I have just returned from a week at the Nicholas Apartments, i must admit i was slightly worried before i went as i had read other reviews and the cost was very low, but it turned out to be a lovely place. The rooms where cleaned everyday and towels and sheets changed. The bedrooms have plenty of storage and the living rooms also, even the little cooker with hobs worked really well. The swimming pool was an amazing size but big enough for the amount of people that where there at the time and was always clean.
The location of the hotel was really convinent for shops/restaurant and the beach, and was only a 5 minute walk to the main nightlife ( so was far away for it to be quiet at night)

We had concerns staying in the Nicholas Appartments but on arrival we were surprised as it looked OK, as we explored we realised that we were next to a graveyard, our pool was in the shape of a coffin & was disgusting there was bugs in the pool everyday and we were unable to lie by the pool it was that bad...We had to treck down to Nissi Beach (which was beautiful) everyday.
The room was average sized however had a carpet in the bedroom that did not get hooverd (not the best with 3 girls with long hair & sandy feet) lucky if we got clean towels every 3 days... We had 3 cockroaches in our appartment as it was so dirty. We couldnt see out our balcony for bushes & our balcony door wouldnt shut!
All in all ok location, bad appartments and our standards are not even high. Dont go here!!!

looking for ages to book a decent last min hol, local travel agent recomended the nicholas appts in ayia napa , we both thought mmmm being in our forties but to celebrate our wedding aniversary in paphos 4 years ago we thought what the H,....on first arrival we thought eyup (yeh were from yorkshire) bit dodgey dirt track , but when the sun showed all was revealed bang on appts. basic but clean ALL 2 WEEKS, location, non better ,ayia napa (even for our age) cracking!!! wonderful aniversery and birthday while there, pubs ,grubs n doh dah days all the ways , "WE'LL BE BACK"

i stayed here for 7days with 23 other people in my party and i had the best holiday ever!! in terms of the place its good for people going to ayia napa to party, because its pretty basic. We had booked 8 rooms which were dotted all over the apartment block which was alittle annoying. The manager, well he claimed 2 b, was only interested in sex! he made me extremley strong cocktails everyday which were cheap and really nice and the food was okay too, but often only had breakfast there. It is alittle werid though that the pool was in shape of a coffin and next to the place there was a grave yard but i got over that!! the barman can be very rude and often threated to throw us out and was always telling us off!! then again there was a massive group of us and we did break a window and shouted all the time but we are 18 year olds on holiday!!which i guess he didnt realise that, i would defo come here again though because it is a great clubbing holiday. the barman could be nice though he gave us free tickets to one of the big clubs castle. the postion of the place is good too a 10 minute walk from the square so it was very near. Your not allowed in the pool after 8 because they appartley put chemicals in it, and i got thrown in by the lads and the owners went mental so i wouldnt go in if i were you lol! but one night when we got back we had a pool party but i was too drunk to go in!! i would advise getting air con its 80euros all week with the safe but the only problem is the air con is only in the bedroom so if theres more than 2 of you, you have to leave the door open!! however the pool sent our swim suits and hair green which was so annoying!! We often cooked food there ,pasta from the local supermarket and the oven is hard 2 work and the pans were dirty when we arrived, o thats another thing the maid was sooo annoyin when i was hungover one day in bed she made me get out of bed to change the sheets i was not happy! all in all in was a perfect place for us to stay, enjoy your holiday and i advise going out every night as the night life is amazing and so different to here!!

my boyfriend and i stayed at the hotel at the start of june 2009 and what a brill holiday we had!!!! the hotel was fantastic and very clean!!! the pool was cleaned throughly and the staff were helpful and friendly. we did the bar crawl on the first night and this was geat, with a meal and olympic top included for 25 euros each, and it gave us an idea of waht to expect in the square when we ventured out by ourselves the next night- which was a great experience.
we did request a low floor but were at the top not ideal for humping up two suitcases with no lift! lucky i had my boyfriend to help. the rep wasnt there when she should of been according to the rep time table when we trired to book a visit to the water park this did us a faviour as we looked around for the best deal in the local excursion places and found a cheeper deal with a very nice man in a shop near enough opposite macdonalds.
all in all a top holiday ayia napa is a great place to vist the hotel was next to macdonalds and a two minute walk away from the main centre. this hotel catered for all ages, groups, couples and families.

