The hotel is located minutes away from the motorway junction, and incredibly easy to find.
First impressions aren't great as the hotel looks like a coat of paint wouldn't go amiss, but once through the doors the hotel is lovely, well looked after and it would appear that there is ongoing room refurbishment.
The hotels location so great virtually opposite the park and ride, so access to the city centre is very easy, Chester being an excellent city for culture vultures or shopaholics!
It’s convenient location also means that it is an ideal base for visiting the north west or Wales.
My only faults are with the hotel staff, the standard of service was terrible, a little staff training would help, the restaurant service was very slow, but the food was lovely (when it arrived), but perhaps I just went on the wrong weekend.
I would recommend this hotel, despite the impolite staff, as its location is ideal for my needs.

The hotel chester is a lovely hotel, my problem is the Hoilday inn company when I booked the hoilday it said rooms from £39.95 but when I got my bill it was £79.95 when I phone up about it was told that £39.95 is a rought guilde of the prices, of couse by this time it was to late so if you are booking make sure you know ytour prices before you go.
