This hotle is very nice...It was only about a 5 minute walk to the square whereas Nissi beach was about a 40 min walk so i would suggest getting a taxis there..
There are quiet a few shops and bars near the hotel and it is a very nice area where the people are friendly.
The hotel is very nice and clean and spacious.. If i was to visit napa again i would stay here and i highly recommend it to other people...
Was very good and enjoyed it...

Was very good and enjoyed it alot, something for everyone there...main pool which can get quite noisy, middle pool which is laid back and fun, and 3rd, which is relaxing. The apartments r basic but good and clean, cleaners were very good aswell, coming every ither day, only downside was that it got rather noisey at times but what do expect, its NAPA!!! Would reccomend it to anyone under the age of 30, but not exactly suitable for familys. Location was brillient, right near the centre (5min walk) and only an 8 euro ride 2 Nissi beach!!! :D
I have just come back from 2...

I have just come back from 2 weeks in the Senator Apartments and I can't praise the Hotel enough. The location is really good- although the rooms we had were on the main road and there was a lot of traffic noise. You can get to the main strip in 10 minutes whether you walk up or down the road. It's quite a walk to the nearest beach but taxis are cheap. There are 3 big pools all with their own bar and all very clean. The rooms were cleaned regularly. We had a broken fridge when we arrived and 24hrs after reporting it we came back from the pool to find we had a brand new one. The air con is essential and definately worth the money. The staff were very friendly and really made an effort to make everyone feel welcome. I would definately recommend it especially to groups of young people.

I stayed at senator in June 07 with 6 of my friends. When we arrived and went to reception to book in and get our keys the man at reception was quite rude and didnt smile once! He didnt even want to show us to our room we had to find our rooms ourselves!
I read a review saying it is "against the law" to sit out by the pool after 1am, that is rubbish cuz when we got there at 5am there were people still drinkin by the pool but they do tell you to be quiet!
When we got to our rooms they were filthy! the floor and the bathroom was the worst! everytime we went out we had to wash our feet. The bath was grose and we even tried to clean it ourselves but the dirt wouldn't come off. And the sofa bed had springs and wood poking out of it so it was very very uncomfortable! But to be honest i wasn't overly bothered because we weren't in our rooms a lot of the time, only to sleep!
The air con isn't very good as it kept turning off but we managed to get someone to fix it!
The pools were clean and the middle pool was the best with Kyriakos behind the bar he was wicked! and cocktails were only £1, happy times! The pools were cleaned every night and day so they are clean!
The hotel is close to the main square only bout a 10min walk, if that! The bars and clubs are amazing!! the main beach (nissi beach) is abit further but its the best beach!! definitely go! the beach is gorgeous and there is a live dj, bars, shops, food and watersports, i loved it there!
Overall the hotel in my eyes wasnt a 3* especially the room we were in!
I would love to go back to ayia napa one day but not to this apartment!!

im 18 and i came with my boyfreind for 2 week, we was delighted by the location as it was only a 5 minuit walk to the square, the staff were freindly and the middle pool was very nice, there are 3 pools but the middle one was the only nice one, the others looked mucky and small. the food was well priced althought abit more then what you would pay in england there was good music played at the pool bar and the staff were very pollite.
we stayed in a studio appartment on the 2nd floor in block E across the road from the main reception, We was supprised how small and dated the room was, the ammeanities where very basic and the blacanony overlooked wastland and a main road.
We was not that botherd by this as we was never in the appartment much anyway. the beds where very uncomfortable and it was hard to wake up without neck and back ache.
the room was ok at first but on the 12th day we came home from a night out at 5 in the mornin to find ants alloever the surfaces and the fridge and aircon no longer worked but the aircon was mended very quickley. all holliday we couldnt get the oven to work. we found that it is proberbly cheeper eating out because simple things such as bread cost much more then the price in england. we also noticed that things were beeing thrown away, in the first week my facial wipes went missing and then our free entry club tickets that had been left on the sides,we beleive that the maides had thrown them away. i think that these appartments are perfect for young people but not familes that are looking for a reasonable stay near all the nightlife.
i would definatly come back to these appartments again.

I stayed in the appartments last Aug and I thought they were great.
My appartment was basic but clean and comfortable. We had no problems with ants or cockroaches during our stay. I also found the staff to be very friendly and the food was also nice. I cannot understand why people are complaining about the views from their appartments, surely they did not come the whole way to Ayia Napa to stare out their window.
All in all, I would recommend the appartments to stay in if you want value for your money and to have a good holiday.

