEL WAS FAB BUT ONCE OUTSIDE THE "COMPOUND" ANOTHER STORY
from Sharmless
Boyfriend and I have just returned from two week holiday at this hotel. The hotel is fab. Very clean, lovely rooms, and even though the restaurant was "canteen-like" the food was very good with a good selection of food for all tastes. Staff great and helpful. Shame that they are not paid a decent wage and rely heavily on tips from holidaymakers. Was mis-informed by travel agent and Tropicana website about it being a "beach" hotel. To get to the beach you have to either cross a dual carriageway and take the track down beside the Tropicana Grand Azure (the more superior sister hotel), or take a free mini-bus for which you will need a ticket from the guest relation desk every time you use the service. At all times you must wear a wristband otherwise you will not be allowed to snorkle off the jetty off the Topicana Grand Azure's beach or be entitled to use their beach bar. Sharm El Sheikh is a ribbon of hotel compound developments hugging the Red Sea. No thought has been taken as to what goes on between the hotel compounds and this is usually left as rubbish tips or building sites. Locals tout their sad looking camels and taxi drivers are more than happy to try and rip you off asking for £50 for a 50 Egyptian Pound ride (equivalent to £5)! Red Sea is full of marvellous sights and we would recommend snorkelling and diving. But I won't be going back. GLW
This will be my 3rd visit this year to the same hotel. It is out of this world. Relaxing by the pool, having a lovely massage & be waited on for 2 whole weeks is bliss. I am taking my nephew with me this year & know from the minute he gets there he will want to go back,... more
