we had a good holiday, euro napa is a very basic self catering appartment, we had no kettle or saucepans this wasnt a problem for us as we eat out all the time the lack of a kettle was a bit of a pain but we improvised with the teapot that was there, all the staff were very friendly and helpful, the apartment was cleaned every day,the appartment are a very short walking distance from shops, bars, restaurants and banks the is a bus service that is very good too.we found all the people so very friendly and helpful there this was the first time we have been to cyprus but we would definately go back again. dee

We arrived at Euronapa at around 1am to find that 3 of my friends didn't appear to be booked into the hotel - wether this was the hotel's fault or freedomdirect we'll never know. Me and 3 friends were told our room was on 'Block D' (which sounds like prison for a start) and had to carry our suitcases up two flights of stairs. When we got to our room we were very disappointed with our 'kitchen' which doesn't really deserve that as a name, we didn't use it once as it looked a bit stoneage and there were no batteries in the fire alarm.

My friends we a little bit horrified, but to be fair i've stayed in some pretty bad places myself so it seemed averagey to me. I think the room worked out at about £10 a night each so you can't really complain as the bedclothes were clean and the apartment in general seemed pretty clean, just very basic.

What we did have a problem with was the air con. In the apartment we had to pay 5euros a night for air con in the living room, and the 5euros a night for it in the bedroom too. On arrival we weren't told this, and so me and my friend who stayed in the bedroom spent the night tossing and turning boiling hot. The next night then we decided to get air con...but this time it just didn't work. We complained on a number of occasions and they receptionists kept promising someone would come and fix it, however this never happened. A few men came in, looked at it and left promising somebody else later in the week. In the end we realised nothing was going to be done about it and just accepted the free air con they had given us in the living room.

Apart from this, and the fact that I had ants crawling all over my bed (I deffo pulled the short straw) I found the accomodation bearable and probably good for the money we paid. Was just annoying to have to keep complaining and get nowhere in the end.

We also found that most of the receptionists were either rude or unhelpful (particularly an old blonde woman with awful make-up, VERY rude!).

The pool area was nice and clean and the bar at the bottom of it was good too. I would say t location of the hotel was the best part about it. Very quiet during the night, but literally two mins walk from all the bars and clubs. Definitely a good place for young people who won't be spending much time in their rooms. Despite not being perfect, it did not stop us all having an amazing time in Ayia Napa.

i have just got back from a week holiday in ayia napa!! we stayed at the euronapa which i found to be ok considering what i had heard about it before i went. it was in a great location just 5 mins from the square. the cleaners came in everyday and changed the towels and bed sheets every 2 days. the bar was ok for a few drinks before heading out but the snack bar was horrible and a waste of money! the whole time we were there i saw 1 cockroach on our balcony. the nightlife was better than i had ever imagined and i loved it so much i am planning to return there again next year. i would not recomend these apartments to familys. there was 7 of us all together and we all agree we would defo go back to the euronapa!!!!

We went to Euro Napa Hotel Apartments for first time on June 2008 with my for a three days holiday. The room was big and comfortable. The first day of our stay we found a dead cockroach in our bathroom (the cleaning woman had just finished the cleaning of the room!). We made a complain in the receptionist and she came her self and clean the bathroom. Also the chairs and the table in the balcony were very dirty and we clean them ourselves. In our three day visit in Euro Napa we have seen many cockroaches to fly in our heads. In the evening we try to take a bath after our pool swimming and we relished that we didn’t have cold water. They told us that they are going to fix it but we didn’t take a bath until next day. The pool was very nice and clean, but the restaurant in the pool area was very expensive. For 1 small bottle of water, 1 orange juice (not fresh) and 2 cheaps we pay €9,50. When we return in our room and after turn on the air-condition (we pay €10 for each day for the air-conditioning) we relished that the air was hot. But the most important it was when in our last night in Euro Napa, at 2 o’clock that we went for sleep, we hear some intense noises inside central air-condition units and we believe that they were ruts because our friends saw the previous day some ruts in the garden. We forced to cover the air-conditioning holes with some towels so to can sleep carefree. These were the most awful holidays in our live and Euro Napa was the most terrible hotel I’ve ever been.