As with previous reviews I was a bit worried about going to the Senator, purely because of the terrible reviews on this site. We did call up Libra to try and change hotels, they couldn't do this and I've got to say I'm really glad. The apartments were fantastic!!
When we first walked through the doors of the hotel we were greeted with a friendly receptionist who spoke perfect English so there were no language barriers at all. We were told where our room was and made our way upstairs. When we got to our room and opened the door we were really pleased. The room was really spacious with lots of storage space in the bedroom and the kitchen. The kitchen facilities were the best I've ever had in all my 10 years of going to Ayia Napa, normally you get a microwave and a few utensils; however we had a full oven with a hob and an excellent range of utensils to use!
The apartments were cleaned 5 times a week to a really good standard. When we first got there, there were a couple of ants around (this is something which is common all over Cyprus, I've stayed in a five star hotel in Paphos and we still got a few ants.) You just need to make sure that you don't leave any food lying around for them to get attracted by. All we did to get rid of them was got some ant spray and put it across the door way and we didn't have a single ant for the rest of the 2 weeks!
The pools were lovely; my fave was the middle one with Kyriakos running the bar. He has a reputation for being the best bar man in Ayia Napa and I would have to agree with this!! Also he played the best tunes.
The hotel is about a fifteen minute walk to the nearest beach but if you don't mind a bit of a longer walk (about half an hour) you can get to Nissi beach which is much more beautiful and fun. To get to the square it is about a 5 minute walk.
I would thoroughly recommend the Senator to anyone; they have fantastic facilities and great entertainment.
Also whilst you're there make sure you try Los Bandido's for the best meal you will get in Ayia Napa and also the Amberleigh Tavern is a traditional Cypriot restaurant and we had a fantastic night in there.
This was very good value for...

This was very good value for money. We had a one bedroom apartment overlooking one of the pools. It was 10 minutes walk from the town centre and nightlife.
The staff were helpful and polite and the room was fine and the maid came in almost every day. We were concerned it might be a bit rowdy, but the hotel is in a quiet area and the town was lively and a happy place.
We would return there.
Looking through the Brochure,...

Looking through the Brochure, Senator seemed a perfect hotel with friendly staff and excellent facilities…Well I thought wrong!
From the moment we got dropped off at the hotel the staff were very rude, as me and my friend were given our keys we couldn’t find our room, so I went and asked a member of staff to help us.
The guy was very rude and actually shouted saying he was busy, he eventually showed us, and it was a totally different block dumped right at the back out of the way.
When we entered the apartment, there was a strong stale smell straight away and the bathroom was disgusting; stunk of urine. The showers had all limescale round the edge.
Then to top things off I went to get in my hard bed and there were ants swarming in the bed, in the end me and my friend had to share the sofa bed in the front room, as this was the only place where there were no ants.
The air con didn’t work, so I asked a member of staff to have a look, he came up to our room and said there was nothing he could do about it, the temperature was terrible and we were sleeping with the windows and balcony doors open every night.
Then there was the pool it was disgusting, it had a horrible thick scum line all the way round that if you would of leaned on you would of got it on your costume, then there was boisterous men jumping in the pool on chairs!! The staff said nothing thank god there wasn’t children in the pool
How the brochure can say it’s suitable for anyone I’ll never know, let alone families with children!!! It would have been impossible to sleep for children, as up until 9am in the morning there would be shouting, singing and foghorn blowing!! So I’m glad we spent most of the time clubbing,
I would not visit this hotel again, never in a million years, and would strongly advise anybody else who is considering it that it will be a holiday from hell.!!!!
Great hotel, had a problem first...

Great hotel, had a problem first night with one cockroach and some ants but soon got rid of them. Apart from that a brilliant hotel.
Went there with 2 children and wife and it was cool, loads of football on the projector.
Good food, clean rooms, friendly people. Excellent ten out of ten, not far from square and river reggae, free aircon.

I read the reviews for the Senator Apts before I left and was going with a bit of trepidation but was very surprised how good the apartments were.
They were very well equipped, very spacious and we couldn't hear any noise at night. It was always clean and my wife and had a really enjoyable time. We had the choice of three pools but we spent most of our holiday on the beach which was only a 5 minute walk away.
The staff were really nice and approachable and all spoke fluent English.
Thanks again Senator.

