Jerez with a modern touch
from Nana_H
We arrived at the hotel and were warmly welcomed at the reception. It is an unusual hotel for the "Jerez" area where old meets new. The room was clean yet a little too modern to my likings. I would have preferred something "cosier". Breakfast was fabulous. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. The only thing I regret is that the hotel doesn't have a parking area (our car car was towed away...).
A boutique jewel
from markfour
This hotel is a rarity in Spain: a small hotel with a wonderful (and daring) restaurant and top notch service, in a beautiful mansion that has been renovated and furnished with avant garde design. Definitely stay here if you are in Jerez.
Warm Welcome
from Dutch65
Not easy to find, but with a city map and asking for directions once, we made it. Great location with its own parking. During check-in we were surprised with a glass of Sherry. Staff is very friendly, the hotel lobby is like an oasis with most interesting decor and everything is very spacious and airy. Our room was very nice with all sorts of extras. Too bad we did not find out about the hotel`s restaurant until the second evening, when we had a wonderful dinner from a very innovative menu with most attentive service.
Perfect Palacio
from MarieUK
We (husband & I, 34 & 29 respectively) have just returned from a long weekend in Jerez for the motoGP. People from all over the world come for this race at the circuit (about 6km outside of Jerez), the place has a wonderful atmosphere. The roads can be a nightmare around Jerez during this event and hotels are a lot more costly, so avoid if your not an avid fan. My husband is, but I am not, yet still I enjoyed every minute of this trip. Arrival - Firstly getting from Jerez airport to the centre of Jerez is straight forward. We could see the hotel, but parking around it was a nightmare, the hotel do have the facility to park at the back of their hotel so a big tip (which we wished we had known in advance) don't spend ages driving round Jerez getting lost in the narrow streets, pull up outside and tell them you are checking in and need to park, they will then come out and open the barrier to allow you access. This does cost, but so does all parking in the area. The hotel itself - fantastic, first impressions were great, the check in service was swift and a nice touch was the glass of sherry whilst the paper work was being sorted. Staff were so helpful and cheery (even got an email on our return to welcome us into their 'family' and hoping to see us in the future). The room itself was lovely. I think we had one of the smallest rooms in the hotel (on the 3rd floor), but it didn't matter as the furnishings were such a high quality and for the amount of time we were there it didn't impact on our stay whatsoever. The his and hers sinks, hydrotherapy bath, all were nice touches. The mini bar was filled with the usual. The entire hotel has been so well designed - a good use of space, materials, art and furnishings throughout. The glass lift looked great at night rising against the old wall. The hotel restaurant was wonderful. We booked in last minute on the Saturday night. The staff were so pleasant and helped us with our wine recommendation. Little extras were brought over throughout the meal which was an added bonus and meant we tried a variety of things we wouldn't have normally ordered. The meal itself was one of the best we have had in ages. Continental breakfast can be had in the room or in the restaurant from 8am, or sooner if you ask. From experience go and have it in the restaurant. You get a few little extras which made it much more special. The garden area is lovely, I can imagine in summer it getting a bit crowded. When the website states they have a small pool, it is more like a large tub, but sufficient to cool down in the summer heat, we didn't need to use it with it being March. Jerez - fabulous town, really quaint streets, full of character, the buildings are beautiful. There are many places to eat out, I would recommend you brush up on a little Spanish as the majority of people do not speak English. Most menus do have an English translation though. Bodegas - a must, you can't go all the way to Jerez and not experience the home of sherry. We did the Tio Pepe tour which is apparently the most organised and slick of them all, we thought it was great and well worth the money. The English speaking guide was very informative and not OTT on history, but mixed a good bit of humour in as well. We would definitely recommend this one and would also like to do the more traditional tours of the smaller sherry houses for comparison in the future. Jerez restaurants - El Patio, San Juan (apparently very good although we never found it)! Good base for exploring, near Puerto Santa Maria, Seville, Cadiz and not far from the Portuguese border. Would recommend to family and friends and would return to this hotel if we ever came back to Jerez. ENJOY!!!!
Amazing hotel
from JosieH
Chose this hotel based on tripadvisor reviews and absolutely loved it! It was one of the best hotels we've ever visited. The decor is modern and fresh with some traditional twists. The staff are friendly (although they did make us pay up front, perhaps it was because we were a bit scruffily dressed). The room was gorgeous, very modern and clean with wooden floors and a fantastic bathroom with spa bath. It felt very luxurious. and is beautifully designed. Breakfast is included in the rate and is served from 8am all day. It wasn't the sort of breakfast we were expecting, the usual pastries and bread with some surprises thrown in. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and were a little disappointed by portion sizes, you pay a lot for not very much but don't let this put you off staying here. Definitely worth a visit when in Jerez. Probably need to book in advance in high season.
Fantastic little hotel in perfect location
from Anita67
A little late in submitting this review but this was a great little find in Jerez. Reception staff extremely helpful and offered you a glass of sherry whilst checking in. Room was fab - CD player a nice touch, bathroom with double sinks and hydro bath, a bit of a luxury for the rate we were paying. Lovely patio area to sit outside. Considering it was mid November the weather was in the mid 70's and we probably saw Jerez at its best. Great cafe culture and hardly any tourist, wonderful. Fragole Infinity Cafe(walk out of the hotel and turn left and is about a 2 minute walk if that) sell the best baked raspberry cheesecake I have ever tasted. Would recommend this hotel if you are contemplating going to Jerez.
One of the best hotels in Spain
from ulpa
Location in the city of Jerez could not be better, more than friendly receptionist (+ a glass of sherry while waiting for the key), fantastic room (no. 1), great awarness of us, the clients, every time we passed the reception (OK, we were'nt that many guests), wonderful 'designer' breakfast, no big, but enough to keep things going until tapas-time (lunch), fair price for the quality. What could you problably ask for more. Only one 'complaint': we did'nt have time to have diner in hotel restaurant. We do that next time. And there will be a next time.
Charming little city
from catsailuk
We have just spent a 3 night break in this lovely place; it will not be our last. Apart from a surly taxi driver who took us from the station to our hotel everyone was charming and helpful. We did the tourist trips and enjoyed them, especially the riding school. Stayed at the Hotel Pallacio Garvey in a junior suite which included a spa bath, it was very welcome after a days walking in the city. This has been the most pleasant hotel stay that I have ever experienced and I spend a lot of my working life in hotels. We can only urge you to try this lovely city which is full of beauty and friendliness and if you can afford it, this wonderful caring hotel.
Palatial
from juslovinandalucia
Wow! on entering and Wow! on leaving three days later. Great Hotel. Friendly check-in from the staff, really large and comfortable room. Situation perfect and central for discovering Jerez (and for returning to after trying all that sherry!!!). Cannot comment on the restaurant as we always ate out. We live in Marbella (couple of ex-pat brits) and this was a great weekend away. We try and do this 4 or 5 times a year to get to know Spain better and Jerez was a really lovely surprise as was the hotel. Would definitely recommend and will return. Great website by the way - new to us, although we had heard of you somewhere.

The hotel was superbly decorated with very modern furniture. On arrival the staff were very friendly and greeted us with a complimentary sherry. The room was spacious and modern and included a Jacuzzi bath. Breakfast was nicely presented and tasty too. Shops, bars, and... more