Basically this is the kind of place you should go if you want to 'rough it' on holiday!! Our room was fairly decent but the bathroom was tiny and flooded on several occasions! Our air conditioning didnt work from day 1 and an engineer was called but did nothing! We demanded a fan and had 2 before it would work..My friend actually got ill from the heat of the room which was actually unbearable!! To top it all of the hotel actually lost our passports but found them after they realised they had misplaced them in the wrong room numbers' box! The location was between the centre of town and Nissi beach which is an absolute must - this beach is paradise. The hotel was far enough from the centre to be quite relaxed but close enough to walk (not in the day though - far too hot) and a taxi was the equivilent of about £4. The pool bar and pool was quite nice but a bit of a struggle to get a sun lounger. All in all I would not go back to this hotel again after the stress of the air conditioning fiasco!!

Euronapa was a great apartment to stay in. we went as a group of 20 year old girls and had a wicked time!!!!

The rooms were clean. The cleaners came everyday. They changed the towels every other day. The cleaners were also really friendly. Barstaff were really happy n friendly. The only moody staff were the girls on reception! There is a really funny guy who is 'security', he is about 5'2 but thinks hes the main man.....he swims in his pants in the dark. we caught him one night! but hes funny..lol.

The only reason we gave 8/10 instead of full marks are two reasons:

-the air conditioning, which we didnt mid paying for, DID NOT WORK! don't waste your money on it. get a fan instead! they were loads better (but they run out quickly so try getting one as soon as u get there), we used it as a hairdryer aswell, as we forgot to bring ours! hehe.

-the location of the hotel from the clubs and bars was a bit of a walk. (10minutes)..girls when you've got heels on, and its hot, ten mins can seem a lifetime! don't think it would be a problem for guys though! on a plus note..taxi's were everywhere!! THEY asked YOU if you needed a taxi! so dont worry about flagging one down. and they were only 3CYP.

Despite what u might read on other reviews about cockroaches, you've got to understand it isnt because the room isn't clean, its because your in cyprus! and your bound to get them coming into your room! as long as u keep your doors shut when the lights are switched on, you shouldnt have much of a problem. Every hotel in the country would get them so u dont escape the problem wherever you go. we only had two throughout our two week stay. one as soon as we got into the room as we arrived!haha. and then a MASSIVE FLYING ONE! that one of the reps killed for us as they heard us screaming!! hehe.

Pool is an average size and is clean. there was always a lively atmosphere around the pool which was good! definatly go to nissi beach and try it out. u might have to get a taxi though..bout 10 min walk if not.

The nightlife was amazing!! woooo. Definatly got to try club ice for all tastes!! if your into garage music, marinella bar and bizzarre are probably your best bets. carwash is more for those who like 'cheesy music' and 70's etc. There are a few fun places like flintstones bar, scenior frog etc.

pizza huts and macdonalds etc all open throughout the night so you've got your end of night drunken food!

the whole place is reasonably priced. not really cheap, but no where near as bad as people make out. probebly the same price as home, but u get free drinks thrown in, especially in a large group! ie..few bottle of shots for just going in the bar and ordering one drink!

The reps do try and persuade u to come in, but no where near as forceful as other places! they are more laid-back.

We definalty recommend staying at euronapa...only think we would change is to make it a little bit closer!!!!!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Euronapa for two weeks in August. The first thing we saw on arrival in our room was a cockroach. The lock on the balcony doors was broken which on closer inspection was due to someone breaking in obviously at an earlier date. The tiles were off in the bathroom showing plaster and the apartment was dirty. My boyfriend took off his trainers, walking round in white trainer socks which were black from the floor. This was probably due to the dirty mop and bucket which was outside our door and looked as though it had been used to clean the whole of the apartment blocks...with the same water!

We went down to reception to notify them about the doors and the cockroach and to ask for the air conditioning to be switched on. We were told by the rude receptionist that she would notify maintenance about the door which we also had to wait in for and that we would have to pay £3CY (nearly £4) a day for the air con!!

I have been going to Cyprus for the last 7 years, sometimes twice a year, stopping in Protaras and Aiya Napa. Although brochures always state you will have to pay for air con I have never once had to pay. She then said we couldn't have it on because the doors were broken so it wouldn't work. This was in fact rubbish as it only didn't work when the doors were open, not unlocked!