We stayed at the Nicholas every year since 1996 as did the majority of the people who we met there every September. The apartments are basic but clean and the staff at reception and the maids couldn't do enough for us. What made us return year after year was Steve and his family who are absolutely brilliant. For the person who went back to look for Steve in 2007 he moved to the Dyomolus and then to The Vias in 2008. If you check for the Nicholas next year he's hoping to be back in there and as soon as we find out for definate I will post another review. For those who had a bad time there in 2007 and 2008 don't be put off going again once Steve and his family get back in. We constantly praised these apartments in out tour operator questionairre as did a lot of others but sadly Thomsons did not listen to its customers. Whichever Tour operator goes in to Nicholas this year will make there money from us and the other folk we meet up with every year. Steve and his family have people who visit him every year and he keeps in touch with us all. A top place for a great holiday!! and by the way we are all in our Fortys. Your never to old to party!!

We arrived about mid-day we were taken to the reception by a Rep and the owners were really friendly they helped us through our stay.
The rooms were standard what you would get for a self catering place. It was pretty clean no ants or anything.
It was lively by the pool in the day time however they played the same c.d over and over again so take some c.ds if your going to sit by the pool all day for 7 or more days!
i would recommend this hotel as it is a very short walk to where all the clubs are its near to some lovely resurants and right next to MacDonalds.

thought this hotel was disgusting, booked a room for 4 people and only 1 of the rooms had air con, the apartments were not clean and had stains and hair every where. thought the staff were extremly rude and were not willin got help in any situation. would not recommend this apartment to anyone.

WHEN WE ARRIVED WE WERE PLEASED WITH THE ACCOMODATION.....CLEAN AND TIDY(we only saw 1 cockroach the whole time we were there!!) AND RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF ALL THE HYPE, THE SQUARE JUST 2MINS WALK AWAY.....AND NISSI BEACH A 5MIN QUAD/BUS/TAXI RIDE AWAY!!
THIS HOTEL SPECIALISES IN THE 18-30 AGE GROUP SO I WOULDNT RECOMMEND GOING IF YOU ARE BORING AND DONT LIKE MUCH NOISE IN THE EARLY HOURS OF THE MORNING!!HAHA (that was all part of the fun for us)
THE POOL WAS BASIC BUT IT HAD THE SUN DIRECTED ON IT ALLLLL DAY SO IT WAS NICE!!....AND THE AREA AROUND THE POOL WAS ALWAYS CLEAN AND TIDY!!
NOW FOR THE PROBLEMS....THE C.L.E.A.N.E.R.S!!...THEY WERE EXTREMELY RUDE, MAINLY DUE TO THE FACT THAT THEY COULDNT SPEAK A SINGLE WORK OF ENGLISH!!....THEY LOOKED DIRTY AND SWEATY ALL THE TIME AND ONLY CHANGED THE TOWELS EVERY 3 OR 4 DAYS...WHICH DEFOZ WASNT ENOUGH!!!!
THEY ALSO GAVE US DIRTY SHEETS WHEN THEY CHANGED THEM!!
I ALSO NOTICED A FEW OF MY THINGS MISSING, BATTERIES, CIGARETTES ETC. (the cleaners were the only other people that had access to our room)
ALTHOUGH THE PEOPLE THAT WORKED THERE WERE GENERALLY FRIENDLY PEOPLE, MOST OF THEM DIDNT HAVE A CLUE HO TO DEAL WITH CUSTOMERS' NEEDS AT ALL!!
HOWEVER OVERALL I HAD A BRILLIANT TIME IN THESE APARTMENTS....THE ONLY THING I WOULD RECOMMEND IS NEW STAFF HAHA!!
(also dont be put off by the fact there is a graveyard nearby....its is tiny...and you can hardly see it due to a wall and some trees)

Omg actual soooooo good. Would defo go bk here!! mind yoo wen a went thr was a group of 24 lads n we whr all on club 18-30 so i would defo say this accomodation is sutied mre for younger ppl who r on holiday fur a long 14nyt party n dnt mind basic clean accomodation. Would recommend families here as drunken ppl may coz a bit of noise at nyt. But if yoo dnt mind tht defo stay here. ITS THEEEEEEEEEE PLACE 2 B :D. Goin bk to napa nxt yeer n a wld stay here agen.
Its clean, comfy, n ryt nxt too mcd's wot else does an 18yeer old girl need :P
