After reading the a Review i felt the need to add my comments. I stay in glasgow and work in aberdeen every couple of weeks, where my work offer the choice of accomidation. between 10-15 times i have stayed at this hotel, where i can tell you that i have always found it a very pleasent place to stay. the hotel is very clean, the staff are very friendly. and most of all the food has always been to an excelent standard. The hotel serves one of the best Aberdeen Angus Steak pies i have ever tasted. previously working as a Qualified chef i beleive the food to be some of the best ive tasted yet! The only downfall I beleive this hotel does have is the variation of room sizes it has to offer. sometimes i have found myself in a room with double and single beds + a large two seat lounge chair all with plenty of room aswel, and then other times the room i have only has a single bed with barely room for you or anything else. so always good to request room 12. Overall i feel this hotel is a great wee find and i highly recomend it to others for a short stay.

" Our stay resembled a trip to Fawlty... "
Submitted By: Mrs L Bencroft
Our stay resembled a trip to Fawlty Towers! I was on my guard all the time, half expecting Basil Fawlty to put in an appearance.
The rooms were cramped; not large enough to swing a hamster, never mind a cat. We were asked to leave the 'bar' at 11 as it was 'bedtime'!!
The best was yet to come - the bed hadn't been changed since the previous occupant spent the night and the bedroom walls shook as people slammed doors downstairs.
All in all a thoroughly unpleasant night.
BUT there was still breakfast; a selection pack from Kellogg’s as well as a CUP of coffee and porridge thick enough to stand a spoon in. If only I had thought to take a photograph.
As we left the hotel we asked to see the manager but to no avail. I repeatedly phoned at least eight times, but there was no-one who could deal with my complaint.
Steer well clear of this house of horrors.