We spoke to the Rep after waiting 3 hours for maintenance who said he would sort it, 2 hours later it was fixed and the first day ruined waiting about!

Nothing was done about the cleanliness or the cockroach by the staff... luckily a colony of ants came to eat the cockroach and guess what no one did anything about the ants either. The air con was a joke, took a couple of hours to work and even then was not very cold. We were disgusted at having to pay for it, not because we shouldn't have to but because it was some vent in the wall which looked liked it needed cleaning and hadn't been updated since the 80's!

But as it was over 100 outside we needed something to cool us down a bit. The staff quite honestly are rude apart from a young man who works the night shift on reception and in the bar. He was helpful, friendly and chatty.

We're not snobs we just expect a clean, safe room and a little bit of courtesy from staff when we've worked all year and paid for a holiday for two weeks. We stayed at Takkas Apartments at Easter which is a lower classification the Euronapa, but in comparison Takkas was a palace compared to Euronapa.

The pool was decent with plenty of beds and the man who worked in the pool bar was also a nice guy.

I'll always go back to Aiya Napa, it's a wicked place, good bars, clubs, people etc but never to Euronapa, it needs refurbishing and the reception staff need some training in customer relations!!

I stayed in the Euronapa...

I stayed in the Euronapa apartments in Ayia Napa with my boyfriend for 1 week in June.

This was the first time I had been away without my parents and didn’t know what to expect. These apartments have their own website so I checked this out before I left, I also looked on Google maps (link on the Thomson website) to get an idea of the location of these apartments.

We had an awful through-the-night flight so I didn’t really have a first impression of the hotel, I just wanted to go straight to bed though the reception seemed very nice and clean.

When we booked the holiday, we requested a pool view, high floor, and double bed and I was surprised when we walked into the room, that we had been given all three.

The room we were staying in was a studio which is made for 2/3 people, it was the perfect size for 2 people and had a double bed, and 3 seater settee with a matching armchair, a TV, a dining table, a coffee table, a dressing table and a small kitchen area.

We also had a fridge with a built in freezer which meant we could freeze bottles of water to take out during the day. We had a small balcony which had a plastic table and chairs and we had the view of the edge of the pool. The rooms were cleaned everyday and we had our towels changed once a week.

One of the cleaners seemed nice and said hello every time we saw her but another was no so friendly and just wanted to do her job. Although there were huge bees and dragonflies and other insects outside by the pool, we never had any problems with bugs in the room during our stay.

The main problem we did encounter was the heat in the room. On arrival we received a sheet of paper which gave the prices of extra facilities and this stated that air con would cost £3 per day. We decided not to take this up but at night it was hard to sleep and the room was so hot.

We would go out and actually just leave the balcony door open so that some cooler air could get in. At the end of our stay we started to regret not getting the air con but I overheard someone from another room say that 'it makes the room like a sauna', this made us glad we didn’t waste our money.

The pool area was also quite clean and had free to use sunbeds all around the pool. In the morning it was quiet with most of the beds being available but in the afternoon they were always all taken.

There is a pool bar which does breakfast, snacks and drinks but these are quite pricey in comparison with what you can get elsewhere. Every day we encounter a man named Michael on this bar (aka Howard from the Halifax adverts!) he was very nice and said Hi every time we saw him. He would take your order from your table and wait until you had finished before he took payment.

One daytime we got 2 margarita cocktails for £1.50 each and they were probably one of the strongest drinks I'd had the whole time! My boyfriend had watched him make them and said he put loads of alcohol in! Well worth £1.50 ;)

The pool bar closes at 6 and the main bar at the front of the hotels opens at this time.

This bar has the same menu and the same cocktail offers. We would go to the bar for a first drink before we went out.

The location of this hotel is very good as it is a short distance away from the street with the pubs, senior frogs being very close and in the opinion the best place to drink! We got a yard of cocktail each for £4 with a free shot (I got sambuca and my boyfriend got baileys) and you also get free popcorn and the staff are just hilarious, they drink alcohol while the work!

The hotel is also in quite a good location as it’s not very far from the centre and you can walk to the harbour in less than 20 mins. We had a really good shop called 'Plaza' directly across the road from the back of the hotel; here we could get necessities like milk and fresh bread (they have a bakery inside) and also cheap alcohol. My boyfriend bought a bottle of 85% absinthe for only CY£7.30.

