Hotel Belvedere

Back to Mykonos and back to the Belvedere. This hotel really is a cool and laid back place to stay. Although the rooms are small, they are well equiped and well serviced. The pool area is fabulous with some great loungers and staff attentiveness is superb. The breakfast buffet seemed scaled back somewhat frommy last visit, not sure why this was and the selection was rather limited compared to other similar hotels I have stayed at. The Belvedere's a beatutifully designed, sunshine-y, boutique retreat. The best bits are the Mykonian-themed whiteness which predomiates throughout, the pool-side day beds (including doubles and four-posters), the Korres in-room toiletries, the personable and professional staff, the high quality food and drink offering, the fact that it's a stones throw from Little Venice, the port and everything else Mykonos Town had to offer and the fitness studio which is well above the hotel norm. After reading all the great reviews both on tripadvisor and in the press and hearing great word of mouth about this place, I was really surprised when it turned out to be rather ordinary. The staff could not have been more pleasant, and there was nothing wrong with it per se, but the rooms are very basic and not terribly modern or upscale (unless you consider the mere presence of a DVD player and stereo upscale) and the pool area is nice but nowhere near as luxurious-looking as the photos of it. relaxing envrionment - a very nice pool, you just dont want to leave the hotel! good service quiet area yet within walking distance (10 mins) to the town good value for money for sure would recommend anyone staying in Mykonos to pick this hotel!!

We stayed at the Belverdere for 1 week. It was just great! Not noisy at all (maybe because we were there before high season and Mykono's streets were still quite enough...) The hotel location is perfect. From the pool and terraces you have a beautiful view over Mykonos and the sea. Mykonos village and just outside. You reach Little Venise or the port in less than 10 minutes, walking in the lovely streets of Mykonos. This is a terrific facility. The pool area and view are so wonderful that it was difficult to leave the premises. The staff were extremely friendly and went to great lengths to make sure that our needs were met. I highly recommend this hotel and hope to be able to visit again myself.

The hotel itself was okay, the room we got had no view at all, even though we paid extra for a garden view, unless you count the extra shrubs in the alley way a garden. One thing I would say is that I would strongly recommend NOT to try the Nobu Matsuhisa restaurant attached to the hotel. First off, though we had reservations and the entire place had only about 3 tables seated at 11pm, they sat us by the garage door toward the back of the place. I have been to mykonos several times, as well as greece in general. Nothing compares in any way to the service, beauty, attention to detail, and chic-ness of the Belvedere. What's so great about it is that the hotel is small enough that you start to know everyone in it and time and time again once i leave my yearly 10 day trip i feel as if im leaving family (a very chic family at that!) every time. Don't believe the other reviews...this place is great. From the breakfast in the morning (which I was able to get to twice in my 8 day stay) to the relaxed atmosphere in the evenings. Belvedere is a nice retreat from the town, while being an nice walk (few minutes). The service, food, drinks, and pool are amazing. Not cheap, but hey, you only live once.

Fantastic spot to relax during the day. You won't even feel the need to head to the beach given the pool & lounge set up. Great service around the pool and good location to walk into Mykonos town in a few minutes. Perfect for nights out at Space as it's a short trek home and given cabs in August are an ultimate nightmare to get back and forth to Paradise beach, staying at the Belvedere is a welcome location at 7am. Only real downsides here are the pool closes at 7pm to cater to the Nobu restaurant clientelle and the rooms are definitely as... more