I have 3 young children and just returned from here on our honeymoon (yes we took the kids).
Before we went to the Senator I read the reviews on here and went straight to my local Thomson shop and asked to be moved to a different hotel as the reviews made this sound less than ideal for me and my young family (10,8,5).
To cut a long story short Thomson could not swap us to somewhere else so we had to go to Senator and I was very pleasantly surprised when we arrived we were in room 223 but every room we saw was the same and it was very clean and spacious with huge kitchen area 2 big bedrooms with air con and a nice bathroom with shower.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful and as far as the younger groups being inn a different block this is true to a degree as we asked we were told they tried where possible to but the groups together and away from families with small children etc for noise reasons which worked brilliantly.
The food was good the pools were very clean and overall it was a great apartment /complex.
Please don’t let the other reviews put you off because believe me I am very fussy and can always find something to complain about and I could not find a single fault with The Senator.
I will add though that in peak season I can imagine there would be more groups of people and that may not be ideal but it does not matter where you stay in Ayia Napa in peak season you will always get that.
All the families there while we were there (beginning September) all felt the same as us and thought it was great and had a lovely atmosphere.
In case you are wondering the only reason I gave a score of 9 is because they could have entertainment every night instead of the 5 times a week!
Enjoy!!!!!!!!

where do i start !!!!
weve just returned from Aiya Napa after 2 weeks & it was the best holiday ever. The senator apts where very clean, staff where really friendly & the food was basic but ok.
The senator is certainly not a family place as its full of young party goers so wouldnt recommend taking young children.
The resort was amazing with so much on offer .Nissi beach is a must with its live dj,water sports, food & drink .... what more could you ask for while soaking up the sun.
Hiring a quad bike to razz around on is a must & so much fun but be careful as there can be some larey people on them.nightlife was amazing but note it doesn't liven up till 12ish jurassic, bedrock & titanic great bars then starkeys, play or club ice for yr clubs then either river regee or aqua as yr after clubs which r open till 7am .......awesome !!!!
wednesdays & sundays are flight change over days so these tend to be quieter nights so take advantage of these to have a chill out ... if there for 2wks you'll need it to recharge. Overall a fantastic place youv'e got the beaches, hot weather, good food & amazing nightlife ... we'll definatley be returning next year.

I have just returned from a holiday in Ayia Napa, in which myself, and three friends booked on the Thompson website, all of us are aged 23-25. It is hard to know where to start.
Firstly, we thought we would be getting half decent accommodation seen as we were booking with a reputable tour operator, which classed the apartments as 3 star. The photographs on the website certainly made the place look much nicer than in reality.
We arrived to the reception of the Senator during the day, where it was filled with young people drunk and watching the football, maybe not such a problem to us, but for the party of 22 in one family with children and babies, I felt most sorry for, I am sure they were not expecting that.
We were then told to wait whilst a member of staff could show us to our room. This was because we were being dumped in an apartment block over the main road away from the main complex. We later discovered this is where they place all the young holiday makers. Our apartment was on the ground floor.
When we entered the room we were shocked at how small it was for 4 adults sharing, and how dirty and dated it was. We have never stayed in such a run down place. Our balcony was over looking wasteland! The cooking facilities were good, but we were not planning on doing much in the way of cooking.
My friend’s bed (sofa bed in front room) was so uncomfortable, you could feel a plank of wood running through the middle when you lay on it. She certainly drew the short straw!
The bedroom had air-con, but the other room did not, this resulted in my friends having to sleep with window open on a few occasions. Unfortunately for them, as whilst they slept they had their mobile phones stolen from their beds which were in easy reach through the open window, the apartment was in an ideal position for thieves to target.
The staff were not sympathetic about this incident, and we feel there should be warnings to other holiday makers especially to those on the ground floor.
Once we had settled in a bit, and started to look forward to the holiday another incident occurred.Ants! Firstly on the balcony, then, inside the apartment. They would congregate on the tiniest of crumb; we had to be so careful not to drop any food. If we left any unwashed dishes in the sink and went out, when we returned you could not see the white of the plates for the ants that had swarmed all over them, it was disgusting.
We had cockroaches on the balcony, which I am sure that if we hadn’t of spotted them would have come in through the open sliding doors.
A positive point was that the cleaners came every other day with clean towels and bedding. The Senator apartments were in a good position for Ayia Napa square, and on the whole our holiday was a memorable and enjoyable one. But this was due to the resort itself and not the Senator Apartments.