It is a long walk to Nissi Beach so I would recommend taking the bus in the height of summer as it seems even longer in the heat but there is another nice little beach behind the Tasia Maris hotel and this isn’t too far to walk.

Watch out for taxis who will try to stop you everywhere you go and ask if you need a lift, they are quite persistent as we found out while waiting for the bus to the water park!

Also the traffic is bad, it is very hard to cross the roads without being run over, they all speed, no-one indicates and the peds and quads drive on the cycle tracks!

If you like KFC, you will be very disappointed if you visit the one in Ayia Napa as it tastes nothing like back home :(

Overall, I had a very enjoyable holiday. We did something different every day. If you book with Olympic, see what excursions they have on.

We used them to get cheaper tickets for the water park and also went on a pub crawl with the reps in which you got food, a free t-shirt, free shots in every bar and free vip entry to the castle club (mind you, we weren't in there any more than 15 mins cos my boyfriend was too drunk by that time and wanted to go home!)

I would say that the Euronapa apartments are best suited to younger people and those in Ayia Napa mainly for the nightlife. There wasn’t much entertainment on in the hotel apart from a BBQ one night but we didn’t go to this and there isn't really that much for kids.

Really nice spacious apartments with everything in them except a kettle! We had done some background checking before we went and brought a travel one with us!

Satellite TV as well which was handy in the eves. Pool area nice and Snack bar on site.

Only a 5 minute walk from the main street of bars and restaurants but yet not noisy if you want an early night! Ben Sherman, Lacoste and Pizza Hut also only a five min walk so everything is real nearby. It’s about a 20 min walk to the main beach but the promenade is nice.

Would go back to Cyprus but when the country goes to hopefully Euro Currency as we lost a lot of money on the changeover. Staff nice and reception area clean too.

Went in August and it was 45 degrees without a breeze!!HOT HOT HOT! Loved every minute of it!

I visited these apartments in July last year and really enjoyed my stay.

I had no complaints about any of the staff and found the general standard of the hotel to be good.

I enjoyed using both of the bars and the pool table and the swimming pool. It was clean in our room and around the pool area.

I travelled with a friend on a self catering holiday. The room may have been fairly basic, but when I am going on holiday I find that the only time I am in my room is to sleep or get changed. I do not intend to go away and cook! It was close to some good restaurants which was handy.

The location for us was ideal, because it was very close to the main nightlife, but we were still able to have a quiet night if we chose because we couldn't hear the noise of the nightclubs in our apartment.

I can see how people may not think it is suitable for taking children because it was quite a lively place, but I didn't find myself being disturbed on the occasion that I did go to bed early!!

I would definitely stay here again and am hoping to return this summer. If I do, I will be looking up Euronapa.

Our holiday staying in Euronapa apartments was a nightmare! I must admit when I first saw the pictures it looked great oh how I was wrong! We arrived in Ayia Napa at around 8pm in there time on a Wednesday night me, my husband, and the 2 kids! That was the start of a long journey for 2 weeks! To be honest I found the receptionist quite arrogant she spoke very little English and was most unhelpful! When we got up to our apartment we opened the door and the heat just hit you! There was no air con in the living room where the 2 kids aged 14 and 15 had to sleep on sofa beds one of them was on the floor and you might as well of been lying on the floor as it was that low!

The balcony was very disappointing it was very small! My son went into go to the bathroom to find the toilet nearly over flowing with water when he flushed it, also the shower was meant to be attached to its holder, the holder was broke and the shower was lying in the bath! So later on that evening we decided we would have showers to find that there was no hot water it was absolutely freezing!

The upholstery was not very good at all! Since we had no air con for the kids sleeping area I decided I would let the reception know about this that we needed a fan for there room she said to me that’s ok but you have to pay me 1cyp per night! I thought this was ridiculous, but the kids needed it what could I do?

The following morning the rep of Libra holidays was in the hotel so I went down to reception and had a word with her, as soon as I informed her of this, and about the receptionist charging me 1cyp per night she informed me that this should not have happened that the receptionist had no right to charge me this and it was not the hotels policy!! And anyway the fan was broke!

That day the rep had asked did I want to go and view another 2 rooms so of course I jumped at the chance! This was worse I walked in to find a cockroach crawling over the cooker, so that room was a big no!

The pool, to be honest I thought it wasn’t very clean, we went with another family they stayed in the Thalaski beach village apartments and to me there’s was beautiful! We went to there pool everyday!

As for entertainment there was not one bit at night nothing what so ever to entertain us!

There was a nice bar at the apartment just as you were coming in the barman was very friendly!

The only thing good about it was you were only a few minutes away from the square were all the night life was! There were some nice restaurants one I liked especially was Rikko's he was a lovely man! All in all Cyprus, Ayia Napa was ok! But I wouldn’t recommend Euronapa apartments 2 any one they were awful!

We travel to Cyprus twice a year and always stay at the Euro Nappa apartments. Although very basic it caters for most purposes. We found the new bar man Alex a very friendly man who has only been there for this season.

This time we had a party of twelve ranging from 18 to 68 and found everybody really friendly. It did get a bit noisy some nights but was only for a short period of time. We found the pool area very clean as it has always been on previous visits and never had a problem with the sun loungers.

The bar by the pool is a place to sit and relax in the shade as it does become very hot mid season. The main attraction to Euro Napa is that it’s central to almost everywhere. The square is only a few hundred yards away and the harbour a very short distance walk on the main road. We would recommend Euro Napa to anybody and are again returning in Sept this year.

This is my main point. You don’t! Between 3am and 8am we where awoken every night by drunken hordes, male and female, who do not give a jot about anybody else that may be trying to enjoy there holiday!

The noise that was made by these people was incredible. At no time was it mentioned anywhere that the average age at this hotel was about 191.

Me and my boyfriend stayed at the Euronapa apartments for 2 weeks. The apartment itself is very basic, although you do only sleep there. The fridge came in very handy. The air conditioning was a necessity as it was so hot there, though it could have worked a bit better. Maid service was satisfactory. We often needed to ask for clean towels. This will depend on which cleaner you have as some of them were thorough.

The pool and surrounding was always nice and clean. It is a good idea to put your towels on the loungers early morning because any later than 11am and there would not be any free loungers. The pool bar/restaurant offers a good choice of food and drink at very reasonable prices. They also do takeaways. Expect a long wait if it is busy.

The bar at the front of the hotel is a good place to start the night off, as we did every night. The barman Alex is a star. Very friendly service, again with a good choice at cheap prices. The resort offers plenty to singletons, not so much for couples. There are plenty of places which offer great food and most are very reasonable. Drinks we thought were quite pricey in some places. It is a good idea to have a drink before going out. The Buoys Bar is excellent and you can have a laugh there.

I do recommend a boat trip. We went to see Famagusta (ghost town). From the boat, it looked very eerie. Very cheap at £3 Cypriot pounds each.

It was a real shame on our way home that our flight was delayed for 7 hours. Cyprus is a beautiful island, with beautiful weather. I would definitely go there again, perhaps not to Ayia Napa. It is quite expensive there now. Back in the year 2000 when I was there last it was really cheap. The Euro Napa are basic but clean apartments and aren’t really that bad. They are ideally situated close to everything.

Some reviews really do knock the place, but really it’s not all that bad.

Fantastic accommodation £4 CY to the gorgeous Nissi Beach & also the same to the square. The apartments cleaned almost everyday and towels twice weekly - maid was lovely - done the dishes and everything! The only down side was the air conditioning is poor - it was better than nothing but I would recommend taking your own fan if possible - air con only worked if windows and patio door was closed!!! The air con is only in the bedroom too so we ended up moving the mattress from the sitting room into the bedroom as there were 3 of us!

The hotel staff were ok if a little unfriendly at first...they loved our critic by the end of the week though even smiling!!!

Most drinks are £3 CY for cocktails or bottles - some places were 2 for 1 but not the good places i.e. titanic and Hollywood boulevard but you get free club passes (entry B4 2 though!!) and free shots (lethal!!!). We ended up at Castle Club & Car Wash most nights but the Black & White club was recommended by lots of peeps!

We met lots of fab people so singletons will enjoy but it's also fab for couples - not for families & kids though! Some places were quite edgy but this was usually drunken teenagers arguing about lads or lasses (SAD!)!!! I'm sure you will have a fantastic holiday so get packing!!!
